Akhyar doesn't want Andina to be close to Sania. Although her relationship with Sania was clearly over, she could not be sure what the woman was doing. He does not want to provoke Sania by asking Andina to meet the woman he thinks must be angry in the toilet.
Akhyar sighed. He doesn't want to cover it anymore. Who knows, by telling Reza everything, the man in front of her can now make sure Sania doesn't do anything weird anymore.
“I didn't know that Sania already has a boyfriend,” said Akhyar, starting his story. “He always told me he was single.”
Both Reza's eyebrows furrowed. He suspected that the story told by Akhyar would end with his anger.
“She asked me to be her boyfriend in the third semester. Since there was no reason for me to refuse, I accepted it even though I was doubtful about my feelings. I just can't bear to refuse.” Akhyar read Reza's expression. If the man's anger seems to be unbearable, he will stop the story and take Andina away. Fortunately, Akhyar only saw a curious look there.
“From what you said earlier, I concluded Sania was lying. He cheated on me, without me noticing,” Akhyar continued. “Dan, we just broke up a while ago.”
“Why did you guys break up?” reza sela.
“Because I'm getting married to Andina. I can't explain why I should marry Andina, but this in itself is a decision I can't refuse.”
“So, what's the core of your story?”
“Some time ago, Sania had terrorized Andina. He tucked away the tires of our car, delivered the dead rat, and called to threaten to kill Andina. So, I'm asking you to understand that Andina can't get close to Sania. And, I'm asking you to watch over Sania.”
Reza pressed both of his palms to the eyes. He then laughed. “From your story, I caught Sania dating you and she didn't accept breaking up with you? What, who are you? Where do you work?”
There was a condescending tone in Reza's sentence. The line of hospitality on his face slowly faded. He does not accept the story of Akhyar as if Sania considers Akhyar more valuable than him.
Andina tapped her fingers on the table, drawing Reza's attention. “Akhyar is a maid in my house.”
Sontak Akhyar turned to Andina. He flinched.
Andina grabbed Akhyar's hand under the table. He clasped the man's hand tightly as if asking to hold back for a moment.
“This is not a matter of who Akhyar is. If you two stand on stage and your background is clearly on the screen, there must be more women choosing you. You have advantages over Akhyar. Then, why is Sania so obsessed with Akhyar that it terrorizes me? Don't ask us. Akhyar and I don't know.” Andina spoke eyes full of sympathy. His body was upright confident with every word that came from his mouth. “If you're wondering what's wrong with Sania, it's time you figure out what she wants. Why would he have an affair with someone like Akhyar who couldn't give him much. You have to find out for yourself. Do I need to teach you to find out the reason for Sania?”
Reza grabbed the glass and gulped down the water roughly until a few drops of water fell into her pants. “Ndon't need. I'll find his own.”
Reza slaps the table. He then stood with a sharp look at Akhyar.
“I don't intend to be your enemy. I'm telling you this so you know who Sania really is. I know you're a good, educated man. You definitely know which decision is best for everyone.”
Reza. He left Akhyar and Andina.
After Reza left, Andina took off Akhyar's hand. “I'm sorry.”
“Nothing. I understand.” Akhyar smiled.
What Andina said earlier was a fact she could not dispute. He shouldn't be offended by any of that. Being a maid does not make her mother a lowly human being. He was even grateful. By becoming a maid, her mother managed to get her a college degree. His mother managed to live it alone.
The schedule of the film to be watched by Andina and Akhyar also arrived. They entered the cinema without talking anything more.
The scent of Akhyar perfume attached to the jacket was soothing for Andina. Since the beginning of her pregnancy, Andina never wore perfume again because always nauseous every smelling perfume. But this time it was different. The smell of citrus is not so sharp, making it feel fresh and vibrant.
Secretly Andina glanced at Akhyar. There was something under Akhyar's ear, black and small. Andina checked it with her finger until Akhyar was surprised.
“What's up?” Both Akhyar's eyebrows rose.
Andina who suddenly pulled her hand just swallowed. “I think what, it turns out to be a mole. Sorry,” he said, holding in shame.
Akhyar shook his head, then looked back to the front.
The film is finished. Akhyar and Andina came out of the cinema. In the parking lot, Akhyar checked the tires of the car. Fortunately, the car's tires are still intact.
“You're afraid Sania's damaging our car tires again?” Andina laughs. “Here a lot of CCTV and crowded as well. Surely he will not dare.”
“I'm just in case. You remember what I told you, ‘kan?”
Andina nodded. “Iya. I remember.”
Akhyar started the car. He also moved it slowly.
The sky has turned dark. The roads are getting crowded. A flash of lightning suddenly lit up brightly in the sky.
“It looks like it will rain,” said Andina, staring into the sky through the windshield. As soon as he finished commenting, a drizzle came down.
Not long after, the drizzle turned into heavy rain. The streets are getting stuck. The car that Akhyar drives now travels like a conch.
Akhyar. There's nothing to do. He took his hand off the wheel.
“Should have, we had dinner earlier.” Akhyar glanced at Andina. They had been on the streets for half an hour, but half the way to the apartment had not yet arrived.
“I can resist hunger.”
“If you I'm sure I can, but what about your baby. You should pay more attention to your baby.”
Andina rubbed her stomach while glancing at Akhyar. What would happen if the man she married was not Akhyar? Will his feelings be this calm? Akhyar, the man who had never talked much to her, who had always been considered lowly, was able to provide comfort with such great attention. Andina's lips are up. He smiled with his face to the side.
Finally, after nearly an hour, they managed to get through the traffic jam. Akhyar chose the mouse path to avoid the traffic jam again. Even though the road they take is longer, at least the car can continue to go.
Akhyar's attention is distracted by the light of the car lights chasing them. The car shrinks the distance at high speed. With the narrow road as they passed now, the car behind it should understand. However, no. The car honks as if asking Akhyar to pull over.
“Where will I pull over? It's crazy, huh?” akhyar said, glancing to the right is a trench, while to the left of the road dividing wall.
“It seems, the car was deliberately following us.” Andina looked back. He felt an unpleasant feeling.
