When Demon Child Become Human

When Demon Child Become Human
␑| Guilt

When I opened my eyes, the white ceiling first greeted me, reminiscent of the first time I came to the academy.

Professor Kaidan would usually accompany me in this condition but when looking around. The gaze from the faint blue silver eyes I could not read.

"Eeem, Fate?"

"Have you felt much better?"

I got up from sleep and sat on the edge of the bed to face him. Don't know why breathing feels tight but other than that, it feels fine.

"Yes, well .. maybe."

I stroked my chest and took a deep breath. Fate was still sitting there with his arms crossed and his left leg over his right thigh. With that kind of style and his flat face I feel like.

Maybe it's just my feelings. Moreover, he is more often with me than others if not in the mission.

"What's going on?" I was trying to melt the atmosphere and somehow, the memory felt shaded.

However, Fate did not immediately reply. He watched me cross-legged even his left leg down for leaning towards me. Honestly, it .. made me feel blushed.

"That dimensional mortal belongs to General Faerie Dragon. He was one of the weak but extremely cunning General, the type who liked to play tricks on the enemy. His breath and scales can remove toxins. Because of his small body, he prefers to use magic."

Ah, I don't know her name is Faerie Dragon, maybe they've investigated it.

"And when we found you, you were already unconscious" continued Fate who surprised me until the soot eyes opened wide.

Now I remember, last tortured by that dragon girl and ended up unconscious.

"How about Crist and Daniel? Are they okay?"

Fate stared straight expressionlessly. He stayed for a while and replied, "They're fine, we've done everything. They also get along earlier than you."

"Such ...."

I'm down. Now the guilt is eating away at my inner self for my inability to do anything and it ends up making them hurt. I clutched both hands that refuted the body on the edge of the mattress in my eyes.

Moreover, the whisper ....

It felt like a ghost scorned and disturbed my broken heart because of various confusing things over false images and illusions. I looked up, the vision felt full of dense fog as if the transparent and bluish-colored sky had emptied like a lie.

My head hurts.

"Where are you going?" ask Fate when I get off the bed.

"Get out."

"Red, you just realized."

"Hmmm. No problem, I'm immortal." And he immediately smiled.

It was a little ... terrible because somehow felt the gripping air around Fate, especially half of his face was faint because it was covered dimly behind the sickle that did not change even a little.

"You rest now or I'll give you a reason to rest."

"But, I-I-"

"Rest," said Fate coldly pointing at me whose reflex was to make the body move by command; go back to sleep and cover itself with a blanket up to half the face.

Fate can be very.

Long time passed, we did not open our voices at all.

I glanced a little and Fate was still sitting leaning back by crossing both hands while closing her eyes as if meditating.

Ha-ah, this is how I'm really being watched ....

Until a knock on the door sounded and appeared the figure of a very neat-Crist long-purple-haired youth. But his steps stopped like a surprise because his eyes were wide open. He looked at Fate and ... pointed at me?

"Red can lay down?"

Fate nodded in response to Crist's question but the young man was still in disbelief and looked at me without blinking.

I said, "What? Don't comment."

And the rarity echoed. The squeaky voice sounded a little disturbing when Crist pulled the bench to the side of the mattress I was sleeping on. At the same time, Fate walked out while grasping the phone and putting it into the ear. Maybe I'll call.

Now the bespectacled young man sitting beside me carves a shady smile. "Thank God you're conscious. You fainted long enough, I'm a little worried."

"How long?"

"Hem, about four days."

Wait for. When Professor Kaidan shot me when I first met I only fainted one day even when it was shot right in the heart.

When fighting with the General, despite being tortured, did not reach a vital point like the heart. There is a pin club. If they were aiming for the heart, it would remove a small shield that protected the left chest.

What exactly is going on? Suddenly I felt dizzy, making me hold my head with my right hand.

"Still sick?" ask Crist in an implied accent of worry.

I grimaced a little and replied, "What's wrong."

Instantly I remembered the events of that time, very helpless; unable to protect and ended up making them hurt. If only I could do more ....

I actually had no face to face with Crist and Daniel, ending up bowing my head while linking my fingers. "Sorry at that time .. I can't do a job well."

"I don't know what you mean, Red. You always do missions well even in time in your dimensional portal to the point of sacrificing yourself. A normal person getting an attack would probably die. You're so adamant about protecting us."

"But, you're hurt---"

"Red," Crist said in a soft intonation over drowning, "it was all an accident, don't blame yourself. If you think it was a failure in carrying out the mission, then I should be blamed. I'm responsible for the communications part but can't contact anyone and it ends up messed up."

I was silent and couldn't quibble and actually, it's okay to sacrifice myself. I am immortal. So feeling a little inadmissive but unable to block it as well, it ended in silence with a deep bow.

We both remained silent until voices were present and the white door slid. It turned out to be Fate---

"Thank God! Thank goodness you've come to your senses, son!"

"Mr-ack!"

Unexpectedly my master teacher was also present along with Fate, he rushed to hug me all-out until-ah, hard to breathe! It even incessantly stroked my back in endless whispers of gratitude. Is that Professor Kaidan worried about me?

Suddenly he stopped his embrace and grabbed both shoulders, looked at me from top to bottom and turned to look at Fate. "Red can lay down?"

My reflexes twitched to hear it, why did everyone ask about bed rest by lying in bed for a certain period of time for healing?

Fate nodded in response to his question. But Professor Kaidan looked back at me with a dumbfounded expression. Why does it feel ... a little, upset?

"Don't comment." Laughter broke when I said that.

The living room became very crowded. Professor Kaidan sat on the bed incessantly embracing my shoulder. Crist continued to recount his complaints as a member of the Consultation Department and gave a crisp joke. Fate sat on an ordinary bench, a little chuckling gracefully.

While I was speechless, confused by what happened but seeing their laughter felt .. warm, made me comment on a knotty smile.

It seems that because the tasks and missions have started to be reduced except the important and urgent ones because around June, there will be a re-grade data collection and sparing. The Academy has focused its preparations on this matter for less than a month. We started being released and they spent free time together.

They accompanied me until the afternoon and one by one began to leave the room, remaining Fate who was now sitting on the edge of my bed.

"They're worried about you."

"Yes," I said limply with my eyes half open, "it makes me feel more guilty and worse if I can't protect them."

I turned towards the window, looking back at the unmirrored sky in my eyes. It seems like I am .. afraid of losing.

"You've done your best, I'm sure you can protect them."

"Actually, I'm more capable of using physical power than magic, but I can't."

"If you practice again maybe you can."

"It's not. I've lost a very valuable person with my own sword .. strength alone," I said in an unusual flat accent.

"Mmn, actually---"

Ringing on the phone disconnected Fate's speech and he immediately checked the incoming message. Before long her face turned serious before returning the phone to the pocket of the skirt again. "Taking the sword again or not is your decision. You can think about it all right."

He soon stood up from his seat.

"Power is power, there is no good or evil in power. Destroying or protecting, the answer was in the hands of the power user himself. You who have lost something by your power .. do you choose to drown and waste an opportunity or will you step forward? Think it over, Red."

He began to walk but his steps stopped, his hands frozen when he opened the door. Then Fate looked at me, his bluish silver eyes emitting a twinkle that I could not read.

"I heard you chose Soul Dancer because you wanted to protect, but did you know? It's very easy for a supporter to kill if they want to."

I was so shocked that the eyes of the soot widened to hear that. Before he could ask what he meant, he had already opened the door and stepped out.

"Oh yeah, don't do anything weird until the outpatient free letter from the hospital. I'll go first."

It was his last remark, glancing at it by pointing at me before completely exiting the room; leaving me with an increasingly runny mind as to what those words meant.
