Marriage for Revenge
Requesting Permission

Dave sits himself on the couch in his special workspace. Dave gathers Albert, Elline, and Secretary Keenan to discuss his upcoming wedding in about two weeks. The man intentionally didn't involve Valerie, because surely Valerie would get in the way of his plans.

"What's Dave doing you're collecting us?" Albert asked, holding himself next to Elline.

"Mom, Dad? Dave wanted to ask permission to marry," Dave spoke out forcefully.

Elline rounded her eyes in shock, she was so gasped at the words of her eldest son, because Dave had just been heartbroken by Maura.

"Married? Who are you getting married to ? Don't play!" Elline warned.

Albert was confused by Dave. Is the kid drunk?

"Who are you getting married to?" Ask Albert with an intograding tone

"With Maura," Dave replied calmly.

Albert who heard the name Maura was immediately shocked, he put on a face of dislike, his chest up and down holding anger. "After you've been played with by her, you want to marry her? You stupid boy!!"

"Quiet, baby!" Elline tried to calm the state that was getting hot. While Secretary Keenan just silently listened to the family meeting without talking or interrupting at all.

"You're drunk, Dave! Go to your room!!" Jerk Albert with restraining his emotions.

"Why do you want to marry Maura, honey? After what he's done to our family," Elline looked at Dave in disappointment.

Dave seemed to think, he was putting together words so that his parents would allow him to marry Maura. "Dave wants to marry her because Dave wants to avenge Dave for her, Mom. Dave's gonna make him suffer."

Albert and Elline looked at each other in confusion. Albert looked at his son. "If you want to avenge yourself, you don't have to bother marrying her and making her part of our family. Let Daddy destroy his entire family!!"

"Why are you talking about revenge? Honey you got a daughter and Dave? you have a sister. Would you be willing if Valerie was hurt by a man? After all, marriage is not a matter of playfulness, marriage is when you are committed to loving each other until death separates. Although Mommy is disappointed with Maura, we should not have to take revenge. It's enough we don't get in touch with the Johnson family anymore" Elline gave her advice at length to her husband and son.

Dave ventured to look at the face of the woman who gave birth to him, took his mother's arm and kissed her. "Did Mommy want me to go to jail again? If the young man is critical again, I'm sure Prosecutor Leo will take the loophole to drag me to the bars. But if Dave marries his daughter, he won't be able to dwell, Mom because she's in my hands."

Elline and Albert look at each other, they worry so much about Dave that one day Razel's family and Prosecutor Leo will sue Dave back. In addition, Albert was afraid that Judge Edmond would change his mind and sided with Prosecutor Leo.

"Daddy and Mommy want Dave to go to jail again?" Dave asked again as if he wanted to convince his father and mother.

"We need to discuss first and decide everything" Albert stood up from his seat followed by Elline behind him.

"Dave will always wait for your answer."

Maura, Sophie and Prosecutor Leo were drinking hot tea in the yard of Maura's grandfather, Richard. For two days, Attorney Leo was in Annecy City to see his wife and son.

"Dad?" Maura kept her tea glass, she looked at her father who seemed engrossed in seeing the birds flying freely over the sky.

"What, Son?" Prosecutor Leo looked at Maura questioningly.

"Can Maura get married ?"

Prosecutor Leo immediately coughed at Maura's words, the tea in her mouth immediately splashed out, Sophie immediately patted her husband's back gently.

"Married? Are you delirious, son? Who are you getting married to? " Secretary Leo looked at Maura in full investigation.

Maura clung her head, indeed she did not dare to look at her father's face.

"Who, Son?"Prosecutor Leo urged that his daughter speak.

"Dave," murmured Maura but was still heard by Prosecutors Leo and Sophie.

Prosecutor Leo was aghast, he was so surprised by the news delivered by his son. "You're kidding me, aren't you, son?"

Maura looked at her father, she forced her smile. "Maura's serious, Dad. Maura wants to marry Dave."

"You're crazy!!!" Prosecutor Leo seemed to lose his words, he shook his head at the name of the man his son wanted to marry. It's hard to believe Maura's getting married to Dave.

"Tell me what Dave did so you'd marry him! Did he threaten you? Speak, Son! If so Daddy's gonna take legal action."

Maura immediately shook her head "no, Dad. Maura just wants to marry Dave. The togetherness yesterday made Maura fall for her," Maura smiled, she deliberately lied so that her father would not prolong his troubles with Dave.

"Daddy doesn't believe you!" Prosecutor Leo turned his eyes away.

"Darling, why don't you trust your daughter? Let Maura get married. She's an adult," Sophie chimed in, Sophie learned of Dave's threat. He allows Maura to marry Dave because Sophie believes Dave is not as bad as Maura thought. Sophie is sure Dave can forgive Maura. After all, this is one way, so that Dave stops disturbing his family and the Razel family.

Prosecutor Leo was stunned, he recognized his daughter so well. Prosecutor Leo saw fear inside the girl's blue-eye bead. He had to go to Dave and ask him directly.
