The Bujang Lapuk

The Bujang Lapuk
New Residence

"Where are we going, Mom?" ask Za because Fadhil hasn't told them his purpose yet.

"Buy furniture. Or do we want to see the house first?"

"Home? Whose house?"

"The house we will live in" said Fadhil. A moment later, the car drove faster. Away from the city center through a concrete road. Za doesn't know where Fadhil will take her.

Up to 20 minutes later they reached the edge of the city and entered the residential area located in the hills. Fadhil stopped his car in front of a two-story house. Pretty good for the size of a house. It is clear that the dominant white paint color is still new.

"Whose house is this, Mas?" ask Za.

"This is Mas's friend's house. Still new buys were once occupied because he bought only for investment" replied Fadhil. Then he took Za down from the car to see the contents of the house.

The smell of paint still wafted from the front of the house. Fadhil opened the gate with the key he had brought.

The house is completely empty. There is no furniture at all. There are only a few buckets of paint that may not have been removed by the craftsman.

"You likey?" fadhil asked as they arrived on the second floor. And look at each room which is also only an empty room.

"Like it, Mas. But this is a people's house."

"We'll buy it."

"Well?!" Za flabbergasted. "Mas, buy the house is not a little money, loh. So, really, I said it."

Despite not asking, Za could guess if the price in the house was definitely above three digits. He does not want because his dislike of Lany's attitude makes Fadhil even burdened. For him, if Fadhil does not want to stay with his parents, contracting a house is okay. As long as he doesn't make Fadhil dizzy. Because in addition to supporting his own family, there is Sapphira whose needs are still borne by the husband. Za does not know how much money Fadhil. All this time he only used as necessary without ever checking the contents of Fadhil's account balance.

"I'm sorry if I'm so troublesome Mas," said Za lirih.

"Cok so sorry, anyway?" sahut Fadhil smiled faintly. He put his arm around Za's shoulder.

"So this way, the business of Mas friends is experiencing financial problems. He had trouble paying his employees. Then offer this house to us since a few days ago. But Mas can't decide before talking to you."

"But the house here is expensive, Mas. If you want to buy a house cheaper than this will be a lot."

"It's not just because of that, Dek. We buy this house as well as helping Mas friends who are in need of money. The price is still reasonable according to the market. He also did not ask for hard cash. We can pay gradually without interest."

Za speechless. The title will still be in debt. And Fadhil still has to bear the rest of the payment.

"If you do not agree to pay gradually, we pay cash. But our savings might just be a little bit left."

Our savings? Za didn't even contribute anything to the money in Fadhil's account. And her husband always called our savings. How sad Za was when she heard it.

"Where? If you're ok, I'll ask people to clean the house immediately. So that tomorrow can be occupied."

Fadhil decided to buy a house. Just because of her uncomfortable feelings because Lany forced her to stay with them.

Za sighed softly. "Whatever, Mom."

"Don't whatever, dong. They need your support."

Za was silent for a while. Before finally confirming Fadhil's words.

"But isn't it papa, Mom? Not contracted yet?" za said he was still not sure.

Just be careful. What else he can do. Refusing is useless. Buying a house has nothing to lose. The house they had lived in all this time did not belong entirely to Fadhil. They have to think about their own place. It is evident that there is a dispute going on. Although actually it can be prevented if Za would be happy to stay one roof with Lany. But Za didn't want to. Lany's behavior always causes problems. She also did not want her husband every day to be offered a scene that tempts the faith. However, Fadhil is an ordinary man who has lust.

Arriving at a home furnishings store, Za was given the flexibility to choose all the furniture according to his taste.

"Mas, we buy everything now?"

"Yes" answered Fadhil convincingly.

Za pointed at a king-size bed. Although in the house they will occupy there are three bedrooms, but they will only occupy one room. The rest will be filled out sometime.

All minimalist furniture has been selected by Za. But they have to wait for the house to be cleaned first before the items enter the house.

"Is this all you've got?" tanya Fadhil looked at the invoice he had just received.

"Yes that. Others followed. The urgent one first."

"OKs. Let it be taken care of all the same craftsmen. If you can't move tomorrow, the day after tomorrow isn't a problem, is it?"

Actually Za felt heavy to nod. But he tried to be patient waiting for the handyman to clean the house. Two days later, he will be teaching. Lany must have gone to the office, too. They will only meet briefly in the morning and evening as possible.

By late afternoon, they arrived home. Safira's car is seen in front of the house. Show that the owner has gone home. But the girl was more often locked in the room. Especially since her mother was at home.

Za ignored Lany who was in the middle room. The woman's belongings were still a mess inside the house. In front of the room next to Safira's.

"Dil!" call Lany when Fadhil passes.

"I need to talk to you."

Fadhil had to stop his steps. Waiting for Lany to speak without any intention of turning over. Lany's appearance can make Za jealous if Fadhil sees let alone sit next to his sister-in-law.

"I'm sorry about that" Lany said with a sorry face.

"I don't mind it." said Fadhil then he climbed the stairs leaving Lany who actually still wanted to talk more.

Inside the room, Za started packing their clothes. This time Fadhil did not prevent it because it was soon they would move.

"Lany said what?" asked Za who had heard Lany calling her husband.

"Nothing. Just apologize," replied Fadhil indifferently.

He picked up an even larger suitcase in one of the empty rooms used to store used items or items that were rarely used. And back she had to meet Lany because the room was downstairs.

"Where are you going, Dhil?"

"Moving." Fadhil's reply left Lany stunned for a moment.

"Must move? This house is less big for the four of us to occupy?"

"Since when have you had the right to rule our lives?"

Lany is again silenced by Fadhil's cynical answer.
