"Inox!"
I looked back to see who was calling me. Naughtiness! There's nobody but me in the Radio Rebel parking lot. Thinking it was all just my feeling, I walked back to the entrance of the building.
"Inox!"
The voice sounded again as I was just sitting on the sofa. This time it was clearer and closer. But just like before, there was no one around.
"That girl can't see us."
"It looks so."
"We can't scare her anymore!"
Slowly there was a whisper as if I was in the middle of a crowd. At first I thought that the voices I heard were coming from inside my head and were the effect of a head operation that I had just had a while ago. However, when I closed my ears, the voices swallowed.
"Woi!" hard jolt. "Who else is talking?!"
The moment becomes silent. I started to breathe a sigh of relief and leaned my back on the sofa.
"Neng geulis, how do you know Sora Nini? (beautiful kid, can you hear grandma's voice?)."
Out of nowhere it came from, the voice sounded so clear that it made me instantly rise from sitting.
"Could be," I replied short without any fear at all.
"Ieu Nini anu cicing in the sublime (this is the grandmother who lives above)," said the voice again.
"Oh, muhun Ni (oh, yes Nek)," I replied again.
"Janten leres, Neng Geulis is not working with Nini? (so right, pretty boy can hear grandma?)"
"Typical (can)." I yawned for a moment.
"But, teu tiasa ningal Nini? (But, can't see grandma?)"
"Teu tiasa (can't)," I replied.
A whispering voice rang out again, this time more boisterous than before as if I was among the hustle and bustle of humans.
"Can't see but can hear our voices!"
"The girl's getting weird."
"A accident changed his abilities!"
Enough is! I'm upset about being talked about by invisible beings.
"Diem!" I shouted strongly and turned towards the entrance.
"Astagfirullah Inoxu Tea!" jerit Adul. "Is it wrong to be yelled at and told to diem? Adul's shocked!" he cried with a glare.
I who felt bad for allegedly yelling Aduh can only smile broadly and apologize. "Sorry Dul, another play rehearsal."
"Kirain Teh Inoxu is angry with Adul" he said again while sitting on the sofa.
I smiled apologetically again and realized that the whispering voice I had heard was gone. I slowly approached Adul and sat in front of him.
"Adul" call me. I have to make sure of one thing. "When did the date come from?"
"From that Tea. Adul see Teteh speak for himself. Mau Adul reprimand, but Teteh jerked Adul."
I'm nodding. "So there's someone else besides us?" askaku.
"Ngga, Tea." Adul.
"If the creature is subtle? There's nothing here?" I asked again in a soft voice.
"I mean the devil's trick?"
I gasped at Adul's question and decided to nod in agreement.
"There's no tea. Uh, but really Teteh so can't see?" ask Adul back.
"No way," I answered short.
"Alhamdulillah" said Adul. There was relief in his tone. "Why is Teteh ngeliatin Adul so rich? Teteh even sad because can not see that?"
"It's a habit" I replied slowly.
"It should not be ordinary, it should be grateful! Not everything a human being should see. So if Teteh can only see enough, that's very good. Life is calm, and do not need to worry every time rich Adul. Adul himself, since often entered, can even squirm that much. It's so great, so exciting! In the heart of ngenes! Parno keeps his luggage."
I almost told Adul that this new condition of mine almost made me gi*la. Hearing voices without being creates an atmosphere of horror in itself.
Besides, there was one more thing I realized. Adul can't hear those voices, but I can. He could see them, and I didn't. The incident the other day where Adul and I heard and saw the subtle-creature was also witnessed and heard by Remi and Gia.
The conclusion I have is that, under certain conditions, subtle-creatures can manifest themselves and give voice to normal humans. Under normal circumstances, only Adul could see them, and only I could hear their voices.
'Thank!' I ruffled my hair in annoyance and complained inwardly when suddenly from the back of my head was a pair of gently rubbing hands.
"Usually don't like it when my hair is ruffled, it's even ruffled itself." Bang Win's soft voice entered my eardrum.
"Why? Your head hurts?" he asked again with a worried tone when he was sitting in front of me.
"You want to eat before the broadcast?" Bang Win looked at me.
I did not have time to answer, there was a commotion from the direction of the Radio Rebel parking lot that caught my attention. The voices that were shouting at each other I could hear clearly and made me run outside to see.
"Ox!"
"Teh Inoxu!"
Bang Win and Adul called me but I didn't stop running. When he arrived at the parking lot, one girl was on the ground with three girls covering him. The security guard who was also present was unable to resist the curse of the three girls standing up.
"Why sir?" manya curious.
"This is Neng Inoxu, this three Teteh said that this Teteh nyopet their wallet," replied the security guard pointing to the girl who rested on the ground.
"I'm not nyopet! This is my wallet!" yelled the girl.
"Where is my copet!"
"A flick of throats, I'm saying it's his wallet!"
"How dare you nyopet!"
The three girls began to gang up on the girl who was struggling with their words. The security guard looked confused and several people started to come to watch.
"The original owner of the wallet must know what the contents of the wallet are," said Bang Win who suddenly was behind me with Adul.
"My dad check, Bang Win. But the wallet's empty" the security guard reported. "So I don't know who the real owner is."
"I'm not a copet. The three of them are copets! They threw my wallet which they had looted because I shouted. I just want the wallet back because it's my mother's. But they accused me of being a pickpocket!"
"lik! He was obviously the copet! The security guard, report to the police" exclaimed one of the three girls.
The situation started to heat up as they threw each other spicy remarks when I heard a soft, resounding voice that sounded very clearly in the ears.
"Hey, that's the fried-seller's daughter we've been afraid of."
"Yes, he seems to be in trouble."
"Pity, he allegedly stole his own stuff."
"That's the girl's valuables."
"No, it belonged to his mother who was a fry salesman."
"Himply, there's a picture of the two of them tucked away."
"There's so much pity. Sometimes man is more evil in hurting his neighbor."
I tilted my head to hear the next dialogue from no one. When I didn't hear the follow-up, I turned my gaze to the security guard.
"Sir, call the police, tell them these three are pickpockets" I said slowly but firmly.
The three girls started to look at me dislike and say swear words. Bang Win himself immediately put up a body in front of me after being stunned for a moment.
"Don't just accuse Tea! Where is the evidence that we are nyopet!" hit one of them.
I walked slowly toward the girl who was struggling and hoped in my heart that what I heard was not a mistake. After thrusting my hand at the girl, she placed her small purse in my hand. Slowly and with my heart pounding, I checked every fold and also the slippage. My heart breaks when I find nothing. Just as I was about to give up, something was palpated by a finger and I quickly pulled. A small photo with a restless girl and a middle-aged woman posing.
I slowly showed the photo which made the three girls in front of me fall silent and prepare to run away.
"Eit, where are you going?" asked Kang Utep who was already behind them.
The security guard immediately called the police while I returned the wallet and the photo in my hand to the owner.
"Hatur nohun Teteh, this is the relic of my mother before she died. Hatur nuhun pisan," said the girl sobbing. I could only rub her shoulders slowly as she was still shocked by what I was doing.
"But you know where my mom and I are in my wallet? I just found out this second, if my late mother keeps a picture of us both in her wallet."
I gasped for a while before answering, "So I didn't see it on purpose."
The girl frowned and the people around looked at me with a look of disbelief.
"What time?"
"Feelings from earlier his wallet was not opened."
"Do you know there's a photo on the floor?"
"That little thing can wiggle its way into the wallet of times."
I hurried to stand up to get out. I don't want to answer any questions for now. As I walked into Radio Rebel, my hand was held from behind.
"Don't be afraid, there I am. When you're worried that if the whole world doesn't trust you, I'll still trust you, Oxu."
My steps stopped suddenly and I turned to look at Bang Win fixedly. "Makasi Bang Win's. Make a difference to always be there. I know, I can count on Bang Win."
Bang Win clasped my hand tightly before returning to say, "Don't be afraid. I'm always there for you. Just for you."
His words made my body, which had been cold, suddenly flowed by a pleasant warmth.
