Ch. 184 - Disappointment of Ren Yuan
The Demon Queen had yet to respond before a light resembling blue flames enveloped her body. The woman's entire body was trapped inside and within a split second afterwards the woman let out a great scream. The fire siphoned off his power, not letting him run and continue to gnaw like a carrion-eating maggot.
The tension seemed to mute anyone standing there. Blue Fireflowers kill, absorb and revive whatever it wishes. As with Ye Long's life, that power grew stronger as it received the Demon Queen's great power. The woman screamed a little desperately and then slammed her own body backwards. Making his body break from the entanglement of the Fire of Eternity, he collapsed shortly after still staring at Xin Chen in disbelief.
"Chen'er ..." Rumbled Ren Yuan's tears as he watched his son get back on his feet, somewhat staggering towards the Demon Queen. He was about to stop it before a sound stopped.
"Let you die, or bear death, I will not let you live in this world. Don't stop me from killing something that destroys the peace in this world."
The Fire Sword stuck in the belly of the Demon Queen who had lost a lot of her strength, the woman spewed out an enormous amount of blood. In addition to absorbing his strength, Xin Chen had actually returned the curse that he had previously given to the Demon Queen's body.
"Come in peace."
"No! I WON'T!" Back the shriek sounded shrill from the woman's mouth, she looked agonized. With all the loss and chaos in his heart. Straight from the view, the warriors in the place re-joined to form a line. They were facing the Demon Queen who had almost lost control of herself.
The woman continued to cry, scream and curse at everything on this earth. It was no exception for Xin Chen who had completely ruined his pleasure. What he said was true, he had suffered too much from his regrets and injuries in the past. There was nothing on his side but loneliness, and the woman, was a form of evil born of evil anyway. And they'll keep in touch if they don't stop immediately.
"I've never been in your position. There's nothing I can say. If you want to make up for all your mistakes, I think the people who try to protect you just want you to be happy. Even without their existence."
The Demon Queen was locked up, even though she knew the ferocious creature could create anything she wanted, Xin Chen had no intention of killing straight away. He could feel the suffering of the poor woman, and could not imagine that the one standing there was his mother.
"Please promise not to kill, unless it is to uphold justice. Not as revenge."
His feet were pounding in order to reach the Demon Queen, small rocks rattling as his feet treaded on the ground. He lost more than half of his spirit power. If now the Demon Queen attacked him again, it was likely that Xin Chen would die.
Yet in the midst of it another enemy came, a woman in black robes and a crow mask just appeared and pulled the body of the Demon Queen. It only took a few seconds for his hand to pull out a paper and paste the Controlling Spell inside the demon's body.
The Demon Queen raged about nothing, her screams echoing in all directions. Wild and savage looked on his pair of eyeballs engulfed in flames of anger. The Demon Queen rose again, with a power far greater than before.
"Chen, this time listen to what I'm saying. Don't interfere anymore, let me take care of it. As your father and also the Imperial Pillar in this land," he said firmly. Xin Fai paused his talk for a while before taking a breath and continued, "Please take care of your mother and Xin Zhan, even if you have to risk your lives."
Xin Chen could not accept, "It is precisely at this time that Father should be aware of whose life is more threatened!"
"Don't tell me to listen to you if you don't want to hear me!" Xin Chen again defied his orders. Xin Fai had always even wondered how to win the heart of this one child. He always hardened his head, much more stone than he had in childhood. And compared to all that, the now helpless Xin Chen felt even worse and vented his anger through words.
"From the beginning I told you, I'm going to kill him!"
"You've already defeated Han Wu, Han Zilong and Senior Qiang Jun and look at it now you're still not in flames. Then what else?! You want to continue challenging your death?!" This time Xin Fai's tone rose, "All you're doing right now is arrogance! Xin Chen, you don't even know anything. Or to prevent the cries of the little children who lost their fathers after the war?!"
Xin Fai did not even take a breath to say it was full of emotions, she needed to justify Xin Chen's thoughts but unfortunately their time was not much. If they were at home and relaxed then the first thing Xin Fai wanted to do in his son's mind was the actual science of fighting. It was not a way of killing ambition and throwing all his comrades away, hoping that no one would be hurt if he could bear it all alone.
Xin Chen was speechless with that snatch, only to realize all his deeds. He thirsts for power, in order to protect everyone. And it's true that all these are just his unstable thoughts, he still can't rely on himself.
"I'm sorry ...."
"Don't ever call me your father again if you don't hear me after this."
Those words were like a dagger piercing right in his heart. It doesn't bleed, but the pain isn't playful. Xin Chen raised his head, eager to speak but all of that was stuck in the esophagus.
Xin Chen knew very well that he would not be able to keep up with the Demon Queen, even more so the Dark Dragon at the same time. Xin Fai was right, he would die if determined. The Demon Queen is not a human, she has all the power that can solve the impossible. As is the eternal body of the spirit. And with that reason, Xin Chen was so worried about his father.
Ren Yuan tried to hug his second son but only the wind could be touched. The woman's eyes glazed over, "Chen'er... What happened to your body? Why can't I hug you?" His breathing stopped in shock, Ren Yuan was certain that previously he could hug the body warmly. But now, even smelling her son's body odor can't anymore.
"Dad was right, I wanted too much strength to do what I took responsibility for. There is no right in it." Xin Chen smiled bitterly, recalling the words of the Lightning Fox. Only he can stop the chaos. But everything feels pseudo, even with the wishful thinking that victory is in their hands.
"Whatchu mean? Xin Chen, tell mom."
"I ..."
"Mom won't scold you."
"I did everything reckless, in order to face the Dark Dragon and its allies. Everything outside the estimation of the Lightning Fox, they had already prepared themselves first. That's it."
