The Bujang Lapuk

The Bujang Lapuk
Alif's Dad

"This is good, isn't it?" Za showed a picture of a mini cooper on his phone.

Fadhil gave a quick glance and turned to his wife.

"I-I want to buy using my savings, okay." Za hid his phone back.

"Your savings? Sure enough? It costs 1 M more, Deck. Where are your savings?"

"I knew. Enough of my savings from spending money the same money from the boarding children."

"Oh, so you've been deliberately saving money shopping because you want to buy a mini cooper? Why not say?"

"Open. I never intended to buy. Only now want it. I saw that the balance was enough. So the money is safe."

"Save your money. Just use our money.'

Since marriage, Fadhil has never admitted his money. Everything he's got is ours, him and Za.

"That's right, Mom. You just paid for this house, you know. Where else is the money?" sahut Za insisted.

"There's nothing for you."

Starting from the tweet Za last week now Za can go everywhere himself. An item that is always rejected when Fadhil wants to buy it. Because he doesn't feel the need. But suddenly he wanted it.

"Mami ngidamnya not half-hearted," comments from Safira when the car came. Because during pregnancy Za never wanted this that's weird.

The red car that Za was driving stopped in front of Alif's school. Fadhil's routine is now taken over by him.

Za breezed in looking for her son who was playing with his friends.

"Mama!" The little boy ran up to him while carrying a toy plane.

"Who's the toy, Al?" ask Za.

"Al Toy!"

Za frowning. He never allowed Alif to bring toys to school. Of the many toys Alif, Za knew it was not a toy that had ever been in the house. Especially looks new.

"Different from where? Papa bought it?" ask Za again.

"No. The loving father."

"Dad? Papa means?" Za did not understand Alif's response.

"No, Ma. Alif has Papa and Dad. I came to bring a toy for Al. Nice, right?"

Za got more and more dizzy with Alif's answer. He asked Alif to wait while playing with his friend. He went to the teacher's office to ask for information. Because at Alif school can not just anyone access the school building.

"Excuse me, Miss," said Za at the door.

"Yes. Please come in, Mama Al!"

Za walked into the teacher's office. Ask about the person who met Alif today.

"His name is Mr. Alex. Mr. Fadhil has given a message if Mr. Alex is allowed to meet with Alif at school. But not to be taken out of school" explained the female teacher.

"I never count. Maybe once a month or even twice."

Za doesn't know who Alex is. Even when the teacher explained his features Za was unable to guess. He also told Alif's teacher to go home.

The only person who can give an explanation is Fadhil. Za also took the road to the workshop. Because Fadhil must be there.

Father, only one person has the possibility of getting that designation. Of course Za's thoughts led to the man who had made Aira lose her life.

Za stopped his car in front of the workshop. Lined with other cars that may be waiting in line for repairs.

Before opening the door, he was already startled by someone coming out of Fadhil's room.

"Dad!"

Alif's call to the man now standing in front of her made Za surprised. A tall man with a face that bears a resemblance to Alif. Za froze in place. His chest rumbled to look at the face of the man who was now smiling then lowered his head holding Alif. His face and appearance did not show if he was a jerk. It was very neat and even she smiled kindly at Za.

Za breaks inside and makes Fadhil surprised instead of playing.

"Z-Za?!"

"So secretly you've been meeting them all this time?" za asked with her voice held back so as not to hear the person standing in front of the door.

"Sit down first. Let me explain."

"Is it because Mas is going to have his own child and then take Alif off?" point Za at cynically.

"It's not like that, Za."

"Sorry, Ma'am. Can I explain?"

Za turned to the source of the sound from the direction of the door. The man was still holding Alif. It was obvious the closeness of the two of them and it made Za unwilling.

"Al, play with Om Ben outside!" fadhil said that Alif would come down and play with one of his employees. Alif sagged and ran forward.

"I'm sorry if I was the trigger for Mas Fadhil and Mbak Za's dispute. But I will not take Alif at all. I only asked for a few hours out of 720 hours to meet Alif. I am quite aware of my mistakes. I have also prevented my Mama to no longer disturb the peace of Alif with you guys. Maybe it's punishment for me. I am a loser for not taking the step to fight for my love for Aira in front of Mama. But I don't want to be irresponsible. Alif was born sooner than expected and Aira did not tell me who was helping my papa work in Banjarmasin. And I came late."

"You said you didn't want to take responsibility? How do you think you are responsible for your actions? By waiting until Aira gives birth without telling her family? That all?" furious Za.

"No, Ma'am. I plan on marrying Aira after she gives birth."

"Slow!"

Alex nodded. His face looked very sorry. "yeah. It's all too late. That's why I'll make it up to you. I want to raise Alif. As a form of my responsibility. I beg the greatness of Ms. Za, to allow me to meet Alif. Once a month no more than two hours."

Za breathed a rough breath. He cursed himself who always had the heart if he had seen the face of the person who was compassionate to him. Even now Alex folds his legs and rests his knees on the floor.

Za took a few steps back. "It doesn't need to be like that!" he said with a little tinge.

"I'll do whatever it takes to get Ms. Za to let me meet with Alif."

Za again breathed a heavy breath. Then he came out of the room.
