Hate You, Love You

Hate You, Love You

"Already ! I'm not the kid you always have to remind me of, Gio !" Amara replied that she was not as friendly when she had her parents.

Again Gio sighed deeply. Since marrying Amara, Gio has often done just that. Sighed deeply and swallowed his wife's words. Without asking much more, Gio turned on his car engine and moved out of the yard of Amara's house. He waved his hand to the two Amara parents who were still standing on the porch of the house, letting go of them.

Amara waved her hand with a smile. He did it so that his mother's father wouldn't worry about him. Though Amara is feeling a very great inner upheaval at this time. His chest was pounding, and his body began to be flooded with cold sweat as anxiety as well as fear began to engulf. He will return to that cursed house.

Amara turned her gaze out the window of the car, trying to stay strong even though she was scared to death in her heart. Although the fateful incident had passed a long time ago, but in fact the bad memories of him were still imprinted in Amara's memory so clearly.

Fear, pain, anxiety and worthlessness, Amara can still feel to this day. Amara also remembered how her trembling and aching body endured the pain, trying to walk out of the house with great difficulty. Really coming back to the house made Amara very afraid.

"Are you okay ?" Tanya Gio who turned out to have been watching Amara. Though his wife was so tight with him, but Gio could not help but look at her.

"Hemmm," Amara muttered softly. Not answering her husband's question.

"You look pale, you're sick ?" Gio asked, occasionally turning his head to his wife. Though Gio knew that Amara would answer sharply and furiously, but still he asked.

"Can't there be a lot of it ? just drive !" amara answered sharply, exactly as Gio had expected.

"I know you hate me so much, Amara. But, you can't prevent me from worrying about you. So just answer the question so I don't ask you again,"

Amara shifted her gaze, looking at Gio with a sharp and cold eye. "You want to know why I don't look okay ? You sure you want to know, Gio ?" Amara asked with a high voice.

Gio nodded his head without looking at his wife who was overwhelmed with emotions.

"I'm so scared to go back to your house ! I can still feel how my whole body trembles as I run away from you, Gio !" Answer Amara. Then he turned his face the other way. His shoulders rise and fall, a sign of his hunting breath and shortness.

Gio gripped the steering wheel tightly, until it whitened his handbooks. Amara's words pierced right into her heart.

"If I could turn back time, I wouldn't have done that to you, Amara. I've told you a thousand times that I'm very sorry, " Gio said chimed in. But Amara just kept quiet and did not respond. He was busy drying his wet cheeks with the back of his hand.

After that the atmosphere became quiet and silent. The two did not speak to each other again until they finally arrived at the Gio family residence a few tens of minutes later.

"We have arrived" said Gio, breaking the silence. He stopped his car in his spacious yard.

Amara's face stiffened and Gio could see it very clearly. "Everything will be fine, you don't worry" Gio said as he reached out to caress Amara's long hair. He wanted to calm his wife. But the movement of his hands stopped right near Amara's hair. Gio realized he couldn't do it all.

With a chaotic feeling, Gio pulled his hand back. "Let's get down. Looks like Mama's been waiting for us" continued Gio. He said that because he saw his mother sitting on the porch of the house, accompanied by his household assistant.

Amara took a deep breath before she got off Gio's car. Calms himself, who continues to tremble. Even his stomach feels turbulent because of the nervousness that is not also gone.

Gio's mother stood up when she saw the child and his daughter-in-law coming. He walked down several steps, welcoming the two. "Mama is afraid you won't come" he said with a smile. Gio kissed his mother's cheeks as a greeting. "It's great to see you in good health, Gio," he said gratefully.

Amara smiled awkwardly, she looked stiff and misplaced. But Gio's mother melted the mood by hugging him tightly and kissing Amara's cheek as she did to her son Gio.

"You're healthy too, Amara ? What about your pregnancy ?" Ask him kindly.

"Alhamdulillah is healthy, mmh...,"

"The village is healthy too, Ma. Two days ago we just had a checkup. The baby grows perfect and strong. Mama's gonna get a grandson." Gio cut off Amara's stammering speech.

Mother Gio's eyes sparkled happily upon hearing that. "justified ? Mama was happy to hear it. Come on in ! You must be hungry. Let Bik Marni keep your bags in the upstairs room,"

"We're using the guest room, Ma. The room is downstairs near the fish pond," cut Gio quickly. Made Amara look at him with question marks.

"Doctor said, Amara should not be tired, Ma," replied Gio and it made Amara look at him more and more with question marks. As far as Amara was concerned, the doctor who examined her did not say that at all.

"Ooh okay... Bi, please clean the guest room. Gio and Amara will sleep there,"

"Good Mom," the housekeeper nodded obediently and immediately went towards the intended room to clean it up.

Gio's mother embraces Amara's shoulders, "patience yes, Amara. Pregnancy is like that sometimes. Mama still feels nausea until nine months pregnant Gio. May you be strong yes" he said calmly.

Amara just nodded her head. Even though the content is fine there are no obstacles.

After chatting for a while, they enjoyed dinner together. Unfortunately Gio's father did not participate because there is a business that can not be left behind.

"So you guys decided to buy a house ?" Ask Gio's mother to be astonished. So did Amara who was like a dazed look at her husband.

Without talking about it before, Gio told his mother that he and Amara planned to buy a simple house located close to the campus. She did it so that Amara did not feel tired especially her pregnancy was getting bigger.

"Hu'um. We want to learn to live independently, too, Ma,"

"This house is also close to the Amara campus right ?"

"Yes, Ma. But early in the morning must be jammed in the area of the third that loh," replied Gio reasoned. Amara was silent because she did not understand.

"When Mama is very happy, you want to stay here" said Gio's mother. He could not hide his disappointment.

"We'll come more often, Ma. Or mama can also come to our house whenever Mama wants," said Gio as he grabbed his mother's hand in his grasp. Trying to raise her heart.

"Ah okay... Have you found his house ?"

"Not Ma, still look around," replied Gio.

"Mama will ask Om Johan to help you look for him, so that Amara is not tired," he said again while looking warmly at his daughter-in-law.

Amara has changed clothes. He sat on a chair while applying moisturizer to his face. Again he caught a wet Gio who was looking at him in the mirror.

Gio immediately shifted his gaze and pretended to put his phone on the nightstand.

"Jin...,"

"I told you, don't worry. I won't let you stay in a place that traumatizes you even more" Gio said quickly.

Amara turned her body and looked at Gio. "Thank you very much, Gio," said Amara sincerely. He smiled for the first time at Gio. The smile that came from his heart, not just pretending.

Gio's cheeks were hot just because Amara was smiling at him. He stood up wrong. "Well, you sleep. I will watch TV outside accompanying Mama," Gio said as he pocketed his phone back on the nightstand.

Amara nodded slowly and looked at the sturdy back of Gio who left her.

If only they had not united because of the painful thing and if Amara had not with Danis. Amara is convinced that she can fall for the kind and understanding Gio.
