The Unforgettable Story

The Unforgettable Story
Section 38

The big, fat, and half-bald man sat behind a desk in the middle of the office. He smiled broadly as Kirana approached him. Kirana likes him because he is a good and pleasant boss. It makes him believe that it is not good to judge people only from their physical appearance.

“Kirana, please sit.” said the man kindly to him.

“I didn't know we had any important business today, sir. Isn't our managerial meeting just going to be held next Monday?” ask Kirana wonder.

“It's not about work.” He held out an envelope to her. “I hope you don't mind a little overtime tonight to pack-up.” The man smiled meaningfully. Kirana frowned as she opened the envelope and took out the contents.

“Aircraft tickets to Mataram?” Kirana rounded her eyes.

“Iya. Thank you for your good work this year. As always, the hotel and accommodation are in order. Tour packages have also been booked.” the man explained. Kirana's surprised face changed.

“Where will I stay, sir? Mataram's? Senggigi?” askanya hopefully worried.

“You have to wait tomorrow to find out. That's a surprise.” The man blinked one eye. Kirana smiled happily.

“Thank you very much, Mr.” he said moved. Despite twice getting a free vacation package from her company, Kirana never expected that she would continue to be so lucky. He worked well because this company had helped him rise from the slump. He never expected anything in return other than getting his rights as an employee, that is his monthly salary.

“No. I'm the one who's grateful. Our branch office sales are highest than other branch offices. Head office is very satisfied. Thanks to you.” The man smiled as hard as he could.

“Does that mean I can invite friends to fieldtrip next weekend?” ask Kirana expectantly.

In the last two months, he has drained the energy and mind of his colleagues in the marketing department. They deserve one day of vacation along with a walk in the entertainment venue. One form of appreciation for their hard work. He had already applied for fieldtrip earlier this week but had yet to get a response.

“Of course. Give me the proposal, I'll sign it.” Simon said quickly. Kirana's face was getting brighter.

“Thank you very much, Sir.” Kirana extended her hand. Laughing loudly, his superior received a helping hand.

“Happy holiday.” he said in the middle of his laughter.

“I hope this time I will not find Father and family in the room next to me.” Kirana said half-jokingly.

Last year when he went to Sabang, he was surprised to find that his boss was also on vacation with his family there. Most surprisingly, they stayed in the same hotel, in the room right next to her room. Of course he doesn't mind. But he doesn't like surprises.

“No. Not this year.” The man was still laughing out loud.

At exactly twelve in the afternoon, Kirana stopped her work. He grabbed his bag and his bag and walked out of his room. On the ground floor, he rushed towards the main entrance. He smiled as the on-duty security officer smiled at him. As soon as he came out of the door, there was a horn. A car stopped nearby. Kirana.

“Ng, I can't. I,” Kirana had trouble finding the right word to reject the invitation.

“We know where you're going.” The man came out and opened the middle door for her. “We are one way. Come, Ma. From Mom crammed in bus.”

“You guys are stubborn.” Kirana got in the car. The man just laughed. “Thank you.”

They talked about their marketing plans for the weekend. Kirana praised and gave input where necessary. Twenty minutes later, they arrived in front of his son's school building. Kirana came out and thanked the two subordinates.

William immediately ran over to him. Kirana asks him to take her bag so they can leave immediately. While waiting, he told his son's teacher that he would not be attending school tomorrow and about their planned departure. The young lady smiled at him and said happy enjoying the weekend. Kirana said the same thing. William came back with his bag. They told his teacher and rushed to the bus stop.

Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the daycare not far from Kirana's office. They had lunch together. Cheerfully, his son told him about their lessons at school that day. Ten minutes later, she kissed her son and took a break. The distance between the daycare with his office can be reached on foot.

At exactly one o'clock in the afternoon, he had already reached the floor where his room was. His subordinates were already queuing up to show their respective reports. Kirana smiled and invited them all to enter her room. He asked his assistant to prepare a drink. By five o'clock in the afternoon, the work was done. His assistant said goodbye and he came out of his room.

After picking up William, they went home together. Kirana tells about their plan to go on vacation the next day. His son cheered happily. He helped his mother pack their clothes. One medium-sized suitcase is ready to be filled with their personal belongings. William's small backpack has also been stuffed with books, stuffed animals, and toys he chose to carry.

With William's book of choice, Kirana reads it until her son falls asleep. He fixed the location of his son's blanket, set the room temperature, turned off the room lights, and left the door slightly open. He slept in the room next to his son's. Without closing the door of his room, he lay on the bed. And her tears fell as no hands wrapped around her body. There was no chest area that warmed his back. He misses his Romeo.

The next day, they arrived at the airport an hour before departure. Kirana sat William on the trolley so he could walk faster. The queue had been quiet, he rushed towards the check-in counter. After getting the boarding pass, he let out a sigh of relief. Without her suitcase, she would have been easier to walk around holding her son's hand.

“We are almost late because you woke up late, Mom.” accuses William.

“If you did not spend so much time for breakfast, we have arrived here thirty minutes ago.” reply Kirana did not want to lose. They walked, almost ran, towards the escalator.

“I want high like my friends. I have a lot to eat.” protest William. Kirana rolled her eyeballs.

“You only increase production, not increase height.” error Kirana.

“I have to go to the toilet, Mom.” William said as they passed the toilet.

“Let's after we're near the waiting room.” reject Kirana quickly. There is also a toilet they can use.

“Ngga hold it again, Mom.” William pulled his mother's hand. Kirana growled softly and was forced to obey her wishes.

They went into the ladies' room. No one is waiting inside. Kirana picked the nearest room. He closed the door and locked it. William's waistband was removed, as were his buttons and his pants, and he let him use the bathroom. When she finished, Kirana tidied up her son's pants and clothes. Once again, they rushed towards the passenger lounge.
