"Where's Izzy?"
Silent. Just the piercing tone Noah threw with demanding was the only one that sounded in a whisper.
His brows were thickly linked, while the pair of shady blue were staring at Ethan and Delilah one by one. Making me unusual to see it as sweet as that is of course stunned by surprise.
The strange feeling I shouldn't have felt in this precarious situation was making me uneasy.
"W-he was behind me!" Like a thief, Ethan falters to give a weak alibi. Occasionally stealing a glance at her lover for help. But Delilah gave the same look to him.
A deal that was suddenly created because of stigma. Ethan was the only man there. He should have been able to take care of the two girls.
"You're selfish?" Isaac who was hiding at the very end rose up in a rough stomp. Let's put Ethan's collar on his head. Delilah held her chest tight.
"You left a woman alone in this crazy place and saved yourself?"
Ethan answered nothing. His lips were open about giving a reason, but everything Isaac said was the truth. Fear makes him a coward. Who has time to think of others when the danger of catching yourself.
And I don't think that's selfish.
Why are they overreacting like this?
Feeling that there was no point in blaming the young man, Isaac got up close to the door with a bold step. Before the fifth step was taken, Noah did the same and followed.
Cheek was taken on the wrists of the young man who was in the midst of emotion. Isaac made a sudden stop with coercion.
Without permission and cue, my heart is ignited with something invisible. Hot, shaky, worried into one in an instant. With a burning day, I stood up after the two young men. Find those who are communicating through deep gazes.
Silent. Without noise.
Isaac cut off contact first. Let Noah take a step forward to find Izzy.
His broad back I stared at from behind. The back that was supposed to be my backrest went away for something else. Leaving me in agonizing confusion.
The thoughts of how Noah treated me before go back to memory like a movie roll. The same thing is happening now with me being the antagonist in the story now.
Shamelessly, I felt the loss of Noah as his back was lost from behind a rock.
...***...
Almost a minute passed. The cameras kept on showing the narrow street where Noah disappeared. Waiting for the two people who are waiting to appear from back there. Max said the audience is increasing. Of course the b*jing*n who watched us liked something like this. While Noah behind the earpiece still calling Izzy's name in a whisper.
We waited tensely. Waiting for any updates Noah gave from inside there. Our senses the only thing left is hearing. The ears become eyes. The images of what Noah was going through were explained in voice.
Either the dry leaves are trampled, or the branches are broken, and the breath of Noah who hunts.
"Izzy?"
Winds.
Silence welcomed.
Noah's move was back. The young man was about to open his mouth to call out the same name before his mouth closed in a bekap.
The sound of a few seconds made us alert. Seeing with the ears does give a sharp picture as much detail as possible compared to the eyes. However, all the possibilities that ash makes any kind of speculation come true. The voices are converted into manipulative thoughts.
And I can't control it.
Noah's voice paused with a bekap. My thoughts depicted the villagers covering their mouths forcefully. The move sounded like a short fight. The young man was mute forcefully while his dragged footsteps began to sound after that.
Noah caught.
I got up in a panic approaching the door of the road intending to catch up. I don't know what I'm doing right now. My mind can't think long when it comes to the possibility of Noah getting caught. Not only me, Delilah, Ethan and Isaac stared at each other tensely.
Before my first move, Noah's body appeared suddenly from inside there– hit my body in an involuntary hug. Izzy behind him followed with his legs limping in silence.
"Dan-shh!" Noah's index finger was placed over his lips. He told us all not to make a sound.
With an increasingly pale face, Izzy pointed at the earpiece hanging from his ear then pointed at Delilah and the narrow street he had just been through.
Without hearing him speak, we all knew what it meant.
In a panic, Delilah felt her empty ears. Her earpiece wasn't there.
"They found it." Izzy opened his mouth without a sound.
I jerked. If they find an earpiece with our microphone, then they are most likely able to hear our conversation.
Heart's pounding. With the fingers cooling down again, I pulled out my phone and typed something in the announcement column. Tell Max the situation that is happening right now.
"Holly sh***" swore Max in a whisper before the audio was accidentally disconnected instantly.
"They can't operate it. At least it keeps us safe." The cute girl explained in a breath of breath.
"Not until they figure it out" Noah said. "We need to get out of here."
And this time I can't say anything more. Maybe Noah knew that his words disappointed me, now he's looking at me begging.
My heart beats in an unpleasant way. Before I spoke anything, Izzy said in a tweet. "Can't."
We all looked at him at the same time. Waiting for him to speak again. "Why?" ask Noah.
Izzy looked at me and then looked at Isaac in turn. Of course I know why he said that. So did Isaac.
Me and Izzy …
We are the same.
Life is being demanded through a similar path.
"M-they're still there. We can't go the same way back and definitely come back here. We need to get out of here."
The sentence is evidenced by Max suddenly sending a message.
Maxime:
I connected with Delilah's earpiece. They'll be back with the others! Get out of there!
With that, I looked at them frantically and immediately escaped my gaze to a place that could make them lose track of us.
Without thinking anything, I pointed at the front of the forest that was quite lush. Maybe ten meters away from our place. Of course it's worth a try.
"Well!" My whisper throws the commando.
We also ran in silence. The camera's still on. Comments and gifts flooded the screen.
On our run, the buffalo's head hangs just above. I desperately escaped the foresight of the road. Focus on the lush that is our main goal for now.
Before my energy was stolen by Noah who was carrying Izzy on his back.
My steps stopped too.
