CONFESSION STONED

CONFESSION STONED
78. Professional Assistance

"Good Morning, sorry to interrupt. I'm Bara" Bara said directly as a woman answered her call.

"I want to ask you, about the Colonized. I found a business card in Widya's name in her wallet. Do you really know Dijah?" ask Bara without a stale base. It is still early in the morning and Bara is looking forward to knowing the connection of being Colonized with the Counseling Institution.

"Where is this from? Police station? Being persecuted again?" ask Ms. Widya.

"Not from the police station. But indeed the Colonized were persecuted again. I'm still in the hospital with the Seized. Earlier today he had just undergone a visa to complete the reporting requirements. In a moment I might be going to the police station with Dijah. But... I haven't spoken a word to you yet. Didn't answer all my questions, I was confused." Bara who was sitting in the iron chair of the hospital hallway, lowered his head massaging his forehead.

"Don't-don't. Don't go straight to the police station. They need more than just lawyers. He's my client. Years ago he was my client. Until now I still often call him to ask the news. Sorry, but who am I talking to?" ask Widya who felt she could not give more information about Dijah. He did not want to break the code of ethics. Whatever the circumstances, to a husband or closest colleague, the story of the patient's disorder should only be told with the permission of the concerned.

"I--" For a moment Bara was confused as to who he was. What does this have to do with the war. It's not nice if he mentions the word girlfriend. "I'm his friend" Bara said at last.

Bara stood up from his seat and walked over to look at the sleeping Dijah curled up in the ER bed.

"Baras, can you take the Sejah to Rumah Aman first? Let the Devils rest. His dealings with the police could follow and be represented with a lawyer. If there is no lawyer, then I will try the staff of the institution."

"Safe House?"

"Yes, Safe House is a temporary residence for victims of violence. It belongs to the government, our institution cooperates with Rumah Aman to provide a container for the calm of victims in undergoing legal proceedings. I'm afraid he'll recover much longer if he's urged at the police station."

"good-good. Okay, Safe House. There are lawyers already. I'll have his lawyer there later." Bara deliberately did not tell about his father to Widya's mother.

If indeed Bu Widya used to deal with Dijah, and the woman said that Seized his former client, Bara felt safe. He didn't have to tell his father anything.

"I wait for this morning soon Mas, Kasian Sejah," said Bu Widya.

"Okay ma'am, I'll take Sejah over there directly this morning. Can you send the address of Rumah Aman via text?" ask Bara.

"Oh well, I'm sending now. If you can, please dress her. If you can.." added Widya.

"Can-can," said Bara quickly.

Bara just washed his face in the hospital bathroom before returning to take care of the hospital administration about the return of the Sejah. With a certificate of visa results, Bara took Dijah out of the hospital. His right shoulder bears a backpack and a Sutured bag simultaneously.

After making sure to follow Widya's advice, Bara called Heru to inform her. Heru promised to ask the lawyer who would come to the police station to represent the Colonized in the meantime.

"Well, I went into your room. I'll take your clothes first. You wait here. I'm not long," said Bara while tidying his hair up behind his ear. He had already lost hope Dijah answered his talk.

Bara rushed into the alley to the boarding house with a key in his hand.

Those costs are empty. It's too early. Only the chicken porridge merchant cart that was in the middle of the courtyard served a buyer.

The bara turned the key and stepped in. The room was cluttered and stuffy as usual. At first glance he imagined what the woman was doing just before meeting Fredy. Quickly he straightened the bottle crate and raised the rice cooker on it.

The closet door opened. Bara saw the wallet where Dijah used to store money is now empty and crammed just like that between piles of clothes.

Bara grabbed a folded cloth bag on the bottom shelf. It was the last bag that the Sejah wore carrying their picnic supplies to the top.

For a moment Bara stood staring at the pile of clothes that were not much. He should not be confused what to bring. Bara took some tops and pants in the top pile. Then his hands fumbled behind the pile of clothes to look for the underwear that was now hidden there.

Bara smiled bitterly. He grasped several pairs of simple underwear with fading colors. Near the pile of clothes was a facial moisturizer and a comb lying around. Bara crammed it into the bag.

And just before coming out of the room, Bara remembered the shoes he had bought, but had never been worn by the colonists. He picked up a pair he liked the most and took it out.

"Where is Mas?" tanya Tini who was suddenly already standing in front of the door. Bara who just had a night full of surprises, a little shock. Fortunately, he did not hit Tini because of his surprise.

"Wednesday sick. Still being treated" Bara replied.

"What pain? Groomed where? We can look, right?" tanya Tini who just woke up.

"Entar if it can be visited. I'm calling ya. Wash your face there! You're like Batman's Joker" Bara said, then walked away.

Tini frowned and rubbed the corners of her lips in turn. His dried up bed spit turned out to extend on both sides of his cheeks.

"Yes already, Mas Bara. The can be left here. Here's my business card, call me if there's anything to ask or coordinate on the case." Bu Widya handed Bara a new business card.

Bara glanced at Dijah who was sitting quietly holding his hand. "Jah.." call Bara. Sejah stared at the room around but his gaze did not stop at Bara.

"Well, I'm staying you're okay here?" ask Bara. Sejah looked down at his fingers that were looking at each other on his lap.

"It's okay Mas" Widya said.

"For a minute, Mom, for a second. I want to talk for a moment," said Bara interrupted Widya's mom. He was not willing to leave the Sejah who did not want to look at him since yesterday.

"Wait, look at me for a second. I'm going home, sorted out. I have a lot of business to do. I want you here, rest. Look at me being colonized." call Bara slowly.

"Later on, be patient... I talked to you first with Sejah." Bu Widya rubbed the back of the Sejah.

"Wouldn't spare me, wouldn't Mom?" bara asked looking at Bu Widya. The one who heard the question increasingly linked his fingers until his books turned white. Bara was unaware of the uneasiness of being colonized for the thing he had just said.

"Hopefully, the Sejah will not forget the memories that feel beautiful. Everyone must be so I feel," said Miss Widya. "Tomorrow can come here to see Sejah to chat. Colored must have been fresher," added Bu Widya.

And Bara came out of the room with another empty feeling in her heart. Feelings of worry and anxiety will be colonized which closes itself by discarding the memories that once occurred between them.

Two days of trying to let the Colonized in the Safe House while tidying up the affairs in the police made Bara's mind a little distracted.

The next morning, Bara brought a bouquet of fresh flowers when visiting Rumah Aman. He hoped that Dijah could come out and talk as usual with him. He misses that woman.

"Mom, every day his duty is here?" bara asked Widya in the counselor's office.

"It depends on whether there are clients from our institution who live here. If anything, like now, I'm here more often. Especially if the client is involved in a legal case."

"Sir Wirya has been here too?" ask Bara.

"Not yet, Mr. Wirya has not been here. He usually takes on heavier clients. That's if we're more junior than him asking for help. Or special cases taken over by Wirya sir. He's been so busy. Does Bara know?" ask Widya.

"My lecturer" replied Bara. I don't know what it means to lie, but he still doesn't want his father to know he's dealing with the counseling agency for the sake of his girlfriend. Bara feels he is still able to live with his problems.

"Welcome how Mom? Do you want to talk?" ask Bara.

"On me? Got any nanya?" Bara waited for Widya's reply with a slight pulse in her heart.

"Yet..." Bu Widya smiled faintly as if to calm Bara's anxiety.

"Can I meet you?" ask Bara. "I want to talk about this..." Bara lifted the bouquet.

"So Sejah advised not to meet anyone. Here's the bouquet I can take, I'll pass it to him." Widya's mom raised her hand asking for the bouquet. The comfort of the trauma patient is the most important thing for him now. Bara held out the bouquet reluctantly.

The seventh day of the Colonized is in the Safe House. He obtained three lawyers to represent him in Fredy's mistreatment case. While Bara is represented by a lawyer and Heru who also holds a law master.

Fredy's family has filed a complaint with police about the persecution. The furious Bara urged police to immediately transfer Fredy into custody, instead of lying in a hospital bed.

Finally, even with chapped lips and a large bandage stuck to his head, Fredy now inhabits his new home. His hospital uniform has changed color. Fredy's sentencing threat could be up to 20 years in prison.

Bara wanted to tell Dijah about it.Walau body was very tired and his head often dizzy because of lack of sleep, Bara returned to the Safe House. Not to forget he came back to the flower shop to buy a bouquet.

"Mom Widya, I'm at the door." Bara told Bu Widya about his arrival by phone. Ms. Widya was inside the Sejah room and chatting with the woman.

"Bara dateng, meet yuk.." invited Bu Widya. He shook his head weakly.

"I put this on," said Dijah. Bu Widya looked at Dijah who was busy and panicked to release something in a hurry.

"Let me help," said Bu Widya then lowered his head to help Dijah.

Bu Widya appeared from behind the door with her distinctive gentle smile.

"Bu Widya, I want to meet Dijah. Can you?" ask Bara.

"I don't think I can." Bu Widya let out a long breath.

"When is Mom?" ask Bara grimly. Bara swallowed his saliva with great difficulty. It seemed like the thing she feared the most would happen.

"Guild leave this," said Bu Widya put a ring on the table.

Bara's blood felt stopped flowing seeing the ring he wore to his Seized finger being returned just like that.

"Cok being gini Mom? Why returned? Didn't want to see me again?" ask Bara who did not dare to touch the ring.

"Maybe he's not ready. Yesterday he muttered in his nap. 'I'm ashamed', Sejah says he's ashamed. Probably the same with Bara. So I think that's the reason why the Sejah avoid. He remembers, but he doesn't want to remember. He prevented himself from remembering Mas Bara. Body Colored strong, healthy. But his soul is fragile. It's been too ruined a long time ago. Like broken glass, Sejah is trying to unite the fragments now. So I hope Mas Bara understands." Bu Widya took the ring and extended it back to Bara.

"Mental illness is often ignored by insensitive people. Less faith and so on. And in fact, the cause of a person experiencing that pressure from his own immediate family. The army has no shelter since. His last defense was his mind. He blocks and sorts out the memories he wants to remember or forget."

"But I want to see Mom, just a moment can't? I haven't seen him in a long time. Just a moment, from the door of his room is also okay. May Ma'am? From far away... I promise I won't take him."

"There will be time for Mas, be patient." said Bu Widya.

And again, that day Bara left a bouquet of flowers to be Sewn into the hands of Widya ma'am.

Bara spent the whole day opening and looking at his photos with Dijah many times. Almost midnight he arrived home. His shoulders weren't as firm as yesterday. His spirit of life seemed to be half left. The rest were taken away by the colonists.

Bara threw his body on the living room sofa. His backpack was just lying on the floor. His head looked up at the ceiling and large decorative lights. The lights in the living room went out. Receive only a small amount of light from the living room lights that are still on.

His memory is returning to the moments he felt were happiest with Dijah and Dul. By then, Bara was almost certain that they would soon become a family. Dul who always obeyed him as if afraid he would leave if the boy did not obey. Bara rubbed his face.

Now the colonists don't want to see him. Don't wanna talk to him. And returned the ring he gave her. His heart feels very sick. I never felt as scared as losing a woman I loved. He wants to be colonized. He wanted that woman very much.

His disappointment fell in the form of tears. In the dimness of the living room, Bara spilled his sorrow with two tears.

"Remain here?" wirya asked as she stepped into the living room and saw her son wiping his face.

Bara did not look. He just looked down and scooped his face so that Mr. Wirya did not see the stupid thing he just did. He cried only because a woman ignored him.

"New home. Still tired," replied Bara.

"The story of Ra.." said Mr. Wirya sitting on a single sofa near his eldest son.

When she heard what her father said, Bara felt her chest tightening. The defense seems to collapse. Bara took a breath and turned to face his father.

"Well... Please Colored. He won't talk to me and meet me. I don't want to talk about me. I'm afraid Dijah forgot. I don't want to be smitten against me. Please Colored... I never thought of kayak gini. I thought I could make it alone. I can't seem to." either." She covered her face with both palms. Bara doesn't want his father to see him cry again. Not only was he colonized, he also felt extremely tormented.

"Where is it now being colonized?" ask Wirya sir.

"At Aman's House, Widya's patient."

"His patient Widya ya-Mmm, tomorrow I take over the case. Dad held it until it was over. Dad's dad time yes... You should also rest. Your mind is kept thinking."

Bara nodded softly at the words of his father. He then got up and grabbed his backpack and walked away from Mr. Wirya.

"Eh Ra, do you have anything you might be able to bring to be colonized? Which has some good memories?" asked Mr. Wirya looking back at Bara.

For a moment I frowned. Then he opened his backpack and pulled out a brown envelope.

"These are pictures of my picnic with Dijah and his son. Sejah has never squirmed this photo," said Bara thrust the brown envelope.

"Okay, I'll be byein..."

Bara nodded. "Makasi Yah.." said Bara.

"Sama-sama," said Mr. Wirya.
