Just a little break

Just a little break
The Story of Midnight Horror (Part 1)

This story takes place in the early '70s. In a village, which is on the outskirts of the big city of Jakarta. The story begins with the love of a young couple who are in love. The man named Jali, the only child of a wealthy landlord. The woman named Romlah, the daughter of the maid at Jali's parents' house.

Who would have thought, the two had a relationship since High School. However, it can be guessed. Jali's parents did not approve. They both did not give up. The various ways they do. So that the Jali family, want to bless their relationship.

Even Jali and Romlah have sworn to live. Jali swore she would never marry another love, if it wasn't with Romlah. The opposite is true with Romlah. They will continue to strive for trust if their love is serious and true.

Jali and her parents lived for several years in the Netherlands. Because his father had a job that made them have to settle there. During that five-year period, Jali and Romlah's communication relationship was cut off.

How cruel longing strangled the two people who were being drunk with romance. How suspicious, who initially just greeted. However, over time became friends of one of them.

This love story is quite sad. After five years in the Netherlands. The Jali family finally returned to Indonesia. The surprising thing for Jali was approaching him. While living in the Netherlands.

It turns out that Romlah is suspicious of Jali. If Jali is married by a noni Dutch friend of her father. Plus it was heated by his friends, if which man could refuse the beauty of the body and beauty of Dutch women.

Three years without news. Then, in the fourth year. A proposal from his father's friend. Think Romlah, rather than waiting for the uncertain. Better, he accepted what was in plain sight. Be a simple wedding party between Romlah and his father's friend's son.

In the fifth year. Romlah was surprised to find Jali still held firm to their promise during her time in the Netherlands. He apologized when before leaving did not report it, but it did not make him escape his promise. He remained loyal to Rome.

While Romlah, when Jali visited his home. She was relaxing at home, holding a fan and taking care of her four-month-old womb. She stroked her stomach, in which there was a child-to-be from her husband. Jali sad? jali angry?

Not really playing sad. Tears flowed unceasingly throughout the day. Because if a man cries, his tears are more honest than women. When asked angry too, not angry anymore.

He slammed all the furniture in his room, and threatened to kill the person who was bothering him. His father and mother were confused as to what to do. His son preferred to lock himself in the room. Eat no, anything won't.

One night, Jali was found hanged in her room. His mother who found him was lifeless. Depends on the sky room. His body turned blue, his tongue stuck out and his eyes bulged like anger.

Jali is buried. His passing left a deep wound for both of his parents. His father went crazy and his mother became sick. This is where the story of the village begins at midnight.

Starting from Shobri, a local employee who was home until late at night. Because overtime doing the job of his boss, who is out of town. He did not know if Jali had died of suicide, so when he came home he just walked casually on his ontel bike.

Shobri's house is a little far from the village office where he works, and passes through Jali's house. That night, the sky was clear. Shobri doesn't know what time it is, he forgot to wear a watch, which he knows must be very late at night. There is no normal human activity anymore.

He came home on his bike. In the middle of the road, he met a figure of a man he knew. It was Jali, she approached and reprimanded him. Shobri sees something strange about Jali. His face was pale, and his eyes were glaring.

Shobri didn't take that dizzy. Because he thought Jali was sick, especially when he asked to be delivered back to his home. Shobri rush to say yes, because he thinks Jali is sick again and wants to get home quickly. The Jali was silent at the time when Shobri chatted on the bike. He just asked for a quick delivery to the house, and then again. Shobri does not take a headache.

Shobri took him to his house. After that, he went to his house. Arriving home. He was greeted by his mother and wife, who were already asleep. His wife woke up and his mother fell asleep. He was given a lot of food by his wife.

“Iyaa Bang, happened to get food from the family Haji Dulloh,” replied his wife.

“From Haji Dulloh. Is there any event up for food sharing!?” shobri said curiously.

“Tahlilan one day Bang Jali. That afternoon he was buried,” said his wife, while taking a spoon and providing a drink.

“Si Jali why!?” shobri shouted starting to panic.

“Mati, Bang. Yesterday he was found hanging himself in his room,” replied his wife.

Shobri's appetite is gone. In front of his house, it was like someone was knocking at the door. Shobri. Before opening the door, he peeked out of the window. It turns out it's on the doorstep.

There's a Jali with a pocong. The shroud was full of red earth. His face was pale, his eyes seemed to be about to pop out, his tongue was sticking out long and his nose was spitting out blood that did not stop flowing. He banged his head against the door of Shobri's house.

Shobri then asked his wife to go into the room and did not open the door. His wife who saw her husband's strange behavior wondered. Shobri's acting like a frightened person. When asked by his wife, Shobri shakily simply replied, “In front of the door. There pocong Jali.”

After the incident, Shobri did not go to work for a week. Those who heard the story believed. There are also those who don't, those who don't. Thinking that Shobri is just tired, because almost every day he comes home from work at midnight.

Three days after Shobri. There's another strange incident. At night, it was a quiet midnight. Suddenly from the family home of Haji Dulloh, there were people shouting. His screams were so loud that it shook the residents who were sleeping.

Residents who feel disturbed and curious to come to his house. Arriving at Haji Dulloh's house. They watched, if the screaming was Haji Dulloh. He was screaming, “My son is home. My son is home!” While running around his house.

The whole village already knew. If it's her son, Jali. He died hanging himself. And who did he see in his house. It does not happen once, but many times in erratic frequency. Until the villagers thought Haji Dulloh was crazy.

Not long ago from the events of Haji Dulloh. Strange, almost terrible events experienced by other villagers. This time it was Maghrib. Not too late at night. His name is Shuaeb, he's a farmer in this village. Married for a long time, his wife was six months pregnant. He was also Jali's playmate as a child.

When adzan maghrib finished reverberating. Shuaeb returned from his vast garden, where he planted cassava, corn, taro and sweet potatoes. Anyway from the results of gardening alone Syuaeb has been able to support his wife and child later.

That day, Shueb came home quite late. Usually in the afternoon we go home. This is until Maghrib just got home. Even if not rebuked by his fellow farmers. Maghrib he may not have come home either.

Suaeb came home on his own foot. Carrying the hoe and the lunch box earlier. When he wanted to cross the bridge connecting the village he used to pass to his garden. He heard voices like, the voices of people crying.

Seriate…
