The expression on his wife's face put him at the threshold of his patience. Miles was eager to hit someone right in the face at this moment. What was wrong that Kirana had done that made everyone so angry at her? Why does happiness make others feel threatened?
What he could not accept, why did their failure become Kirana's fault instead? What's wrong with people who were once close to his wife? Do they not realize their own faults and so choose ruthlessly to vent everything to his wife? Just be right!
His female life is not easy. But he is not a bad person who will easily hurt the people closest to him, let alone destroy their lives. Because he understood the meaning of being hurt, therefore he did not want to hurt others. That's what made him not want to give up until he could win the heart of this woman.
He rejects her not because he wants to hurt her, but because he wants to protect Miles' reputation in front of a lot of people. He had seen for himself the consequences of his actions six years ago. Those who knew of their brief relationship that produced a child, sneered at them, looked down upon them, gone were the respectful gazes he had once received.
But he doesn't mind all that. One can say anything or do anything, but it will not hurt him. All of these are consequences that he is prepared to accept. And all that is nothing compared to having to part with half his soul again. He had no regrets about marrying Kirana with all their stained past.
So, that's what he felt differently about Dexter's attitude. He was acting strangely near Kirana because he had a problem with his wife. Butwhy? Did he think about regret or anything else when he saw Kirana again? The man knew that Kirana already had, did it then make the woman look more attractive?
The man had no other choice. All he could do was settle his affairs with his own wife and get away from Kirana. No one can take his Kiran from him. His wife is only his.
Markus picked them up at the airport. Miles held William who had slept soundly in his lap. Kirana sat by his side and was still silent ever since they arrived. Two hours later, they arrived home safely. Wanda greeted them with a warm greeting and a smile. The other housekeeper helped him carry their suitcases upstairs.
After laying William on the bed, Miles changed his clothes, covered his body with a blanket, and kissed him on the forehead. When she entered their room, Kirana was sitting on the edge of the bed. Busy with his own mind. Miles sat by his side. The woman then rests her head on Miles' shoulder. To calm him down, Miles let him be so for a few minutes.
“You need to shower, sweetheart.” said Miles gently. Although he was very happy when they went to sleep, they both needed to take a bath. They visited a dusty cemetery this morning. Moreover, they were sweating during a fight with Dexter's wife this afternoon.
“Bow me.” whispered Kirana. Miles.
Since they were both too tired to move, they only took a short shower. Then quickly dry their bodies using a clean towel. Kirana again sat on the edge of the bed after they put on their own sleeping clothes.
When Miles put out the lights and closed the clothes room door, he still found Kirana in the same position. He knelt in front of his wife. The woman did not make any moves. As his damp hair covered his face, Miles wiped it behind his ears. There were no tears on the faces of her cheeks. But Kirana looked at him sadly. Miles rubbed his thighs full of affection.
His wife's little hand slowly raised and touched her face. Then she raised her right hand to touch her forehead, eyebrows, eyes, nose, and lips with her fingers. Miles tried not to move as he traced his face. As Kirana put her hands together again on her cheeks, Miles closed his eyes and leaned on her left hand. If only he could, he would have thrown away his wife's suffering.
“I'm very happy. Because every time we have a problem, it's not you who's hurting me. When I feel sad or disappointed, it is not you who caused it.” Kirana slowly lowered her head and kissed Miles' lips. Her husband smiled proudly between their lips. “Do not worry. We're doing just fine. What no one else knows cannot hurt us. Yes ‘kan?”
“Iya.” Miles scowls. Kirana kissed him again.
“And remember, you are not fighting alone anymore.” Miles said seriously. Kirana nodded obediently. Tears welled up in her eyes.
“I love you so much.” Kirana said with emotion.
“Hm. How about you show me how much you love me?” goda Miles was joking. Kirana laughed out loud. She hit her husband's arm.
“Can I eat first? I'm hungry.” Kirana touched her stomach.
For the woman he loved, he was willing to do anything. As long as he could see a happy smile on his face. After the tragedies and problems she faced in life, she deserves to be happy. Since he was willing to go through everything just for the sake of being able to be with the woman, he would not hurt her intentionally. He has repeatedly proven his love for Kirana, he will not disappoint her. No more tears. She will try as hard as possible to fulfill her wedding vows.
“Wanda must have served food in the dining room.” Miles had already asked him to do that as he greeted them at the door. He stood up and pulled Kirana to his feet as well.
“He knows I'm hungry?” tanyanya surprised. Miles laughed a little.
“I know you're hungry. If you don't ask for it, I plan on forcing you to eat.” Miles joked. Kirana hugged him. Miles smiled as he stroked his wife's back.
“I'm very happy. Finally, I'm already home.” Kirana tightened her embrace, as if not wanting to let go. Miles welcomed the pain of the hug.
Miles kissed his ear. Yes, he's home. Home is a place where we are loved as we are, accepted lovingly despite our weaknesses, and forgiven for making mistakes. If he is home to his wife, then his wife is his hiding place.
“Not just you. We're both home. I love you, Juliett.” Miles whispered. Kirana swung her head back and laughed loudly. Because his laughter was contagious, Miles laughed. This is what he wanted his wife to do. Laughing everything. No more tears, sadness, or suffering.
“Amaz, I still can't believe how brave I was at our first meeting.” Kirana tried to stop her laughter.
“I miss your courage.” I'm Miles honestly. Kirana smiled.
“I love you too, Romeo.” As he tiptoes and kisses her again affectionately, Miles loses his mind. Then Kirana deliberately pulls her husband with her to lie on the bed, Miles loses control. Food can wait. His burning passion for his wife could not wait anymore.
