Forced to Marry My Maid's Son

Forced to Marry My Maid's Son
Surprise

After the script was completed, Akhyar worked at a restaurant. As much as possible, he did not want to waste time. He wants to have his own income soon. Since his diploma had not come out and the time was not too long, he could only get a job as a waitress.

Today, Akhyar goes to campus to take his degree. Before getting any bad news about him marrying Andina, Akhyar intends to start looking for another job tomorrow. However, if it had been like this, the plan had to be undone. He will work at a hotel owned by the Andina family.

Akhyar parked his bike. He saw the door of the restaurant where he worked a few months back. He smiled knot.

“Oi, Yar! Why bengong? Inbound! That Mr. Toto is already angry!”

Akhyar jerks. He looked at Dimas, his new co-worker.

Akhyar hurriedly put down the helmet, then chased after Dimas. “Why else with Mr Toto?” tanyakanya.

“She was angry about the table less clean.”

“Which table? Isn't it last night all clean?”

“I don't know either. Let's go in. All collected in.”

Upon entering the restaurant, Akhyar took the time to glance towards the open door of Pak Toto's room. He saw some of his co-workers standing in front of Mr. Toto's desk.

Arriving in the dressing room, instead of rushing to change clothes, Dimas sat down after putting his bag in the locker.

“Why? You said we had to rush in. Now, even you are relaxed,” said Akhyar while changing his clothes with a waitress uniform.

“You must have seen the other one being scolded in Mr. Toto's room. After I thought about it, we showed up after Mr. Toto finished getting angry. I'm tired of hearing her cry.” Dimas spoke while replying to a chat on his phone.

Akhyar. “We have to get there now. Don't be unfaithful, my friend. We have to be equally responsible for the problems that occur. Change clothes!”

“Iya .. yes. I'm changing clothes now.”

Dimas then changed his clothes. He even hummed casually. In fact, when in the parking lot earlier, Dimas looked panicked.

Not finished Dimas buttoning his uniform. Akhyar pulled the man's hand to immediately go to Mr. Toto's room.

“Got patient, Yar. Have you missed Mr Toto?”

Mr. Toto's door has been closed. Akhyar knocked on that door. Long enough the door was opened. Not as usual.

“Pak Toto.” This time Akhyar knocked while calling the name of the owner of the room.

Door opens. The sound of trumpets greeted Akhyar.

“Happy birthday!” exclaimed a woman in a red dress right at the open door holding a cake over which a candle was lit.

Akhyar's smile broadened. He glanced at the wall clock. Not yet twenty-four. His birthday is still a few hours away.

Akhyar extended his neck to look back. Mr. Toto and all of his colleagues he thought were being scolded clapped their hands while singing a happy birthday song.

“It's too fast, Sania. There are still a few hours left,” Akhyar said.

“Udah, blow up the candle first, then I explain later.”

Akhyar blew out the candles to finish off the crowd. All the visitors stared at him due to Sania's guided birthday chant.

“Thank you for the surprise.” Akhyar looked at Sania. “But, why so fast?”

“Let's ask. Now, enjoy tonight. Sania has already begged a special table.” Dimas pointed at the table decorated with blue-colored tablecloths. On the table was a bouquet of red roses and a box with ribbons. “Go there! Enjoy this night. I'll take care of your work.”

Akhyar smiled. He followed Sania to the table.

“I prepared this surprise three days ago.” Sania put down the cake she brought, then sat down. “Should have, I give you this surprise tomorrow. But, Papa has a job to Paris tomorrow. You know that I've been waiting for a time like this, ‘kan? I'm going with Papa and Mama to Paris. So, I'm advancing this surprise. It's okay, ‘kan?”

I stared at everything on the table. Birthday cakes, flowers, and gift boxes.

“Thank you for the surprise.” Akhyar tried to smile as wide as possible even though in his head he was thinking how to say the problem of marriage with Andina.

“This is a gift for you. Try opening. You must like.” Sania pushed the gift she prepared in front of Akhyar.

However, Akhyar instead pushed the gift in front of Sania.

“What's up? You don't like my gift? You haven't opened it yet, loh. Open it first.”

“Sorry, Sania. Not because I don't like it. But, there's something I want to talk about.”

“What's the matter? Don't tell me you're forbidding me to come with Papa to Paris.”

Akhyar. “Not. I'm glad I wanted to go to Paris for a long time. What I want to talk about is something else.”

“What?”

“About wedding.”

“Wedding.” Sania's eyes were widened. He had never thought about marriage because he was in college. “I'm still in college. And, soon I'll start compiling the thesis. Anyway, you haven't got a job yet, ‘kan? Or, you want to work at Papa company?”

Akhyar closed his eyes. “I'll marry Andina.”

Sania's hand that was still holding the gift box slowly loosened. He did not believe what he heard.

“You're kidding, ‘right? Married to Andina? Mr Satrio's son? Don't you like that girl? You said her family used to treat your mother arbitrarily, ‘kan?”

“Iya. But, we also have a debt of gratitude that we cannot repay, except in this way.”

Sania laughs. “Utang budi? That's a very silly reason. And, on what basis would Andina want to marry you? He was dating Ian. Everyone at the college knows that. They are a matching couple. From the same caste. Everyone at the college knows you're not Andina's type. That woman has a very high standard.”

The corner of Akhyar's lips lifted. He knew himself and Andina were in different castes. Everyone on campus would be very surprised to hear about their wedding.

“There are many things in our lives that cannot be predicted. I was far below Andina's standards. But, in the end we were destined to get married.” Akhyar couldn't see Sania's wet eyes. “One more time, I'm sorry. We both come from different castes. I respect your decision to choose me among the many men who approach you. You're a good woman, Sania. You can definitely get someone better than me.”

Sania stand. He lifted the birthday cake from the table, then threw it on Akhyar's face.

Akhyar's face was filled with cream cake. And so is his uniform. But he didn't say anything. He deserves all of that.

“You think, how many people say I'm a stupid woman after choosing you to be my girlfriend? A bunch. They say I'm blind. A woman as beautiful and from a rich family like me wants to be your girlfriend. Supposedly, you are grateful, Akhyar.” Sania's tone of voice rose. “You think I'll just shut up? Naw. I don't accept being treated like this. I'll make sure your wedding is ruined. You will not be happy.”
