"So you reminded Fadhil to come, didn't you, Za?" tanya Fatma because the four-monthly event is finished but Fadhil never came.
Za nodded. This morning he reminded Fadhil. Za deliberately came early to help prepare for the event. But it turns out that he just sat down. Because the Fatma family has come to help.
"Is he busy?" ask Fatma again.
"Maybe."
Maybe busy with his ex-girlfriend, Za continued in her heart.
"Usually the workshop is closed in the afternoon, right? Why isn't he here yet?"
Za breathed a rough breath. Fatigued because he did not want to be exposed to Fadhil's problems. He shrugged his shoulders and Fatma was silent. He no longer asked Za.
Za picked up her bag and prepared to go home. Tired of waiting for Fadhil who might not come. He sat back on the sofa for a moment. I wonder where he will go home. It felt lazy to see Fadhil's face after what he knew earlier. Wanting to go home, she would definitely be asked questions by her mother. Why do nights come by themselves? Where's your husband? And another question that will definitely upset him even more.
"Sir, I go home first, yes," she said after a moment of silence.
"Aren't you waiting for Fadhil?"
"No need, Ma'am. I'll just take a taxi" Za replied.
"Send by Om Irsyad, huh?" cetus Fatma looked at the uninspired Za. He didn't know that Za had been pondering more.
"No need, Ma'am. I really don't go home by myself." Za refused subtly. It also brings up a smile even though it may look stiff.
"Yes. But this was brought in, huh?" Fatma took out a bag containing a food box from the dining table.
Za did not refuse. More precisely, refuse again. He picked up the bag and then immediately left.
"Where's the reaction, Za?" tanya Fatma looked at the front road of her house which was empty because she thought Za was hastily saying goodbye because her order taxi had arrived.
But up front, Za just pulled out her phone to order a taxi. Moments later a car stopped in front of them.
"Well, that's you getting picked up" Fatma said looking at Fadhil's car that had just stopped.
Za didn't say. She deliberately threw away her face when her husband had just come down and approached them.
"Sorry, Ma'am. I completely forgot there was an event" said Fadhil, full of regrets.
"Nothing," Fatma replied with a faint smile.
"This is Za coming home." Not repelling, but a silent attitude makes Fatma understand. If anything happens between them. Getting Fadhil in for a chat is not a good offer right now.
And here they are now. In Fadhil's car with a gripping atmosphere. No one wants to open a conversation.
Za stared out the window all the way. Little did she not hear her husband open her mouth.
When arriving at home, Safira's car has already entered the carport. Za rushes down as soon as Fadhil turns off the car's engine. Then barged into the house that looked empty. Because maybe Sapphira was in the room.
Za threw her bag on the bed. Then take a towel and go to the bathroom. His tired body had already craved a splash of water.
He was in the bathroom long enough. When he opened the door, he found Fadhil sitting on the edge of the bed. Za took a change of clothes from inside the closet. Ignoring Fadhil who might observe him while wearing his loose negligee.
"Dad!"
Za turned her head and looked at her husband's face flat.
"Mas is sorry. But you have to listen to Mas' explanation."
"About what? Happenings earlier? I've heard everything so there's nothing to explain anymore" said Za with a face that still looks calm.
Rough breath escaped from Fadhil's cleft lip. "Thank God. So you're not angry?"
The corner of Za's lips lifted. "You think I'm a statue with no feelings? Who wouldn't be angry when someone called me married to you for treasure? Not angry when you know there are other women who deliberately tease you? Even blatantly asking to marry you? I want to get angry! I hate the same you who can't be assertive with Lany. But.have it. As you said, all we have is a deposit that can be taken at any time. Husband included. If it is not taken by God, it is taken by the ex!" za said cynically.
"How far back was your relationship? It must have been far away to not be able to move on even though it has been decades. Lots of memories of course. Like your kiss that said hot!" sindir Za's. He took his hairpin and left Fadhil still languishing on the edge of the bed.
Both in the room made his blood explode. He went to the kitchen. They are not alone in the house. Za was still conscious enough to hold back so that Sapphira did not know she was fighting with Fadhil.
A glass of cold water. I wish I could cool his head. The sound of her stomach resuscitated Za if she had not been eating food since noon. Even in Fatma's place he only took a piece of cake even though the food provided was abundant.
Za opened the bag containing the food box lying on the table. The bag he left in the car must have been Fadhil who took him in. Look at one box containing cakes and one more box containing rice complete with side dishes. So Za undoes his intention to cook. The food was enough for the three of them. That's if Fadhil or Safira want to eat. For tonight, Za reluctantly reminds them to dinner.
After emptying her plate, Za was still sitting at the dinner table. If there was another bed, he would have rested himself there. The room is now used by Safira. One room on the top floor was empty.
Gontai Za forced herself back into her room. Fadhil was seen just taking a shower because the man was rubbing his wet hair with a towel. Za was just astonished by her husband this time. Fadhil did not persuade her despite knowing she was angry. While yesterday when Za was angry about small things, her husband always persuaded her until she could smile.
"If the past could be erased, I would have done it a long time ago. I don't want any woman to enter my heart but you."
Za was still silent. She does not regret her husband's past. Just hearing Fadhil and Lany's conversation just now, still pisses him off. Why is she so bold as to tempt her husband without shame.
"I'm not that selfish. Your past, whatever it is I can accept. You should have been frank from the beginning if you had a relationship with Lany."
"For what? It doesn't matter to me."
"If I think it's important? At least I can tell what's wrong with you. Lany's behavior clearly wants to tease you. But I see you're enjoying seeing her look every day at home. Or maybe you're just happy to see Lany in an open shirt like that?"
"Astaghfirullah's. If I'm happy I can't get out of the room," Fadhil strongly denied. "Mas is really sorry. Wallahi, I don't have the slightest desire to touch her."
Za fell silent at Fadhil's serious face. And it just looks scary.
"Then I ask for one thing. Do you want to do it?"
"good. Whatever it is, it's still in my power."
"Give Safira back to her mother. I'm not banning you from paying for her life until she gets a job. But from now on, I don't want him to stay with us" Za said, leaving Fadhil speechless.
