The rain fell so fast, the river flow overflowed high in the village to make the trees that grow on the mountains fall. The steep and slippery roads by moss are also watered by rainwater.
Xin Chen looked up, still a quarter of the way to get to the top. He lost himself, until he finally appeared above the high mountains. Looking at the vast high seas, below there were only a few houses built. Yuzhan's residence was far from where he stood and also, in the mountains were many dead trees struck by lightning.
Xin Chen investigated the entire place, unfortunately he did not feel any stealth or hint of the existence of the Lightning Fox. There was no trace of anything, yet the weather above him seemed to say that something was pulling him to this place.
Xin Chen looked up, letting the rain water wet his face. Wishing the Thunder Fox was there, but circling ten times he had gained nothing but an uninhabited arid place.
Disappointed, Xin Chen chose to sit on the edge of the cliff. Thinking it might just be his feelings. Lightning storms always reminded him of the Fox. At the end of each year, Renwu City is always greeted with weeks of rain. Xin Chen moved again, about to descend from the mountain.
The move moves to a point. In that place the grass did not grow, perhaps the former cooking place that is now filled with charcoal. Someone once stopped here. Xin Chen continued on until his gaze fell down, he stepped on a dull, broken robe and almost fused with the grass roots. It looked very old and almost destroyed on the ground.
Xin Chen grasped it, slightly shaking as he did not feel any strength there. It was the robe that the Lightning Fox had once bought, the day they both escaped from Renwu City and realized the same purpose why the two were brought together.
The Lightning Fox who wanted to save humanity, and her who wanted to protect everything.
Tear and tear on the shirt, although not very visible because it is almost formless but Xin Chen was sure the Lightning Fox had gone through a great fight before it reached this place.
And now he's found no trace of anything. The Lightning Fox seemed to end up here without any sign. Xin Chen observed the surroundings that were wet by the swiftness of the rainwater.
"What really happened to you?" his his hisses were drowned by the storm that hit the bamboo forests. Xin Chen descended from the mountain, storing the robe in thought. There is not a single conclusion he can draw. Thunder Foxes, the storm in this village and the robes that had been broken.
His footsteps brought Xin Chen to the edge of the sea, there was no one there other than the pelicans perched on the mast of the ship. The sea still connects this village with Renwu City. Honey, the distance traveled very far makes people reluctant to cross from this place.
"Are you looking for something in this place?"
A person's voice sounded from behind, sounding rather heavy. Xin Chen turned around, finding a 14-year-old little girl staring at him. Both of his hair were tied back and wearing clothes like a stealth hunter.
"I heard your conversation with my father earlier," he continued. Walking close to the edge of the sea that was churned by the storm.
"It's not here anymore exactly" Xin Chen said. Imagining the ship carrying the Lightning Fox as Shui said. Somehow it happened until the Lightning Fox was stranded here, seeing the humans to know its existence, possibly years ago its identity and hiding were revealed. Trying to find a new place, unfortunately something tried to attack him. That was all Xin Chen could conclude.
"He's been dead a long time."
As if frozen in place, Xin Chen did not move the slightest bit from his place. Not completely trusting but to be honest it made him anxious.
"I'm sorry to bother you before." The girl sat on the seafront, letting her lap be moistened by the small waves that touched the shoreline. "My name is Mo Yin'er. Grandson of the customary elder. Everything that happens here ... The disappearance of our inhabitants was due to a prophecy that actually took place in this Empire."
Mo Yin'er took a breath until both of her shoulders were lifted. "His tenth Demon Ruler of Earth was the beginning of human destruction, it all came down to the Dark Demon. There's only one person who can stop it but baby, that person is gone."
Mo Yin'er looked bitterly, "Then, this land will be the beginning of their destruction. A few years ago we had the arrival of a foreign fox so beautiful its fur. I didn't understand why grandfather had directly chased her away that day so the fox got angry and attacked our village. This storm was his form of anger. No one else dared to stay here after that incident. But I realized, grandfather just didn't want the fox to die by something that had been set. He knew far more that our guest, was the Thunder Fox who had lost all of its power."
Until there Mo Yin'er dismissed he said. A revolving look at Xin Chen who was now staring at the tides of the sea.
"So he's still safe."
"I don't dare say he's alive or not. She ... Even if it's dead, there's no harm in me telling you this." Mo Yin'er patted her clothes that were taped with sand.
"But I really hope for you. Rather than looking for that Lightning Fox, you better look for the whereabouts of the second Young Master Xin in Renwu City. No one dares to go there, maybe you can. Our elders still believe that the man is still alive. That prophecy is the last prophecy, I don't care if it's true. But," he said stuck.
"Even the fox knows nothing can stop the dragon but him."
Before Mo Yin'er left, Xin Chen held back by blocking her path.
"Tell me where did the Thunder Fox go?"
"Nothing I know, sir. I say this so that your search is not in vain. Find a point from the source of this prophecy, if your life is so much more useful than chasing after a fox who refuses to appear."
"I asked the Lightning Fox, nothing else."
Mo Yin'er regretted why she told him earlier. Intentions sent the young man to Renwu City, instead he only added problems to his grandfather.
"I won't say it, unless you bring second Young Master Xin here. Dare to bet?"
The girl folded both hands in front of her chest, as if guessing Xin Chen's next answer. He couldn't, going to Renwu City was the most terrible thing that no swordsman would want to accept.
"He's already here. Right in front of you right now."
