The Unforgettable Story

The Unforgettable Story
Section 30

With a firm step and raising her head confidently, Kirana walked out of her superior's study. Nothing could make him bow his head. The money is not his, nor is it his own. He did not lose just because the evidence was found inside his drawer. As much as possible he will defend himself by using the best lawyer.

He saw his superior secretary looking at him sadly. Kirana smiled. He extended his hand to the kind woman. “I know you are innocent, Kirana.” said Aprilia full of sympathy. “If there is anything I can help you with, anything, do not hesitate to come to me.”

“Thank you for trusting me.” Kirana squeezed her hand before releasing it. “And I will collect your promise just now because I will definitely need your help.” The woman smiled then the two of them laughed together.

He was standing waiting in front of the elevator when one by one people came and stood nearby. Kirana did not need to raise her head to know that they were looking at her sympathetically. Things he doesn't need right now. Her tears almost forced out of her eye.

“Wah! The thief is here. What are you doing on this floor? Trying to steal money again?” A familiar voice in Kirana's ears. He just ignored it.

“What's up? Cute tongue? You have no refutation or comment on the findings?” caraka Ejek. Kirana raised both eyebrows.

“Only a fool believes that I stole the money.” he said without looking at Caraka.

“You mean, our director is a fool?” challenge the man. Kirana knew she was doing that on purpose so she would get angry and insult their boss in front of everyone.

“Depending on how convincing a witness says he saw someone's actions and suddenly knows exactly where the evidence is stored.” Kirana said without further ado.

“If the witness is lying, of course he cannot convince anyone of the evil deeds he witnessed himself.” Caraka retorted.

Kirana smiled and turned to look at the man. He saw that five people were standing by and the man was arguing. They looked towards him, waiting for his next response.

“You know why I told you that believing that I stole money was a fool? First, the drawer was never locked. I keep the keys in my house because I don't need them. Do you think I'm an idiot who keeps stolen money in an unlocked place?”

“Three, I was on vacation for three days abroad. Do you think I'm so stupid to leave that money and not use it to shop there? I'm a girl, Caraka. I would definitely spend that kind of money buying real expensive clothes, bags, shoes, or jewelry instead of fakes. Such an opportunity will not be wasted. Singapore is a shopping paradise. There are many famous boutiques there.”

The five officers surrounding them nodded their heads. Caraka's face turned deathly pale. Maybe he hadn't considered those three things before. Kirana was happy to know that she had the upper hand. The man did not yet know who he had chosen as the opponent. He would regret his actions because his evil intentions were too easy to break.

“If the witness thinks he's got me thrown out of this company, he's wrong. I'm gonna fight back. I'm not guilty. And if I get fired, I'm gonna make a lot of money as a severance. The money was enough to finance the best lawyer to defend me at the trial later. That too if this company is smart enough to sue me.” Kirana raised her chin, challenging the man to reply to her words.

The elevator sign has arrived. Kirana straightened her body. Some people got out of the elevator. They stared in wonder at Kirana and the people surrounding her. He just smiled. Then Kirana got into the elevator and pressed the number of floors where her office was. Only five officers entered the elevator. He did not see Caraka among them but he did not care.

As soon as work hours ended, Kirana tidied up her desk. He wanted to go out to shop for daily necessities because the contents of his refrigerator were empty. Hearing the sound of shaking on his desk, he turned to his phone. Her tears fell reading the incoming message. The bank tells us there is money coming in for twelve months of salary in its account. He fired.

His intention to get home on time and go to the supermarket had to be put off. His boss firmly said that he did not need to come again tomorrow to work. He sat for a moment in his chair and looked around his room. It was not easy for him to be able to sit in his position right now. He worked hard so he could lead the marketing division. Rivals are not few, they are also no less creative. But he had to settle for being in this room only up to this day.

His personal items were not many, so he only needed a box to put everything into it. Her picture frame is with her parents, her desk clock, her writing equipment, a flower pot, a gift mug from her assistant, a unique tissue box from one of her subordinates, two pairs of work clothes for emergencies, and a, his work agenda was in previous years, and several books on marketing.

With a heavy heart, Kirana opened the door of her room. His eyes were round seeing his co-workers standing before him. Someone must have told them about his dismissal. Darling, he was only told in a message from his bank. How tragic. Twelve years of working wholeheartedly and devotedly, had to end because the accusations were actually easy to fight.

One of them hugged him and said goodbye. They promised to support him in court if the company sued him. They also promised to testify about his honesty and hard work in the company. Kirana thank you. Their support was in dire need of him, especially now, where only they were by his side.

He has lost his job too. Will anything else follow as the next punishment? He doesn't have anything left. No parents, no Ratri, no girlfriend, let alone husband, no friend, no job. The co-workers he originally thought would be his only hope, should he leave behind.

Romeo, you really are single ‘kan? You really aren't married ‘kan? No wife is protecting you with her prayers and punishing me with the same? If you're still alone, why doesn't the punishment end?
