Ch. 179 - Two Worlds
Lang only hoped that this time Xin Fai would be able to complete his task properly, which was to guard the Empire that was being faced with a heavy mess.
The Fire Flower is the epitome of cruelty, the killer of sinners. Not only did that breakthrough lead the Dragon into the spell vortex, Xin Fai disappeared for a split second before finally returning to battle with the Dark Dragon.
"Faster still, I already have no time to resist this spell!" Lang spat out a thick blood from his fang-toothed mouth, The Fire Spell that Qiang Jun had taught him was quite a difficult move, even with the amount of strength it required. Lang could die before his human friend could herd the Dark Dragon into a maelstrom of spells.
The Fire Spell was fading, Lang thought he was being too rash. But setting up the Fire Spell took time, he was forced to rely on Xin Fai before the fire spell was gone to trap the Dark Dragon.
The Hell Fire Chain darkened the Dark Dragon's body, Xin Fai forcefully pulled it until the Dark Dragon was dragged several meters away.
"Death in Hell, Ugly Dragon!"
The Dark Dragon rebelled, that power was greater in significant time. Until finally each chain feels like melting the skin. The Dark Dragon had almost run out of power, inevitably his body was right on top of the spell, barely thin before Lang collapsed on the ground.
The surrounding warriors were stunned, the enormous size of the Dark Dragon's body suddenly disappeared. Only a bright red light glimmered beautifully at the place where Xin Fai stood. The man sat cross-legged, this was the final determination. Before closing his eyes he spoke to the eighth Imperial Pillar.
"You and the others, take the masked raven and destroy him immediately. Without exception, don't let him off. I won't let him live even a breath."
"Good!"
Dozens of people moved compactly and spread all over Renwu City. There were only two people left standing guard around Xin Fai.
"Somehow I feel like this isn't going to end ...." One of the men standing to the left of Xin Fai was cursed low, barely hearing what he was worried about.
While Shui and the Lightning Fox had returned to their original forms, the fox itself had exhausted nearly ninety percent of its strength, the amount that crossed its approximate limit made the Lightning Fox aware. They are far from ready to face this.
But what to do, the disaster came earlier than expected. Had Xin Chen been ten years older to deal with all of this, the Lightning Fox would not have doubted victory would have been in their hands.
The fox was running out of power, but at least with this all would definitely be fine. He was sure Xin Fai would not let the Dark Dragon defeat him. The only problem was that crow masked man, but considering the spirit he summoned but Han Wu and Han Zilong were the two strongest humans, he must have lost a lot of strength to summon them.
"I have to go back to the sea" Shui regretted, he felt guilty if he had to leave early. But what power, he is a Water Dragon. The place is in the water. Linger on the land makes his skin dry sunburned. The dragon turned its head as the same battered Thunder Fox interrupted.
"Don't want to hang around first?"
"Currently, if I could stay on the mainland longer I might have prepared a ceremony to burn you, Old Fox."
"If you dare." After saying so, the Lightning Fox chuckled at his own words. Shui clucked.
"You're gonna stay here, Fox?"
"I don't care anymore if suddenly that human catches me, the world is dying, Shui. I'll stay here for a while."
Shui nodded, but the Lightning Fox actually still continued to speak. "It looks like the injuries the Fire Salamender gave off are getting worse."
Although it had tried to cover up in the end the Lightning Fox was still aware of it, the fox was meticulous. Only she knew of Shui's past, as great wars shook the world in the past. It was the war against the Fire Salamender that made Shui punish himself by locking himself up for millions of years, reluctant to get out of there unless the descendants of the Xin clan came to him.
"Maybe right now I look weaker than you, someday, maybe I'll apologize to that Salamender."
A little laugh, the Lightning Fox replied. "Just think of a way that you can hold a burning ceremony for me. Go away, no one wants to keep you here."
Shui screeched in annoyance, the Lightning Fox is indeed the most reliable in mocking.
"You're this" Shui snorted, "Here you go, if anything else happens don't you call my name."
The Lightning Fox just stared at the shadow of Shui's body that was getting further and further into the high seas, until finally the Water Dragon disappeared. The situation in Renwu city that was previously very chaotic was slowly silent. Some help came to the rescue of the wounded inhabitants, occasionally the humans were amazed to see the small form of the Thunder Fox.
'Seriously, where is the boy?' Only that was swirling around in the Fox's head, Xin Chen disappeared like he was engulfed in the earth, knowing this better the Fox kept well his robe.
The evacuation lasted quite a long time because many bodies of victims were buried in ruins, while being preoccupied with the work of a very loud scream as if tore through the sky. Lan An ran over from a distance while calling out Xin Fai's name.
Xin Fai opened one of her eyes, sweat drenching her temples. Obviously the fight in his subconscious was very fierce, his breathing was very, very calm.
"Xia'er isn't in port!"
A shocked look on Xin Fai's face, if only now he was free to move maybe the first thing he did was hit Lan An's face.
"Find him ...." Those short words implied deep anxiety.
"Or never think of her as your wife."
Lan An did not reply to anything, but instead switched the conversation. "We found an underground base not far from here, most likely it's where the enemy planned everything. It's just ...."
He did not continue his words, knowing the information only added to the burden of Xin Fai's mind.
"Nobody there? That means they're done with something."
Lan An was not surprised anymore, Xin Fai was the most reliable in assessing the situation. His every decision as an Imperial Pillar always kept the peace in this Shang Empire.
"Please summon the people from the Lotus Temple."
Although a little confused Lan An remained following his orders, he called his subordinates to relay the orders. By relying on stealth birds should the information be fast to arrive, at least in the next three hours.
"Oh-ho! Looks like these heroes got rid of my dolls?"
The voice seemed to make Xin Fai alert involuntarily, it was the same voice as the crow masked man. Such a dangerous man, he had created the greatest chaos, if Xin Fai had no way of getting rid of the Dark Dragon from Renwu City, then, he was sure that after that one Shang Empire would be spoiled by them.
"God ... It seems like I see a frightened face on your face, this interesting fight can't stop here. Ha-ha-ha!"
Lan An did not waste her chance, she unleashed consecutive brutal attacks on the man's temple. Unfortunately, the crow masked man disappeared in another dimension.
The only chance of annihilating the man was only now, but Lan An regretted why his enemy's body was completely unable to touch. If only this opponent was a little more stupid, Lan An make sure his body was already scattered on the ground.
"You want my wife, motherfucker?!"

"Give him back or-"
"Of course, I'll return it ...." He turned his body to Xin Fai, "if you will promise me to take the sword from your friend."
"You crazy?! You think I'm that low?!"
"Hm? Sure you don't want my best offer? Your friend is currently in two worlds. He was in the weakest defence. If you do, you'll get this woman back, and so will you!" He was getting excited to tell, Lan An looked at him with a cursing look.
"You will be the ruler of this world, I will support you from behind. Surely with all my great tactics, interesting no? Must be interesting, right? Don't be a hypocrite, you'll want it, hahahaha!"
"Of course I'm interested." Lan An said so, making Xin Fai freeze and the masked man stop laughing at her.
