The Demon Swordsman 2

The Demon Swordsman 2
Ch. 11 - Silver Pagoda Association

Xin Chen stopped at the place of a mask merchant, he thought for a moment to buy it.

"What would Young Master buy? I have many offers for you, enough with 50 bronze pieces only..." The man took a mask shaped like a bear's head. "You'll get it."

The passersby began to cram behind Xin Chen, inevitably he had to pick and leave immediately. Xin Chen himself did not like the mask offered by the man, instead he was more interested in other masks.

"I bought that one."

The merchant turned his gaze to the side, trying to find what Xin Chen had pointed at. "That?" tanyakanya.

"Yes, that one."

"You still have many other options, Young Master. Look, you're gonna get two masks at once by just giving 50 bronze pieces."

Xin Chen grew bored, as he exhaled he said, "I'll buy that mask." His hand thrust ten gold pieces later, making the seller open his eyes wide.

He did not really recognize who Xin Chen was because he was too old to see someone's face. His wrinkled face began to look trembling, he took the ghostly face-shaped mask. The shape alone had already made anyone would be frightened yet somehow Xin Chen wanted it so badly.

"This mask shouldn't be for sale..." The man shook his head, putting the mask in his bag.

"What's with the mask? Why do you look scared?" Xin Chen held back the man's hand and took the ghost mask inside, watching in a jellied manner but not knowing where the strange place was.

Xin Chen thought no further and immediately put on the mask, instantly feeling a strange pressure running through his blood and unable to recognize what it was. The grandfather of the evil seller saw this, he helped Xin Chen remove the mask in a hurry.

Only a pale face was seen when the old man saw the little boy in front of him. "You all right? Your face looks pale..."

"No, it's because I was raining last night. I bought that mask, it's the money."

The grandfather opened his eyes in disbelief, he was sure his vision was not wrong at all. Even a few seconds later Xin Chen still looked ordinary, there were no strange signs of him happening.

The man knew very well the Blood Ghost Mask in Xin Chen's hands, he himself did not believe that the mask had any evil spiritual power that could injure humans.

Just one month after selling the item he bought on the black market, there have been five buyers who died. And most strangely the Blood Ghost Mask remained back at him after killing the victim.

The man was obviously frightened but he could not tell anyone about this including his wife though. As long as it does not endanger his life and his wife the man will still sell to meet the needs of his life.

When night fell sometimes the grandfather heard the footsteps from the warehouse where he stored merchandise accompanied by faint whispers full of threats.

At first glance he knows a little what the spirit of the mask dweller wants, a human soul. But of every person he tried to enter, none of them survived.

The man realized Xin Chen had gone a little far when he was busy daydreaming, so he spoke up to just tell her how dangerous the mask was.

Among certain unsure of hearing it Xin Chen just assented. The boy disappeared behind the crowd until he could no longer be seen. In the next second the road where the merchant was selling was crowded with residents. Suddenly the man lost his life with his eyes wide open.

Among the crowd stood a mysterious figure who only remained expressionless, right on his waist was seen a shabby cloth with a triangular emblem in which the shape of an eye was wide open. Like the eyes of the mask seller's grandfather when he met his death for no apparent reason.

Satisfied circling the entire village and finding no useful information Xin Chen rested under the tree, the sun began to crawl up making the air too hot. Before long Xin Chen took out the Blood Ghost Mask, just holding it for a moment Xin Chen had already realized something was wrong from this mask.

Xin Chen put it on for a while to make sure the strange power that had invaded him earlier still appeared or not, a minute later nothing happened finally Xin Chen took off the mask again.

The bad assumption of the mask was just a glance in his head, the proof was that the words of the grandfather had no evidence. Perhaps the strange power he felt earlier was purely because he was exhausted. Xin Chen continued his journey of searching for information by wearing the mask.

His footsteps halted at a red pagoda, the place looked closed and not too prominent. Only a few people are welcome inside.

"Hey, what are you doing there?" Xin Chen coughed lightly as a swordsman silently watched.

"I-I just passed by. It just so happened to look around for a while there."

The man scrunched his forehead when he saw the mask Xin Chen was wearing. "What the fuck with that ugly mask, get the fuck out of here before I cut you off!"

Those threatening words came out of his mouth just like that with a hostile face. Xin Chen retreated from there with an annoyed face, although according to but in truth he had no intention of fully obeying the order of the annoying man.

The nosy child started thinking of ways to prank the man, of course Xin Chen would not be silently scolded by people he did not know.

Xin Chen was sure that he was not a good person and that these pagodas themselves had unfamiliar faces in their eyes. Unlike the people from the Shang Empire in general. While it was getting late in his daydream Xin Chen just realized the man who had been snapping at him had already entered the pagoda.

'Either why this place is so strange, it is possible that I will get information from this place.' his inner self when standing in front of the gate. After seeing left right there were no guards there finally Xin Chen ventured to enter.

Just getting a place to hide the three gate guards were already on duty back, Xin Chen heaved a sigh of relief. It was too late for a while that he was sure he would be caught by those people.

Faintly heard the sound of the clattering of horse legs, it seemed that the large group had returned there. It was seen that a 21-year-old young man whom they referred to as the Young Master entered the front yard.

A man almost half a century old welcomed joy, from the face of his son who had returned it seems he brought good news.

"Thanks to the map they gave us we managed to get it, this artifact I'll sell for an exorbitant price!"

"Of course, my son, it's not wrong that I accepted their offer of cooperation. Already, already, let's go in. We're talking about this inside." The man let in with his best smile.
