Xin Chen looked at the man with a doubtful gaze, the one being stared at could only react with hesitation. He cleared his throat while removing the sword eye that had been eyeing his eyeballs.
"Look, I've been in this group long enough. Just so you know, we're this-"
"Four Surveillance Unit." Xin Chen cut his sentence, the man was slightly stunned. But it soon came to a realization and sabotaged to speak, "We have many resources and pets. Also-"
"I don't want that. Do you guys have any connections with your main branch in the Qing Empire?"
"E-uh?" The man's breathing stopped for a moment, his face turning pale. "For that one I know nothing."
"You said you've been here long enough, don't lie to me. I don't have much time."
Again the sword eyes were aimed at him, without hesitation and barely injuring his eyelids. He did not dare to move a bit. The man occasionally stole an upward glance, when he felt his opponent was off guard he immediately ran out and sought help.
"Here, you fools! This monster was about to kill me -" The sentence was decapitated when it realized someone was following it from behind, much faster. He stopped and prepared to counterattack Xin Chen. In a large place like this his eyesight was much better. The two weapons clashed against each other, Xin Chen brought the sword pressure down so that his opponent would inevitably hold back hard. The blow just made his opponent's hand numb, the veins in his hand throbbing painfully. But he still did not open his mouth.
"Ahhah I know, I know! You're not gonna kill me because I have the information, are you? And hey! Is that dragon your pet? I've heard of it ... Right, you're-"
"To make sure you will feel death many times, dare to try? Your life now depends on your mouth. I don't care about that information, your warehouse is far more than enough to search for information."
"You won't get anything in there! Hahahha do you think the people of the Qing Empire are that stupid, storing something precious in such a predictable place?"
Xin Chen snorted, his form disappearing and slowly returning as the old swordsman turned around and faced each other. "That means you're hiding it in a place that's hard to guess, then?"
He continued, "It seems like you are completely useless. All right, now it's your turn to meet the guard of hell."
"Hey, hey, hey! Think carefully, wait!" The mouth was still open as the man's head fell on the grassy ground. Blood splashed from the end of the neck that had been cut off. Xin Chen turned a glance towards Ye Long, the dragon seemed to be in danger. A pointed spear pierced through his wings.
Ye Long let out a ferocious scream, it made the humans retreat in fear unconsciously. His voice echoed great. His black eyes turned blue, the puncture wound on his wings burning with blue flames. The moment the flames disappeared the wounds that should have been there had disappeared without a trace.
The great wrath of the black dragon caused destruction to the humans, no one expected that a great fire surrounded them in all directions. There was nowhere to escape, the dozens of trapped warriors could barely resist the high temperatures suffocating their lungs. Ye Long easily finished them off, his eyes adorned with lightning fury changed when he found someone staring at him from a distance.
"Sirter!"
He hit the swordsman in front of him and stomped on the others without any guilt, some could still be alive and others died as a result of Ye Long's actions. The dragon approached Xin Chen.
"You left me with those anchovies?"
Xin Chen took out an arrow that had a blue flame at its tip, aiming at the living humans one by one until they fused with the ashes. One of the humans ran over and Xin Chen almost aimed his head, realizing that the person was not the enemy but the village man he had saved.
"You survived .." he said stalled when he found a large enough demon next to Xin Chen. Perhaps twice as tall as an adult male, not to be there, which surprised him even more was the form of a demon that resembled a dragon that only he knew through fairy tales and carvings in the temple.
"For what ... Black dragon ...?" those dull eyeballs changed direction looking at Xin Chen, he could not believe his own conjecture. Perhaps what he had heard was word of mouth, but he was convinced that in the war seven years ago, it was told about a small black dragon who accompanied one of their hero children.
"There's no way I'm wrong, if it's true that he's the black dragon then you're ...."
"Forget about it. You've been held here for fifteen days, haven't you? That means more or less you know the ins and outs of this place. Where do they keep the scrolls and important books?"
"But ..." The man took a breath to calm down, "My master, this way."
As they went through the steep incline, the shot of the arrows shot out profusely and nearly pierced through Ye Long's head. Xin Chen caught him empty-handed, scanning from a distance where the attack had come from. Unfortunately, the enemy is too shrewd in hiding. Or there was only one other possibility, that person was aiming from a very, very far distance.
Looking at the longer and more flexible size of the arrows, Xin Chen believes the bow is used for long-range shots. He urged them to continue their journey until they arrived at a small road. The high ground around the road leads up the narrow road.
Ye Long sensed the presence faintly and growled, seeing Xin Chen also knowing him.
"Stop in place!"
All of a sudden from the direction of the front and back they had been covered by a group of warriors who were quite different from before, some of them had strange bodies. Some even have hands resembling wolf claws. Xin Chen raised his head at a time when the high ground on both sides of the road had been filled with other warriors.
They were surrounded from four sides at once, the villagers were shivering on the spot. All those people were aiming arrows at them. There is no chance of survival this time. But in the heart of the man, he was eager to protect the person who saved his life earlier.
"I swear I won't let you die for nothing here."
His eyes stared intently at the warriors around them, waiting for only one commandment of their lives to be finished.
"We warn you! Should you give up quickly or your lives run out now?!" snapped loudly.
"Try doing it right now. Maybe you can turn around?" challenge Xin Chen. The man next to her was lashing out loudly. "Master, don't joke!"
"All right! That's what you want!" he shouted in high notes. "Kill them!"
