After days of staff keeping me in the hospital, finally a free letter was issued right at the closing ceremony of the sparing.
I actually prefer spending time alone or sleeping all day rather than attending events. It's very unexpected what it will be like later. Vaughan provides a celebration event like this so that the residents can have fun after two full weeks taking care of sparing. Indeed Head Master Lucian had his own way of entertaining his members.
I let out a long breath, especially now that Daniel and Crist could not escape from my side as if knowing I could escape at any moment.
"Where are you looking, ha?! You don't miss the closing ceremony yesterday. I'd be willing to leave Cecil to take care of you." Daniel began to fold two hands behind his head. "I'm worried to know."
Crist's laughter suddenly broke, spontaneously drawing our attention to him. "Let's just say that since Cecil is more interested in Fate, you're getting harder and harder to get close to him."
Daniel's face immediately flushed and turned the opposite face away from us. "Y-yeah, that's, but I'm worried about Red."
Now his two hands are squeezing back to the side of the body. In a soft voice he said, "Now look at Red like that."
Instantly desolate filled the place, only the clattering of steps echoed as we combed the passageway towards the side courtyard of the academy where the event was going to take place. Why does it suddenly feel awkward? I immediately turned my head to the left, Crist holding his chin with a hand that folded-like people thought.
What is it thinking in such a situation?
Finally looking right-he-right, Daniel too? The blonde's two hands in her pants pocket, she looked down with a serious face until her forehead wrinkled.
"Umm, sorry to worry you guys," I said nervously, trying to break the silence.
Uh! Daniel suddenly grabbed me with one hand, forcing me to bend a little. "Let us enjoy this show! If I don't cry ...."
Is Daniel going to cry? I looked at him in wonder, but he roared at the horse. "You know what? They open small stalls, nah anyone selling shaved ice is really good, must try!"
"Ah, i-iya .. fine."
Hearing the answer Daniel also released me with a proud gurgle, even to the point of patting my back. Oh my God, he's always excited. I chose to look at Crist, he still chuckled until his blue eyes closed.
"Yes, you better follow the show this time. I heard tonight there's gonna be a surprise."
Suddenly Daniel leaned towards Crist, I was a little surprised that he was right in front of me now. "Heh, what surprise?"
The one to go was just grinning and raising both shoulders. "If I tell you, isn't it a surprise?"
"Heh, that is, knows a lot but is sneaky," chirped the blonde by leaning her hand against my shoulder-ah, do I just look like property?
Finally our steps stopped, right in front of the side courtyard of the academy which was. Many people passed by and small shops filled the roadside. This page is indeed suitable for opening a kiosk. More iron benches decorate.
Daniel's eyes immediately sparkled, eagerly pulling me and Crist together.
Actually following a celebration like this is not bad either. A lot of it is presented. Starting from food; drinks; accessories, which for sure it's all from a hobby society. It was obvious one of the stalls was showing off a landscape poster and a photo sheet, I'm sure they were a photographic society.
Ah, finally Daniel's hand link came off, I looked around too. Although I have lived in Vaughan for a long time, this is my first time attending an event. It felt a little strange and unusual to the point that the soot eyes were aiming to and fro; trying to look around.
Far ahead there was a huge stage until it filled the end of the courtyard. It looks like the stage I used to watch on television for field concerts. Wait, is there really going to be a concert? What a surprise tonight----
"God!" Suddenly I was surprised to reflex gasp by touching the face on the left because of the cold piercing the cheek. Ha-ah, the freezing taste is really sticky like being hit by a lump of ice-eh? It is ice, more precisely shaved ice.
"Why? Curious about the stage?" ask Crist with a casual smile and thrust out a paper bowl filled with shaved ice with syrup ... heem, maybe strawberries? The other hand also held the shaved ice.
I looked at the alternation between Crist and the ice, making the young man nod at the still loyal smile. "Take it, I'll buy it for you."
In a blush I accepted it. "Umm, thank you, Crist."
Ha-ah, why do people like to grop me ....
"Heh, wait! It's good to play!" In a hurry Daniel chased us, sitting on one of the empty park benches under a strong shade tree.
The taste of ice is not bad. Unlike ice cream that has a soft texture, this is hard but melts on the tongue. In retrospect, Crist was happy to help and help me from the beginning to arrive at Vaughan. Although not too close because it is always busy with missions and helping other members, but it is different.
"Hey? Why Red? Oh, about that stage?" Ah, Crist realized I noticed and immediately spoke with a light smile. "Both noon there will be a welcome and a closing ceremony for the top three, as always."
Actually that's not what I was thinking, but still nodding to his explanation.
"Fate rank two, he will definitely stand on stage."
"Heee, is that it?"
"Yes, in a moment, after lunch break .. oh, another hour and a half" he explained after seeing the watch on hand.
"Haaah, broad daylight eating ice is indeed the most steady-ow, ow! Duh, freeze!"
Suddenly Daniel shouted. It seemed like we were too busy ourselves that it started to seek attention. That's not the first time it's been this crazy.
Crist laughed at his behavior and advised him not to eat ice in a hurry. I covered my mouth with my right hand .. while eating ice suddenly felt a brief cold sting on the head-ah, yes, exposed to Brain Freeze! I also chuckled. It feels like a long time has not spent three hours like this because of their respective tasks and missions.
Feels fun.
We went around and enjoyed everything. Again, Crist always gave me various kinds of food. For some reason, Crist and Fate feel almost the same. I'm not stopping breathing.
Until the appointed time, EVE's voice echoed through the Heart Core because it gave an announcement gathered in front of the vast stage. Many people filled the courtyard, though I'm sure not all residents came - because I never attended an event like this.
Ah, Head Master Lucian did the opening. His stern and authoritative-sounding accent filled the entire corner. He made affirmative speeches about our duty, vision, mission to be a member of Vaughan; as well as remarks at the top three. The first is the Fedrian Lux, the second is Fate, and the last is a member of the Disciplinary Department ... Theo Lanctern's.
Before long an enormous holographic screen appeared backstage, displaying a top ten ranking list. Now the average is met by a Intermittent-Discipline ....
Rank eight's christ? Ah, she advanced so fast and I-heee, got in the rankings too? Although it dropped from seven to nine but the incident at that time. Could this be what they call an assessment based on the whole data, not just the result of sparing?
Finally came the personal welcome of each of the top three ranked disciples. Starting with Lux-eh? Why is he embracing Fate? Even those golden eyes stared proudly at the entire person below the stage.
With great self he took the mic in front and incised loudly, "Later in the evening we'll give you a surprise, make sure it's present!"
Is this the surprise Crist mentioned? Why does not like to meet the chest niche? However, there was one thing I really rattled .. The expression of the girl who could not escape from his hand, Fate, carved a sour face. I remember she was tired easily, did Lux think of that?
"Could it be that Senior Lux would declare her love for Fate?"
"Haa, is that right?! But it does fit each other, it continues to be equally disciplinary!"
"Ahahahaha, that's right! I'll support them if they're made!"
Ha-ah, now it ends up crowded until many disciples rummagingly make my ears hot, especially in the chest. I decided to retreat but felt something pull my hand.
"Eh, Red, where are you going? Keep me here! Promised already?"
Without looking back, I jerked my hand to get away from Daniel's link and said, "Rest for a bit."
I also left the closing ceremony.
