Chapter 49 Shaken Shocked

Outside the room, Kenan releases his check on Windy's arm.

"Now explain, why are you hugging that village girl, huh?" sue Windy who is still not satisfied.

"Ma, stop! Don't worry anymore!"

"Where does Mama not mind if what you're doing is wrong!"

"What's wrong, Ma? I just hugged my wife, was that a mistake?" refute Kenan.

Kenan was surprised to hear her mother lie, "Ma!"

"Ma, if Kenan doesn't want to, don't force it!" hendria warned.

"Yes, Mama is just a discussion, really. Right, Ken?" Windy nudged Kenan's arm.

Kenan had to nod because he did not want to make things worse if Hendra knew the truth.

"Why is the discussion there? Let's have a chat in the room! Papa also wants to join the roost," cetus Hendra.

"I-iya, Pa,"Windy was nervous, while Kenan was just unmoved with a feeling of annoyance.

Finally Kenan and his parents were discussing about the young man's intention to continue college.

"Are you going to Stanford University? Aunt Cindy asked that." Windy made sure, he tried to be ordinary and closed his regret to the son.

"So, but on one condition" said Kenan.

Windy frowned, "What condition?"

"Nara must also come along" replied Kenan firmly.

"Papa agrees!" sela Hendra fast.

"Because she's my wife, Ma."

"But Mama doesn't agree!" reject Windy.

Windy suddenly turned his gaze to look at Kenan in disbelief, "You're out of your mind, huh?"

"Mama!" hendra Tegur.

Windy turned to look at Hendra, "Pa, this doesn't make sense! Studying at Stanford University was Kenan's ideal, but he was willing to throw it away just because of that damn country girl!"

"Enough, Ma!" snapped Hendra, "if Kenan wants Nara to come with him, then Nara will come! Papa will take care of everything."

"You two are the same! Absolutely outrageous!" Windy sulked, he walked out of the room and slammed the door hard.

Hendra shook his head to see the wife's rude attitude.

"I'm sorry, Pa. I've made Mama and Papa fight again" Kenan regretted.

"That's okay, your mother must be accelerated. Later Papa will talk to him again, now you tell Nara about the plan you want to take her to college in America, so she can prepare herself." Hendra patted Kenan on the shoulder.

"Yes, Pa." Kenan rushed out and was happy.

Hendra breathed a sigh of relief to see Kenan disappear behind the door, he knew the truth was happening, because he had heard everything Kenan and Windy were talking about outside, but he did not want to discuss it now. He will wait for the right time to talk about it, but for sure at this time he feels very happy because finally Kenan can accept Nara as his wife and love the woman.

Kenan returned to his room, he found Nara standing looking out the window, as if the woman was daydreaming for not realizing her arrival. Kenan approached Nara, and stood on equal footing with his wife.

"What are you thinking?" ask Kenan.

Nara, who was pensive, was shocked to death, she turned her head and moved away from her husband. But a few seconds later he fell down awkwardly.

"You must be thinking about me again, right?" guess Kenan was full of confidence, but Nara did not answer.

"There's something I want to talk to you about" Kenan said later.

"Sama, there's something I want to talk to you about as well" Nara replied still with her head down.

"Then say it first!" pinta Kenan is curious.

"I've thought things through, and I've decided to stay apart from you" Nara said without hesitation.

Kenan was flabbergasted, his heart suddenly ached like being stabbed by thousands of daggers. Just now he wants to fix things up with Nara, but his wife wants a breakup.

"But why?"

"Because I don't love you, I even hate you so much, so it's useless for this marriage to continue" Nara said in a voice trembling with tears.

Kenan's heart aches more, he thinks Nara will forgive him after he confesses his feelings, but in fact the woman still rejects him.

"I know all this time I've been bad to you, I've hurt you. But can't you forgive me and give me a chance to fix everything? I promise I'll make amends, I'll try to make you happy."
