The Bujang Lapuk
Mother's Worries

"You go, Al let it be at Aunt's house. Safira is also coming home soon" said Aunt Sarah as Za and Fadhil were leaving.

I don't know what kind of persuasion Aunt Sarah did. Until Alif complied and refused not to come even though he knew Za was well dressed with her veil. Because usually if Za already wears her hijab, eating Alif will ask a lot and force to come if Za will go.

"But then how fussy?" Za hesitated about leaving.

"No. Auntie will tell him. Already, just go. You need time for both" said Aunt Sarah.

Za became unwell. It is possible that his quarrel with Fadhil was heard by Aunt Sarah this afternoon. His voice is not too loud. But it can still be heard.

"Come on! We are not long gone either" said Fadhil who just came out of the room carrying the key.

Za nodded too. After his doubts had lessened. Although Alif is comfortable with Aunt Sarah, but he is worried if the child is tantrums.

Probably true, said Aunt Sarah. They need time for both. Because since Alif, they almost never go alone.

"Mas, I don't think I want to eat meatballs anymore" Za suddenly changed her mind as they were on their way and saw a grilled corn seller.

"Certainly? Home again?"

"I want some grilled corn."

"Not eating rice? This morning did not eat, lunch was still on hunger strike, dinner was not eaten again. Drinking milk is not. Where do our kids get their nutrition, honey?"

"Still eneg" said Za.

Fadhil pulled the car over after getting a parking space. She orders grilled corn and waits for him in the car because Za is reluctant to get down. His head suddenly felt heavy and throbbing.

"Dizziness?"

Za nodded. His back and head were not comfortable. Dizziness and nausea often accompany the early pregnancy. It is as natural as the doctor says when they consult.

But if the dizziness feels throughout the day, of course, it makes you feel tormented. Za now feels the weight of being a pregnant mother. The barrage when he often denied his mother also seemed to spin. Chalk up regrets.

He looked up when he felt a touch on his cheek. Fadhil's thumb rubbed the melt of the flowing clear liquid without realizing it.

"Why sad?" ask Fadhil.

Za rubbed both of her cheeks while commenting on a smile. "No. Remember Mother again. Was it possible that when Mom was pregnant I was this heavy."

"You're going to Mom's?" cetus Fadhil suddenly.

"Tomorrow. We just bought corn and went home. Pingin tambahan," said Za.

The grilled corn seller was seen approaching them. Fadhil paid for it and kept the food because Za wanted to eat it at home.

Arriving at home, they find Za's father's car parked in front of the house.

"It looks like Dad's here," murmured Za.

He rushed down when the car stopped. His father was seen taking Alif to play in the living room.

"Kok didn't tell me you wanted to come here, Dad?"

"Your mother ngeyel asked to come here. Dad said tomorrow. But I still don't want to" replied Dad.

"So afternoon mom cooked asem-asem. Suddenly remember that you like meat. That's why I asked you to bring her here. Who knows if you want to eat" said Mother who came from the kitchen. Although he actually came to the house because he got news from Alya if they met on the street this afternoon. Mother was obviously worried about her daughter's situation. But after arriving at Fadhil's house and knowing that the child and daughter-in-law were out, he felt a little relieved.

"Well, coincidences. Za from the morning won't eat." Fadhil.

"Who? Poor baby, Za. Even if you still have to eat a little. I'll get it first."

Ms. Rahma went back to the kitchen to get some food. He returns with Aunt Sarah, who carries a tray of two cups of tea.

"Let's eat first!" said Za's mother.

"No appetite, ma'am," sahyt Za threw himself on the couch.

"Wrinked?"

Za shook her head.

"Here's the real father,"

"Didnit! What the hell, Dad?!" sahut Za with a blushing face. "No way," he said again.

"Why?" father asked as he approached Za with the plate in his hand.

Za glanced at Fadhil who was making out a smile looking at him.

"Shame, Dad," Za answered frankly.

"Who's the same? There is no one else here, really," said the father.

"Then Al, tuh!" sahut Za though he finally opened his mouth as his father held out a spoonful of food in front of his mouth. He throws a sofa cushion as Fadhil grimily teases him.

"Wah lost the competitiveness of his papi. Still wrung just spoiled as he did," as long as the new Safira came. Everyone in the room laughed.
