Chapter 10 Banget Tea
After Heri and Anna's funeral, Hendra sits with Nara in the car. The woman was still sobbing, not expecting Om and Tante to leave so soon.
"You don't cry anymore, pray for them to be quiet in nature!"
"Yes, sir."
"Now we're home, huh? You still have a lot of rest."
"But I want to go home to my old house, sir. I don't want to go back to your house again," refused Nara, he still can't be ready to meet Kenan again.
Hendra looked at Nara gently, "I can't possibly let you live alone in this state, let alone my son just ruining your life."
"That's okay, sir. I can live alone."
"Nara, let me and my son take responsibility! Let him make amends for all his wrongs to you" Hendra persuaded.
"But I don't want to marry her, sir."
"Son, if you refuse to marry Kenan, imagine what your future will be! Think about it!"
"If you get married, it will save you. Men, nothing is broken or lost, but you? I don't want you to regret it later," continued Hendra, he can't just let Nara.
Nara thought about Hendra's words, she knew he was well-intentioned and wanted to take responsibility for the son's actions, but somehow it felt like he was hard to accept all that. Especially now that he hates Kenan. But he was also afraid to imagine his future, was there still anyone who accepted him who was no longer holy?
"Nara, how?"
Nara exhaled heavily and finally nodded resignedly, perhaps she should accept Hendra's offer to marry Kenan. If she's unhappy, she could ask for a divorce.

Hendra got Nara into his house, he called Bi Ani and asked the housekeeper to drive Nara into the room.
"Bi, please take Nara to the room, yes!" pinta Hendra's.
"Well, sir," said Bi Ani, then took Nara's arm, "let's go, Sister Nara!"
Slowly Nara stepped with Bi Ani, both of them being careful while climbing the stairs. But very coincidentally Kenan stepped down and passed them, Nara immediately lowered her head because she did not want to look at the young man who had raped her. While Kenan only glanced at Nara, while walking past her.
"It just so happens that you come, there's something Papa wants to talk to you about" Hendra said as he watched Ken walk up to him.
"What, Pa?"
Kenan gasped and immediately refused, "But I don't want to marry him, Pa!"
"Please, we've discussed this before and Papa doesn't accept rejection! You have to take responsibility for what you did, or Papa will get angry and pull all the facilities that Papa gave you!" hendra said with a slight threat.
Kenan does not believe the Papa will get him cornered with that unfair choice, he is really frustrated.
"Nara just lost her Om and Tantenya who died in an accident, so you don't add to her grief! According to Papa and be nice to him!"
Kenan is surprised to hear Hendra's statement, he just found out if Om and Aunt Nara died. But he still can not take for granted the unilateral decision of his father.
"Pa, I'm still too young and I still want to continue my education. What's my future if I get married young?" Kenan tries to negotiate, hoping to change his father's decision.
"Then what is Nara's future? Why don't you think about it before you do something inappropriate? You're not a kid anymore, you know the risks, right?"
Kenan was silent, he really regretted what happened, but he did it out of desperation, he couldn't touch Nara under normal circumstances either.
"Here you go, now you'd better meet Nara! Apologize to him. Papa will take care of your wedding as soon as possible" Hendra said, patting Kenan on the shoulder and then passing away.
Kenan was stunned, he could not accept but he also had no other choice. Married young especially with Nara was never the plan of his life, what if his friends knew if he married the cupid woman? Kenan has to keep all this a secret. He rushed after Hendra to apply for conditions.
"Papa wait!" kenan shouted before Hendra entered the room.
Hendra turned to look at his son, "What else is it?"
"I will take responsibility and marry him. But I'm asking this wedding to be kept a secret, I don't want anyone, especially my friends to know."
Hendra flinched for a moment, to be honest he did not agree with Kenan's terms. But now it's good if he obeys his son's request, because Kenan is willing to marry Nara alone is a good thing. Hendra did not want the son to change his mind if he refused.
"Alright," said Hendra later.
From inside her room Nara could clearly hear what Kenan was saying, her heart getting sicker and sad because she knew Kenan did not want to admit to himself.
"Patient sister Nara, yes! Don't be sad! Bibi sure one day Mas Kenan can certainly accept Mbak Nara, really. You see Madam Nara is a beautiful and kind woman." Bi Ani tried to comfort Nara, because she also heard the words of her master's son.
Nara forced a smile without replying to Bi Ani's words. She didn't expect Kenan to accept her much less love her. After all, their marriage was due to a compulsion due to mistakes. So what can Nara expect?
This marriage was only to cover up the disgrace that Kenan had inflicted on him. Later if one day they separated, at least Nara's name is not too bad for being a widow, than she was a girl but not a virgin.
