CONFESSION STONED

CONFESSION STONED
161. Asti Switches

“So today the reason not to go into the office what is Mas?” asti asked as she greeted Bayu at the door of her room. He offered a glass of warm sweet tea that he had prepared earlier.

“I said find news to the policek a bit far away,” replied Bayu chuckled then sipped his sweet tea.

“I'm not good with nerepotin. Later on the roar even more unpleasant. The impression is trivial,” said Asti still standing in front of the door of his room.

“Nothing. When it's over, I honestly keep apologizing. How to go straight to?” Bayu thrust an empty glass of sweet tea on Asti.

“Iya, yuk.” Asti put the glass inside and grabbed her bag.

“Jam as soon as quiet yes..” said Bayu turned around the boarding houses that did look empty. Mak Robin, the housewife, is not seen because she is delivering Robin to school and waiting for him.

“Mbak Tini now go to work early in the morning. Both the same mas Boy way to the front of the alley. The sky is still dark every time they go to work,” said Asti then put the room key into the bag and walk to the motorbike Bayu parked in front of his room.

“Mak Robin?” Bayu got up from the chair to his motorbike.

“Nganter Robin school are waiting too. The school is awkward. The road is quite far, the angkot ride is too decet. May be waiting for his angkot over his journey. So Mak Robin used to take shortcuts from behind.”

“Hmmm... chicken coop residents are now on busy yes,” said Bayu.

“Iya. I'm the only one who graduated college, but dapet belom work. My status is not a student anymore. But unemployment,” firmly Asti.

“But at least—”

“Have a girlfriend ‘kan? Surely Mas want to say that,” reply Asti then laugh. Bayu laughs at the omen Asti's guess just now was right. “Today the route nganter job application is a bit far Mas... it's okay ‘kan?” tanya Asti then wear his helmet which is usually always hanging on the front cantolan of a large Bayu motorcycle matik.

“Try me see—” Bayu took the big brown envelope that was in Asti's hands to observe the address. “Not far away. Can't you just go online? All-all ‘kan now ”.<TAG1>

Asti climbed up into the splotch and re-hugged his big brown envelope. “Kalo through the official line of acceptance is usually online Mas. But I ‘kan nyoba through her brother temenku. I want a job that suits my major on campus. In fact, if you are just looking for work for S1 graduates to experience, I can work in the general section first.”

“Ya really, let's try aja.” Bayu has advanced the motor entering a crowded highway.

Along the way, Bayu still invites Asti to talk. They are very connected in every conversation. About anything. Asti's passion for reading and his insight as a recent graduate of a state college, making his chat with Bayu always exciting every time discussing hot topics.

Asti likes to talk to her boyfriend. Anytime, anywhere. Except. when they are riding on a motorbike that is driving.

“Jadi—dicoba—once—Heru—gitu—gimana?— Bayu's voice sounded disjointed and indistinct in Asti's ear covered with helmet. Bayu's words only stopped a little in his ear.

“Ha? What?” jest Asti from behind.

“Nanti—ran—ru—mum—gimana?” Bayu shouted back from the front. This time getting worse, Asti only heard a piece of the new thing his girlfriend shouted.

Do not want to be embarrassed because it is labeled too pudding, Asti said. “Iya Mas—iya. Beres...” I don't know if what he said was yes, okay or done. The important thing is that he has seen Bayu smiling satisfied and bearded from the reflection of the rearview mirror.

Bayu said their destination was not far away, but when it arrived at the palm oil processing plant, Asti already felt the powder he was wearing was getting thicker because of the dust. And like reading what Asti was thinking, Bayu finally made a sound. “It's a long way from the chicken coop.”

Asti chuckles. Even the baby is used to that name.

“It's definitely acceptable?” asked Bayu while circulating his gaze around the factory which looked very arid.

“Not yet,” sahut Asti grimaced.

“I'll wait here. Nothing,” said Bayu sitting on his motorbike. “No stalls. Maybe in the room they have a canteen or the like so there are no employees who roam outside.” Bayu immediately said that because he saw Asti's eyes go around like looking for something.

“Yes, I'm in first. It's not long.” Asti handed his helmet into the arms of Bayu who had pulled out his phone and sat on the motorbike like an ojek driver waiting for customers.

Asti spent almost an hour waiting and talking to the female head of personnel about her skills. When Asti walked out, his shoulders looked down and his look was not as enthusiastic as before.

“Where?” asked Bayu as Asti approached him and immediately grabbed the helmet.

“Do not know how. But my feelings aren't good. People talk too much about things that have nothing to do with work. Yes, look at it later. Now where to? Direct to office?” ask Asti.

“Yes yes dong. I told you earlier. I'll let you know if we go directly there. I also just keinget this morning just before leaving.” Bayu immediately turned on his motorbike and Asti climbed into the splotch with a confused face.

This must have something to do with what Bayu said when driving earlier, Asti's mind. Not wanting to ask more, Asti decides to shut up and follow where her boyfriend went to take her.

They were driving back on the dusty road. Asti didn't ask. He only watched the streets and understood that Bayu was taking him to The Term's office. After entering the yard and greeting two security guards, Bayu took his motorcycle to the left side of the building where the motorcycle parking is located.

“We met am Editor in Chief of this office yes.. interns often call him Mr. Director.” Bayu smile.

(Editor in Chief: Chairman/Manager of both print and digital publications. Usually is the leader/owner/CEO of the media house)

“Mas Bara?” ask Asti while tidying up her thin shoulder hair. His hair felt increasingly limp due to drowning in a helmet and was covered in sweat.

“She's Implementing Editor. Both cool. Not because of his work. For me, they are cool because they get along and can always synergize.” Bayu precedes Asti's move to rush back to the security guard post.

(Executive Editor: The regulator of the publication in a media that reports directly to the Editor in Chief.)

“Pak, Bara mas no yes?” asked Bayu when circulating his gaze looking for the whereabouts of Bara's car and motorcycle that was not visible that afternoon.

“No Mas... mas Bara just came out.” The security guard answered while pointing at the parking lot of the Bara car that looks empty.

Bayu breathed a little relieved because he did not have to bother stringing excuses to sound reasonable in the ears of Bara who painstakingly sniffed info from the mouth of others.

Heru as usual. He would be locked up in his room if he was in it. Asti is still confused about the purpose of following Bayu to Heru's room. Along her footsteps following Bayu, Asti's gaze was fixed on several young people who were gathering at a table. Each of them held a few sheets of paper that they read diligently.

“That's who? Officers too?” tanya Asti grabbed the arm of Bayu who was in front of her.

“That's a new intern.” Bayu arrived in front of Heru's room and directly knocked slowly twice. It sounded authentic from within and Bayu pushed the door inside.

Just then Asti saw Heru was behind his desk full of piles of paper. Heru immediately looked up and smiled widely at him.

“Well here he is again around the nyari work. Bayu just talked this morning. Let's sit down first,” Heru said as he stood pointing at the sofa nearby.

“Please Mas,” reply Asti then sit on his bag. He had begun to feel that Heru would give him a job offer considering the opening sentence Heru had known that they had just gone to deliver a job application in the middle of nowhere.

“Forestry graduation yes As?” ask Heru. Asti immediately nodded enthusiastically. Heru then turned to Bayu who was still standing like he was being set. “You are sitting also okay Bay..” added Heru.

“We are here again there is an empty position. But the advertising (advertising) part. Very contrary to your majors, but I think you deserve a try. You are fresh graduated (new graduates), are in need to try new abilities and apply your basic skills (basic abilities) in a company.” Heru who was busy took his time to greet and talk to Asti.

“Mau Mas—aku want,” Asti reply directly. “How does it work? The main task and function—” Asti then silent closed his mouth. Seen once he was the son of a recent graduate who was hunting for work.

“A strong advertising team can determine financial cash inflows. This section is also sometimes a well-established parameter - at least a publishing/broadcasting institution.” Heru explained a little about the field that Asti will enter.

“An advertiser (advertiser) must understand Indonesian advertising ethics, contract systems, solutions, tricks-tips get ads, advertising marketing methods, designer (designer) advertising and computer applications related to his field.”

“So later, I—eh I related to which part sir?” Hearing Heru's tone that was different from usual, Asti confirmed her seat and looked straight with a serious face.

Heru chuckles slowly, “Advertising will be related to the editor and design/layout (design). All advertising matters related to the editorial section should be discussed first. How's it? Want to try?” Heru seemed to challenge Asti.

“Mau Mas—Pak,” replied Asti enthusiastically. Who is not enthusiastic if it is guaranteed to enter an office led by a known person? Her boyfriend also works at the same place.

“What can you promise me?” tanya Heru then smirked a smile looking at Asti.

Bayu also smiled to see Asti who looked rowdy.

“The promise—will work wholeheartedly with the maximum effort I have.” Asti felt like repeating his words to the personnel he met a moment ago.

“Hahaha—” Heru chuckles. “OK, I keep your promise. Today I can go home. Tomorrow go to work in the morning like other employees, then meet the name mbak Retno. Okay?” Heru then got up from his seat to return to the work desk.

“Siap Sir! Tomorrow start working.” Asti got up and nodded steadily at Heru. “Mmmm—thank you, sir..” Asti looks at Bayu and Heru alternately.

*****

The Term office is crowded in the morning. Several new employees and a group of interns have filled in the empty desks where they started the day by reading the job description (task/job description) shared by Retno.

That day was division. And incidentally Asti was placed in the advertising division which is still under Bara.

Bara was not aware of Asti's presence in the office. Although since then, Asti has been observing Bara to and fro. Bringing paper in and out of the room.

This new period, Bara got 3 apprentices who will enter the criminal division. Two women and a man. Whether unfortunate or lucky for the man, the two female students looked sweet and moved so awkwardly when talking to Maradona.

Bara stood down, flipping some paper over Dona's desk. His eyes focused on the paper. Asti glanced at him a few times. Their position is so close but side by side, it seems also has not awakened Bara. Asti wants to say hello, but he is too shy if there are other employees who see he has connections in his new office. It could be that he damaged the image (image) of Heru who immediately accepted it to work unconditionally.

Bara's still down. The clothes are casual, just in the form of blue jeans and a plain shirt in cream. It seems simple, but it makes it stand out. Coupled with a pair of Caterpillar branded shoes whose soles are thick and heavy, making Bara fail look simple.

“That's Mr. Bara,” whispered one of the interns whose desk was next to Asti's. Only a few steps away from Bara who was looking down.

“His cousin CEO is here,” added a girl. “Ganteng yes..” he said again.

The two girls were observing Bara from up close.

“Iya, handsome. Yesterday did not meet for long because Mas Bara went straight away,” said the girl who started the conversation earlier.

“Marriage date not yet yes..”

“It's not yet. Still young. Really fashionable. Hihihi—” kikik the other girl.

“I was the one who checked this form,” one of the girls got up scooping the form from the table. “You saw how I talked. I want to know. Curious,” whispered again.

Asti turned to prove the girl just now. And it turns out that it is true, getting acquainted with handsome superiors is still a challenge like when on campus. Who first can know or can talk directly into bets and preoccupations. Asti understood the exclamation. But unfortunately, he also wanted to enliven.

Asti got up and went around the table, also took some sheets of paper that had been given Mbak Retno to him.

“I Sherly Pak. It's only been two days. Pak Bara in criminal division section ‘kan?” said apprentice.

Bara raised his face and looked at the petite and sweet female student who was standing in front of him.

“Ehem! Mr. Bara,” Asti said from behind Bara. Instantly Bara turned around and turned to him with a surprised face.

“Eh?” bara said rounding his eyes.

“Known, I'm Asti. Now in the advertising section.” Asti smiled widely.

Bara then laughed. “Start in today?” tanyanya.

“Iya, yesterday I met Heru. Today was immediately told to enter work,” replied Asti.

“I just knew,” said Bara still chuckles.

Asti glanced at the female student who was observing their conversation.

“Mbak Seized healthy? Mima pinter what? Very kangen with Mima my niece.. have not met for a long time.” Asti widened her smile. His eyes twinkled as he mentioned Mima's name.

“Mima again diligently ngoceh kayak mother. By the way (by the way). Welcome to the big family The Term yes...” Bara stretched out his hand to shake Asti.

“Makasi Mas... the end of the week I went home yes..” Asti said later.

“Boleh—by.. awaited,” sahut Bara fast. Heru was indeed great he thought, giving an opportunity to colleagues known to be colonized to start the world of work there. But, Colored is even better, Bara thought. His wife just had to sit at home and receive all the information about what was going on in his office. Especially about the interns. Bara grimacing.

“Pak,” call Sherly who feels ignored for a moment.

“Oh yes!” exclaim Bara then realized. “Hmmm—what was his name? You go directly to Retno or Maradona aja yes..they will help you while in this office.” Bara smiled then nodded at Asti and Sherly and passed from there.

Asti exchanged glances with the apprentice. “Intense handsome ‘kan? Gallant! His wife is so sweet. His son was very quantiiikk. Geez, beautiful anyway..” said Asti shook her head then returned to her desk.
