Forced to Marry My Maid's Son

Forced to Marry My Maid's Son
Invitation

Ms. Rini turned her head when she heard the sound of footsteps. As soon as he saw Akhyar at the door, he stood up with a pushy look. The intimidating move was on Akhyar. No one dared to intercept, not even Bu Nani.

A very hard slap landed on Akhyar's cheek. Andina who was asleep was awake.

“Is it so hard to take the time to pick up Andina? What are you doing in the office? My husband doesn't expect anything from you there. In the company, you simply sit quietly and do small tasks.”

Akhyar. “I'm sorry, Bu.”

“Mama!” call Andina. “Already. I'm okay too. Let's go home.”

Miss Rini ran over to Andina who was about to get off the bed. “We wait one day only, yes. Even if the doctor says you're okay, Mama's still worried.”

“Akhyar, you brought the car here?” Andina did not care about her mother's words.

Akhyar.

“Then, I'll rest here soon. Please take the car now. I don't want to take a taxi. I'm going to ride my own car.”

Quickly, Akhyar nodded. “I'll be back soon.”

Without waiting any longer, Akhyar turned around. He left the room as soon as possible. Andina lay back down.

No one could argue with Andina in that room. When he wants to go home, he will go home. He cannot be arrested for even a second.

After Akhyar returned, Andina asked her mother to call a doctor to confirm her condition once again and remove the infusion. He then went home with Akhyar.

In the car, the atmosphere was really awkward. Akhyar turned on the car without looking at the person sitting next to him.

“No need to get too thought out,” Andina said after they left the hospital parking lot.

“I'm really sorry.”

“I told you. Don't think about it. After all, taking care of me is not your duty. We are nobody. We're just two strangers who happen to have to be tied up for a while. I understand that. I'm not a kid who doesn't know anything.”

“How did the accident happen?”

“There was a motor that suddenly passed in front of the taxi I was riding.”

“You saw the guy?”

Andina sighed. He held his stomach. Although it looks calm from the outside. In fact, until this moment, he was still horrified to remember the accident.

The taxi he was riding drove off casually. Suddenly a motorist passed by at high speed. In order not to hit the motorbike, the taxi driver slammed the steering wheel into a road barrier. Andina's forehead hit the back of the front seat because she wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

He's still lucky. No serious injuries. The bladder's no problem either.

“I don't see the person's face,” Andina said, closing her eyes.

Akhyar nodded. Then he focused on driving. The only thing Andina needed now was rest, not interrogation. Akhyar has to understand that.

Arriving at the apartment, Akhyar continued to walk behind Andina until the woman lay in bed.

Before exiting Andina's room, Akhyar asked, “Do you need anything?”

“Ngak. Just close the door.”

Akhyar nodded. He came out of that room. However, after the incident this afternoon, he did not release another gaze from Andina's room door. He also put his sense of hearing as focused as possible in order to hear if Andina asks for something.

Guilt enveloped Akhyar's chest. Until the next few days, Andina's frightened face was still clearly visible in her memory. Every day, Akhyar puts a phone nearby with the loudest ringtone so that he knows there is a chat or phone coming in.

However, Andina never again asked for her help. The woman seemed to step away and try to do anything on her own.

“Halo, Bu.”

“Halo, Akhyar. You go to Andina's campus now. Car carry also.”

“What happened to Andina?” Akhyar stood up.

“Ngak. He asked to be picked up. But now the HP is not active. You know the campus best Andina. So, find him now.”

“Good, Mom. I'm leaving now.”

Without turning off his computer, Akhyar hurried to the apartment to pick up the car. He then gas-fired into the Andina campus.

At this hour, the campus is crowded. Many juniors knew him by the way. In fact, there are also lecturers and seniors who have not graduated. He hesitated to go down because he was lazy to talk. He called Andina, hoping she would lift. But there is no answer.

Akhyar finally got out of the car. With the widest possible step, he headed towards Andina's classroom. Some juniors greeted him. Akhyar replied with a faint smile.

In the classroom, Akhyar meets his friends Andina who had eaten with him a few days ago. Andina was not in the room.

“Andina where?” ask Akhyar.

“She's going to the bathroom. You just wait here. That's his bag.” Monica pointed at the bag on her back desk.

Akhyar took Andina's bag. He decided to wait in the doorway.

“Akyar, what's the twenty-third date, you and Andina have a plan?” Monica asked with a smile that looked like a fake.

Before replying, Akhyar looked at the ceiling. Twenty-three, Sunday. He has no schedule.

“Me and Andina aren't going to any of those dates. What's up?”

“I want to invite you to my brother's wedding. Yes, even if you don't know my brother, I hope you can come. The more crowded, the better. Invitations at home left some. So, I'll send you an invitation if you can come. You see, those who come must bring an invitation to enter.”

Akhyar nodded. “Good. Just send. We will come.”

“Thank you. I'll send you the invitation this afternoon.”

Not long after, Andina came. His forehead shriveled, confused by Akhyar who suddenly appeared on his campus.

“You why are here?” Andina took her bag that was in Akhyar's hand.

“I'm going to pick you up. Rini's mom called me. You can't be reached, so I'm directly here.”

“Oh. My HP battery's running out. Then let's go home.” Andina waved to her friends. “I go home first, yes. See you next week.”

Without seeing the response of her friends, Andina left that classroom. He walks ahead.

“Oh yes, earlier Monica said she would send an invitation. She invited us to her sister's wedding.”

Andina stopped walking. “You rejected it, ‘kan?”

“I said we'd come.”

Andina clucked. “Why don't you refuse? Since then, I've been trying to avoid conversations about her sister Monica's wedding. I don't feel good, but I can't come either.”

“Why? Don't you like parties the most?”

“You saw the clothes I was wearing!” ketus Andina's.
