The Demon Swordsman 2

The Demon Swordsman 2
Ch. 176 - The Unmanifest Fire

"I want the jewel of the Ice Dragon."

"What did you say?" Xin Fai slightly snapped. "You want as much power as you want?!"

"I never wanted anything from strength-"

"Don't want it, huh? Then if you don't want to, you can just leave this matter to me. There is no need to force yourself if this is too much for you. That's all, I've given you a chance twice. I never said I was disappointed in you, or anything that forced you to be stronger than anyone." Xin Fai said at length, he could no longer allow his son to act as he pleased. That's enough for him.

"But the father said I should protect you, when the time comes!" Breath choked. "I ran this far, risking my life. I've died hundreds of times to get here and only now do you say that?!"

"Strength will only make you greedy. There's nothing I need to explain anymore. At least follow my request, not as your father but as the Imperial Pillar. Objected?" xin Fai's tone sounded cold. Just this time he did not stare at Xin Chen's face while he was talking.

Qiang Jun who had managed to kill the Fire Snake that made the fire vortex around him had disappeared. Freeing Qiang Jun back, the man would attack in a split second.

"alright. If it wants dad. I won't interfere in your business or anything else. As the Pillar of the Empire this is indeed your responsibility. And I'm sorry I can only put shame on you. Maybe I'll go home to see Mom. And from this second on, as I said earlier I will release the clan-name"

"Shut your mouth, Chen!"

The voice sounded thunderous, Xin Chen completely silenced his mouth involuntarily. His heart is pounding. This pressure was far beyond the threshold, never had he felt this much anger from his father.

Despite the fear Xin Chen still answered him, "The men will not retract his words. I've said it, there's no way I can deny it."

"Sit right there. And never say those words again."

Xin Chen sat down cross-legged, trying to pay close attention to the fight in front of him.

But if he noticed once again, his father's fight barely even counts. He moved according to his instincts, making each movement very difficult to guess. Just like Qiang Jun, that was what brought them into balance.

He created a black flute that was created from changing spirit forms, playing the tone of the Death Rhythm very smoothly. Unlike the first time he played, the tone this time was just like an intangible fire. It silently burned one's soul, gnawing at one's consciousness and numbing the opponent in mind.

Although not affected by the impact of the Death Rhythm because Xin Chen was in control of it, Xin Fai knew very well that the Death Rhythm was one of the ancient styles feared in his time. Qiang Jun's footsteps faltered, on the other hand the natural energy Xin Chen had drawn had already exceeded half of it. And it will continue to grow as time goes on. Xin Chen wouldn't stay silent even if his father told him to shut up.

Qiang Jun surrounded Xin Fai by trapping him in a high-speed stance, a trap created from the wind of Qiang Jun's sword slash was extremely dangerous. Slightly moving the skin not only to tear, it will even be cut directly from the body.

Once again Xin Chen thwarted his attack, barely a split second the sword in Qiang Jun's hand would hit his opponent's head inside the whirlwind. Xin Chen used the ability of the Blood Ghost Mask, eliminating his target form for a split second before. Xin Fai was not surprised anymore and instead replied to Qiang Jun.

The pull of the sword from below cut off Qiang Jun's hand, in a tense situation unexpectedly Qiang Jun miscalculated. With blood pouring out of the body, Qiang Jun tried to recover it but when he realized that the natural forces around him had been transferred to Xin Chen's body. Meanwhile, he had continued to use high-level techniques that drained most of his inner strength.

Qiang Jun's eyes were first fixed on Xin Chen who was sitting still while closing his eyes, with the remnants of his strength he lunged towards Xin Chen.

Xin Fai did not expect that at times like this Qiang Jun had attacked his son. He tried to get rid of it, but it happened so quickly. Xin Chen couldn't hold back the man, his movements exceeding lightning speed.

His eyes closed peacefully, Xin Chen fused his fingers together forming a triangle. The spirits told him, someone came. The spirits are him.

In some of the books he read, light will be seen when the dark is around him. If in the book, the darkness was only a support for the light to shine brightly then Xin Chen wanted to be dark which obliterated the light from shining. Qiang Jun who now had to be killed.

"Finally you came to me." Xin Chen opened his eyes as Qiang Jun approached him.

"The tenth technique of the Book of Spirit Controllers - the Gate of the Goddess of Death."

Unexpectedly the force of nature that had previously stored Xin Chen out in that one sinister second, instantly a gigantic black shadow that was half the size of an Earth Ruler Demon covered the sky of the city.

The fused spirit power formed a pyramid that was ten hands around it. At the very top of the pyramid appeared a beautiful face like a goddess with long pliable eyelashes, her face was savage beyond the devil. Each of his fingers was adorned with long sharp nails. The hand extended and forced Qiang Jun into it.

Everyone who had seen the move was silent without exception, just like Xin Fai. He did not even expect his son to still keep one of these moves with a much greater level of strength. The natural energy that Xin Chen had drawn from Qiang Jun made him able to use that special technique. Xin Chen only gained his consciousness, while the spirit from the Book forced him to use that skill to kill Qiang Jun.

Because whatever Xin Chen's wish is the desire of those spirits. They are one.

The gate closed, Qiang Jun's body had been trapped inside. Suddenly the silence sounded deadly. Two minutes of walking without movement finally Xin Chen was able to control his body back. He looked closely at the big gate.

Elsewhere quite a number of swordsmen were amazed by the moves Xin Chen had put out, even few believed it was the second child of the Demon Sword considering whatever was rumored about it was bad things. While Xin Zhan could not possibly master the techniques from those black streams
