Ch. 76 - Bitter Defeat
Xiu Juan was just about to hold Xin Chen back, however he currently needed Gu Long alive to interrogate the matter.
Xin Chen moved to attack Gu Long quickly, making the man retreat slowly as the attack came on suddenly.
Gu Long's sword was brushed aside violently by Xin Chen, not giving up too this time Gu Long grabbed onto Youji's brutal arm and made the young man's hand cut off from its place. Spouting fresh blood everywhere made some of the female residents scream hysterically.
Youji growled in pain, intending to avenge Gu Long's actions. But what power, blood continued to flow from his hand that had been severed. It made the young man unable to fight against Gu Long.
While Xin Chen first hit Gu Long's head with the iron he got on the ground. Banging the hard object many times into Gu Long's head until it was battered.
Xiu Juan wanted to hold him back, that sadistic violence was indeed Gu Long's fault at first, Xin Chen just wanted to avenge the man's actions alone.
A few minutes later Gu Long was already sprawled, his consciousness still lingering even though his entire face had swelled up from the blow. Xin Chen turned his head back, towards Youji who was surrounded by residents who were trying to help stop the bleeding.
The sound of feet came closer shortly afterwards.
Youji raised his head as a sword thrust out, Xin Chen handed the Steel Phoenix Sword to the young man. "Take his hand."
"Xin Chen, I..."
"Take his hand or you'll be like this forever. My father will never forgive anyone who dares to torture innocent people. At least if you don't feel like you're doing anything wrong, reward them for what's right." Xin Chen handed the weapon over once more, although Youji was in pain yet he still tried to stand up.
After receiving the sword Youji walked limping towards Gu Long. The man tried to get up but had no power, when he saw Jin Youji approaching he immediately dragged his body backwards.
"Tu-wait... We can talk about this all right..." Gu Long began to tremble, now there was not a single disciple from the Golden Wasp Hill who intended to save him.
Only Gu Long realized, all this time everyone was just afraid of him. When the man was killed, even if they didn't care. It might be better to let Gu Long die in order to get a good leader forward, despite having to pay a fine for what Gu Long has done so far.
Youji had arrived in front of Gu Long, put on a cold gaze and instantly unleashed a sword slash. Making Gu Long's arm cut off, making the fate of the two the same. The man screamed loudly, he glared at Youji full of vengeance. However, he was unable to retaliate because no one wanted to defend him now.
Youji has now been taken to his family home to be treated there, while Gu Long is secured by the envoys brought by Xiu Juan.
The situation started to improve slowly, at least not as bad as it was.
Xiu Juan exhaled heavily, the last time he met Xin Chen his attitude and body was much different to the one he saw now. The look of his eyes changed at the same time.
Wei Feng stole the opportunity to hide Ye Long while the others were preoccupied by Gu Long and Jin Youji, while Xiu Juan was unaware of the Black Dragon's presence, he entered the forest and was startled by quite a terrifying sight.
Without them realizing that another fight was going on in the forest and what made him even more shocked was that the person fighting was an evil spirit.
