The Bujang Lapuk

The Bujang Lapuk
Threats

Za went ahead with a feeling of anxiety. The female guest called Mbak Min of course made her curious. Especially to find her husband.

He also breathed a rough breath. Maybe too much watching the drama to make his mind polluted.

The figure of a woman called Mbak Min was sitting in the living room. Looks graceful with a knee-length dress and hair curled. From his appearance of course shows if the woman is a person who is. Everything attached to it was so lithe to wear and looked classy.

Za breathed a sigh of relief. His bad thoughts were refuted by the woman's facial line which if Za guessed her age would have been more than half a century.

Za introduces herself as Fadhil's wife while greeting the woman.

"Sorry, who is this mother? And what's it gonna take to find my husband?"

"I am the oma of the child taken by Mr. Amar Fadhil."

The woman's confession made Za flinch. Za examined the woman's face. It's only fitting that Alif is so beautiful. Apparently due to genes from the mother and her biological father.

"Can I meet Mr Amar?"

Za's heart rate is starting to irregular. Fear for fear came upon him.

"My husband is not home. But if you want to meet, I'll call her to go home" Za said.

Then he went back inside. He did not know what to do other than to ask Fadhil to come home at once. Za was really panicking. The arrival of the woman was certainly nothing to do with Alif. Moreover, Za saw an outside the fence, the silhouette of a man he caught was in the car.

"Sir, take Alif to the upstairs room. Do not go down before Mas Fadhil comes home" Za told Mbak Min in a panic.

"What's wrong, Mother?"

"Take it, Ma'am. To my room. Lock the door."

Mbak Min who suddenly panicked also brought Alif to the upper room. While Za contacted Fadhil who might not have reached the workshop.

"Hallo, Mum! Now home!" he said without further ado.

"Going home? What was? How do you panic?"

"Just go home now. Guests will meet you. Important."

Za closes his call after Fadhil agrees.

In no more than ten minutes, Fadhil's car had entered the courtyard. I don't know where it was when Za called so soon she came back home.

"I'm sorry, it's been troubling your time, Mr. Fadhil. I'm Hera, the oma of the baby you took in the hospital a few months ago."

Fadhil was as surprised as Za. After a few months passed finally appeared also the person who had been looking for. But unfortunately, it is not the man who made his cousin's sister suffer even have to lose their lives.

"What do you need to do to meet me?" tanya Fadhil tried to hold back.

"I also offer my condolences for the passing of Aira. I am sorry to hear that news. My arrival here was none other than to take back my grandson. However, there was the blood of our family flowing inside the baby. Of course we want to take care of her and raise her" she said without regret. Not even a little empathy was seen on the woman's face. The impression that seemed was precisely arrogance.

"After your son's irresponsibility of letting my sister bear it all alone, even to the point of having to die, you think it could be as easy as taking that child away from us?" sahut Fadhil with cynicism.

"Anyone would not want this to happen. Please be glad to return my grandson. Because if I don't, I'll take any path to get my granddaughter."

"I'm sorry, I can't fulfill your request. The child was born outside the marriage. So the guardianship right is entirely with his mother's family. And we've legally taken over from her mother's family. After all you should have thought twice about coming here and intended to take the child. Don't embarrass yourself, Madam."

The woman smiled faintly. "Alright, Mr. Fadhil. I came here to take my granddaughter well. But it seems you are forcing me to take another path. I won't stop here. My lawyer will take care of it until the boy falls into my hands" he said intimidatingly.

"Please. I will also keep the child from falling into the hands of people who do not want his mother" Fadhil replied with a cynical smile.

The diary that Fadhil found in Aira's boarding room reveals everything. Including the relationship with his lover who got opposition from the man's parents. Also messages and apologies Aira to her mother. But Fadhil chose to keep his own secret Aira's life. He didn't want to make Aunt Sarah more hurt.

Although his arrival was meant to be unkind, Fadhil escorted the woman to the door. And let the woman get to her car. He didn't come alone. Because there's a driver in that car.

Fadhil closes the door and invites Za in instead of going back to the workshop.

"Mas I don't want Alif taken," said Za worriedly.

"No one will be able to take Alif from us."

"But if they hire a great lawyer how? I'm sure they're not ordinary people. They can do everything they can to take Alif."

"Yes, I know. You don't have to worry."

"But I'm scared. I can't lose Alif."

Fadhil rubbed Za's shoulder. "The alarm will remain with us. From now on be a obedient wife. Don't argue with anything."

Za nodded obediently. I don't know what Fadhil said. What kind of disobedience has she been to her husband?
