Chapter 18 As He Wishes
Kenan goes to Rendy's house, he has to talk to the young man and make sure that his best friend will not reveal his marriage to Nara.
"I know Nara told you everything and I asked you to keep this from our other friends, I don't want them to know about this matter" Kenan said.
"What if they know?" ask Rendy pretending not to understand.
"Ren, do you know what Nara looks like? The other friends would laugh at me if they knew I was married to that little girl" Kenan lamented.
Rendy felt a little emotional hearing Kenan's words that seemed to demean Nara, "Ken, Nara is also human just like us, he's not bad even arguably he's better than us. Why do you think he's such a lowly and unworthy human being with you?"
Kenan frowned, "Why are you talking like that? You're more defending him than me?"
"I'm not defending anyone, I'm just trying to wake you up so you respect her more and regard her as your wife. After all, this marriage happened because of your fault, not Nara's will. So please don't hurt him!"
"What did he tell you? Did he tell you to deliver this?" accuse Kenan.
"No. He just asked me to keep this a secret, because he's ashamed."
"I should be ashamed, why is he?"
"Ken, she's a rape victim. Do you think all this is hard on him? He was also tormented by this incident? He feels hurt because you've ruined his future, plus your bad attitude towards him" Rendy said.
"Enough, Ren!" kenan snapped angrily, "why did you lecture me?"
"Because you're being too selfish!"
Kenan's been getting bloodied, "He, I just asked you to keep this a secret, but why are you even cornering me?"
"Then I won't shut up unless you promise to be nice to Nara."
Kenan was stunned to think that Rendy would threaten him like this, "You?"
"Now that the decision is in your hands, if you still treat Nara badly, be prepared for this shocking news to spread" Rendy continued.
Kenan spontaneously gripped firmly on Rendy's collar and stared intently at her best friend, "You dare threaten me?"
Rendy brushed off Kenan's hand with a cynical smile, "Yes, I'm threatening you!"
Kenan distanced himself from Rendy, his sharp gaze turning suspicious, "Why are you doing this? Don't you really like that cupu?"
Rendy's speechless.
"Or has she seduced you with her body, so you're willing to do this to me?" guess Kenan.
"Close your mouth! Nara's not that low!" hardik Rendy is angry.
"Then why are you doing this? Why are you threatening me?" Kenan asked in a high tone.
"Because I care and pity her, I want her to be happy!"
"Yes, if you want, just take the cupu! Happy him! Because I'm tired of him!"
"You're gonna regret all this, Ken." Rendy warned her best friend.
"Now I regret dealing with him!"
"You really don't have feelings" said Rendy.
"Whatever you wanna say! But if you dare to expose all this, then I'll tell everyone that Nara set me up to take advantage." Kenan threatened back then passed away.
Rendy clenched her hands tightly, she was annoyed at being merciful with Kenan's haughty and selfish attitude. They have been friends since childhood, but they often quarrel because the two have different characters. And this time is their biggest feud, Rendy who has long harbored the pain of Kenan is not sure their relationship will return as good as before.
Meanwhile, Kenan returns to his house feeling cocky, he does not expect Rendy will desperately defend Nara like this. Kenan was disappointed because his best friend dared to threaten him, and his sense of regret became more when he saw Nara sitting casually in the living room.
Without the ba-bi-bu, Kenan immediately approached Nara and hit the woman.
"What did you say to Rendy until she could defend you and willingly fight with me? You must've seduced her, didn't you?"
Nara gasped, she was confused because Kenan came in and got angry like this.
"What are you talking about?"
"You're always acting plain, when in fact you're cunning and hypocritical!"
"Oh, you think I don't know? You must have incited Rendy, or maybe you've used your body to make her ...."

One loud slap landed on Kenan's cheek before he could finish his words.
"So talk! I'm not that low!" nara Bentak.
Kenan fumbled her red and sore cheeks, then looked at Nara sharply, "You dare to slap me?"
"Yes, why? All this time I've been patient enough to face you, but this time you've gone too far! You ruined my life and now that you're humbling me, I can't take it!" nara said, her tears fell down dripping down her cheeks.
"Then just get out of here! I'm tired of you too!"
"Henner!"
Hendra's voice suddenly startled Kenan and Nara, both of whom turned to look at the middle-aged man who was already standing in the doorway.
"Papa?"
Neither Kenan nor Nara thought Hendra would come home.
With wide steps Hendra walked up to the child and his daughter-in-law, "What is this? Why did you throw your wife out?"
"Because he dared to slap me, Pa," on Kenan.
Hendra looked at Nara, "What's that, Nara?"
Nara nodded.
"Why did you slap him?"
"Because he has demeaned and insulted me" replied Nara.
Hendra turned his gaze to Kenan, "Is that right, Ken?"
"Yes, he told Rendy about our marriage" Kenan said.
"I was forced to tell her because yesterday Rendy saw me break into this house, Pa. What other reasons should I say besides that? After all, Rendy has promised to keep all this a secret" Nara said in self-defense.
"But because of you, we got into a fight! He even threatened to expose all of this to my other friends!" sulk Kenan.
Nara was surprised to hear Kenan's words, didn't Rendy promise to shut up? Why would he threaten Kenan?
"Already! Whatever problems you are facing, you should solve them well. Do not use emotions to hurt each other! You're married, and you should be more mature." Hendra mediates.
"And you Kenan, as a husband you should be wiser and more appreciative of your wife. Keep your talk, do not hurt your own wife's feelings, because the husband's job is to educate and protect his wife. Not even hurt!" continued Hendra.
"Why is Papa advising me? Papa should have advised him! Let him know himself and keep his attitude!" kenan protests while pointing at Nara's face.
"Henner!" bentak Hendra's.
Kenan stared intently at Nara, then rushed away in annoyance.
Hendra exhaled and looked at Nara, "You're patient, yes! Forgive Kenan's attitude, he's still immature, but trust me he's actually a good kid."
"I also apologize for being rude to her" Nara said.
"Yes, but next time don't do it again. After all Kenan is your husband, and you also have to respect him. If he made a mistake or hurt you, tell Papa! Let Papa scold him."
Nara just nodded, although in her heart she did not accept Kenan's bad attitude and words earlier, but she did not want to refute Hendra who was good enough for him.
"You better rest now, Papa will go to the room first."
"Yes, Pa," said Nara.
Hendra rubbed Nara's head and stepped out of the daughter-in-law.
