...Happy Reading's...
A month later...
A man was now staring at the monitor screen in front of him, the ringing of the phone that had just rang as if it did not bother him. But occasionally he took a quick glance at her before continuing his work. For a month he waited, and the wait seemed to be fruitless.
The sound of the creaking door of his study now seized his attention, right there was a woman in a neat suit smiling widely at him, and do not forget the tote bag he was carrying.
“Lunch?”
The woman smiled and entered her study. Jack, the man only sighed before approaching the woman who now took out two boxes of food from the tote bag she was carrying.
“You cook?”
“Anne misses her mother's cooking, so I cook a lot today.”
Jack just nodded and stared at Judy's cooking on the table. Instantly he smiled thinly, home cooking that he so rarely felt. Without further ado Jack immediately picked up his food box and devoured it. Judy who saw Jack eating so voraciously her cooking smiled happily.
“I know you will definitely forget about lunch because Clara returned to France.”
Said Judy and looked at her sister. But Jack did not budge, he still devoured his brother's cooking. Clara returned to France two weeks ago to take care of her move. All his plans with Clara failed miserably, the two of them who chose to settle in France now turned around. Clara had to come back because she couldn't just leave her father.
"Do you think we should move Dad to another hospital?" Jack asked and looked at the older brother, Judy just sighed and shook her head.
"No Jack, we've even moved to the hospital three times because of your will. But the results remain the same, Dad is not yet conscious. I think we should wait."
Judy said gloomily. Within a month, they had moved the father to various famous hospitals but the results were nil. It made his father's physique even more unstable.
"Until when? How long do we wait?"
Jack asked and looked at Judy. Judy was silent, and she didn't know when to wait. He can't promise Jack.
"So Jack, I haven't found the answer yet."
Said Judy and looked at the sad sister. Jack's regret must have been much greater than the sadness he felt now.
“Well, Clara said to me if you so often ignore her calls, what's wrong with you?”
Hearing Judy's question immediately Jack stopped his activities. He put down his lunch box and drank a bottle of water that Judy had prepared along with her cooking.
“I'm just busy working, that's it.”
“Until can't pick up his call? Even just once?”
Jack glanced at Judy at a glance before sighing. I don't know since his father fell into a coma for a month, he had to handle all his work. GrantHill was taken over by Judy. Taking care of the Hilton Group turned out to be much more difficult and more time-consuming.
“Kak, I just obeyed Dad's orders to run the company.”
“Come on Brother, I don't want to argue.” Jack said and looked at Judy annoyed.
Judy now sighed heavily at how stubborn her sister was. He just didn't want Clara to get tired of this attitude of his sister. Because he was sure, far out there so many men were even looking for a wife like Clara. And he wanted his brother to be the lucky guy.
“What about your wedding with Clara? You're still gonna postpone it?”
Judy asked and stared intently at Jack. Hearing that question again, Jack only sighed and closed his half-owned lunchbox. Talks like this lowered his eating mood.
“I won't get married before Dad wakes up from his coma.”
Hearing Jack's words, Judy looked at him with a look of disbelief. One month ago Jack who seemed so hunted – hunt about his marriage with Clara. But now he has forgotten all that.
“You're serious about what you say?” Judy looked at Jack intensely.
“As for Brother, even Clara never complains with it.”
“Did you ever see Clara complaining before with your decision?”
Hearing Judy's words, Jack was silent for a moment. Indeed, unlike her, Clara always agreed to almost all her requests. But, the question is, Is Clara happy with her choice? Seeing Jack's doubtful gaze, Judy simply shook her head. A man has very low sensitivity.
“The years he waited for you to propose to him, but could he argue that his marriage should be delayed because his future father-in-law is lying in a coma?” Ask Judy and look at Jack inside. Clara had no choice, that was the real reality.
“Clara had to give in by closing her Bakery in France to take care of Jack's father. Do you think there's a woman as good as her that you've ever met?”
Hearing Judy's question after question left Jack speechless. Indeed, for the first two weeks his father was in a coma. Jack only allowed Mrs Turner and Clara to wait for him.
But indeed Jack asked for it because again - again Clara never complained about her request. But, is Clara happy about it?
“Kak, I just.. I just want to wait for Dad to wake up and be able to attend my wedding.”
“Until when is Jack? Do you think Clara won't leave until that happens?”
Judy asked annoyedly looking at the Sister. He really does not know the way of mind of his brother. Especially how Jack who seemed to stay away from Clara by not raising his call.
He understood, even very understanding if Jack was so sorry and sad about their father's situation. But that doesn't mean Jack can take it all out on Clara. How long should Clara understand herself?
“Do you think that's what Clara would do? Leave me?"
Jack asked doubtfully. He never understood Clara's feelings for him. Pain, worry, disappointment or whatever that feeling Clara felt to her. But hearing her brother's words as if realizing one thing, she didn't know Clara well enough.
“If you feel your fight for Clara is so great, the fight for you then much bigger Jack. Don't waste it – save him." Judy now paused on his words and looked at Jack inside.
"You don't know how crazy Dad was when he lost Mom, do you? I don't want you to be the same fate as him."
