The Midnight Radio

The Midnight Radio
Episode 29's

I was stuck standing in the middle of the room that I finally recognized as a meeting room. The difference is, the interior of this room looks elegant and antique with the presence of a set of beautiful chairs complete with tablecloth with floral motifs. On top of the table was a glass set for tea, with biscuits and milk.

The door opened and a girl dressed in a dangling dress appeared with a book in her hand. Her beautiful face was reddish when exposed to the afternoon sun while sitting next to the table for tea.

The calm I witnessed did not last long as a middle-aged woman dressed in an attractive dress and a shabby kebaya barefoot. The woman told the European-faced girl who was still enjoying her tea to immediately rush away.

Too late! The sound of the soles of the long running shoes was heard stopping in the doorway. The owner was a small short-eyed man with yellowish skin. With a flat expression, he approached the two women who were already completely frightened and unsheathed the sword.

The girl's screams along with her seeping da*rah from behind her pretty dress. His body was decays, right next to the middle-aged woman who was now lying headless.

"Oxu?" call someone who makes me try my hardest to open my eyes. But the opposite happened, I was drowning in darkness

My eyes narrowed because of the sunlight that shone. I realized that I was in the yard of the radio station after turning around and finding the same big house as the radio building where I worked. In front of me was a beautiful woman at her age who was no longer young. Just like the girl I saw earlier, this woman was wearing a beautiful dangling dress. Many people gathered and sat on the ground waiting for their turn to come forward and were given a drink in a bamboo glass.

Some girls who wear kemben and barefoot come to take turns bringing drinks in a jug. Herb is believed to be able to cure the disease outbreak that is attacking many people. The activity lasted long enough that suddenly a large car carrying many men in uniform stopped in front of this large house. They came down with guns and katanas or long swords. Without saying much, within minutes they had uprooted everyone in sight, until they fell lying in a pool of blood.

I screamed and screamed with all my might at those who did the prank*taian. Unfortunately no one was aware of my whereabouts, let alone hearing my voice as I raucously asked them to stop the cruel act.

"Ox!" The call this time jolted me firmly to the surface. For a moment I could not breathe until finally there was a bright light slowly enveloping my body.

"Ox!" call that voice again which I then realized was the voice of Bang Win.

My eyes felt heavy but there was a strong urge to keep opening them. And so completely open was the sound of the cry of the people who surrounded me.

Bang Win looked at me with a worried look. Slowly, he helped me sit down and gave me a glass of water. After a while, I began to recognize the surroundings and found Kang Utep and the old man sitting not far from me. Gia, Remi and Adul stared from behind them with faces that were already full of tears.

"Champion" said Kang Utep.

I frowned and remained silent until Mr. Ustad said that everything was fine. The man said goodbye after giving me the glass of water he had prayed for.

"What the hell is it?" That was the first word I said.

My question did not immediately get an answer for a while, until finally Bang Win voiced out.

"You passed out in the middle of the stairs."

"Why?"

"Someone wants to get into your body, but you're balking. The clash of energies that collide with each other is what makes you faint" explained Kang Utep.

"Oh yeah?" I just don't believe it.

I grinned and looked at them one by one.

"E*and you Xu! Make me surprised," said Gia slowly. Remi and Adul are still looking at me worriedly.

"Father," I said short.

"Hayu go home, let Akang anterin," said Kang Utep to the three of them.

I stood up and watched my surroundings for a while. My eyes were fixated on the point where the girl in the dress dangled sitting and enjoying tea for the last time. Various kinds of feelings piled up and made my heart tight.

"Come home?" bang Win asked, awakening me when the others had left us.

I shook my head, "Eat."

Bang Win chuckled before grabbing my hand and pulling it out of the room.

"So I called your mom and said you came home late" she said as we walked to a lesehan food stall around the radio station.

"What does mom say?"

"Your brother is talking, he said okay so long as I can return you home before dawn without one less thing. If not ...," said Bang Win stopped.

"What?"

"If not he will make me flat on the ground," he continued.

I laughed when I heard it.

"So I'm afraid you're why-why. For a moment I felt that I could give everything I had just so you were all right" he said. His hand held tightly to my hand in a jacket pocket.

"I don't think you'll ever wake up again. I screamed rich man lost his sanity when he knew you were fainting until Utep thought I was finally possessed."

I looked up at his face.

"I want to keep you going, but I still can't. So until the time comes, please make sure you always take care of yourself for me. Yea?"

I nodded in silence.

"As I said, I can't recover if I lose you."

Bang Win's words made my eyes glaze over and my nose ache. For some reason, the more days I feel if my love for that man grows bigger.
