Micahela's phone rang.
“Hai, Juls. What's up?”
“You're home? I need your opinion.”
“Iya. Want to go home?”
“OK. I'm going there, huh?”
“Okee.”
It wasn't until half an hour that Julian had reached Michaela's house.
“Night, Om.” Julian greeted Michaela's father who was relaxing on the porch of his house.
“Mikhaela is waiting for you inside. Go straight in,” reply Bima, father Mikaela.
“Good, Om. I'm in first, huh?”
Julian and Michaela's father's relationship was good. Julian had been Michaela's best friend for many years.
“Sign, Juls. I'm in the dining room.”
Julian immediately stepped into the kitchen and saw Mikaela enjoying her dinner. “Eat, yuk! I made fried rice.”
Julian sat down and directly took the fried rice on the table. He would not reject the cuisine of Michaela which was perfectly suited to his tongue.
“Om Bima does not eat?”
“Papa had eaten outside earlier. So we can spend it.”
A wide smile immediately dyed Julian's face. “Lumayan. Tonight I don't need to shell out for dinner.”
“At least learn to cook, Juls. If you are staying by Marco, you are not displaced.”
“I'd rather trouble you if Marco doesn't exist.”
“Cih! Then, what do you want to tell?” Michaela remembers that Julian's purpose in coming to her house was not to have dinner.
Julian stopped chewing his food. “Something strange happened. You remind me that I applied at one of the universities to continue S3?”
Mikaela nodded. Of course he remembers. Two months ago Julian looked so fiery when he imagined if only he could be accepted at the top university.
“I got an email this afternoon, saying I got a full scholarship. They even provided me with a place to live and pocket money. I never even applied for a scholarship.”
“You have tried to confirm there? There may be an error.”
“Already. And there's no mistake. They actually gave me that scholarship. But ...”
“But what? You're not stupid to reject it, are you?”
Julian laughing. “Do you think I'm crazy? It's just, they asked me to move there tomorrow. They even provided my plane ticket. Weird, right? As if I should leave Jakarta soon.”
“Ah, don't think too much. This is your goal, and it seems like God answered your prayer, even in a way you didn't expect.”
“But what about you? I'm worried about you. Especially about Arka.”
“Ah! No need to worry. I'll be fine.”
“You sure?” Julian looked suspiciously at Micahela.
“You really want to miss this opportunity to take care of me?”
“Ya, no hell.” Julian laughing. For whatever sake Julian would not miss that golden offer. If necessary he would take Michaela with him to make Michaela far away from Arka.
“Then what are you talking about like that!” Michaela throws the crackers at Arka.
“I wouldn't want to be accused of inattention.”
“Then, when will you leave?”
“Besok dawn.”
Julian nodded. “I brought my important stuff first. The rest I asked Marco to bring it later. He'll move in with me.”
“Good then. You won't be lonely there.”
Honestly, Michaela was sad to lose her best friend, but she was happy, because what Julian dreamed of could be realized.
“Tomorrow I'll take you to the airport, yes?” pinta Micahaela. He wanted to say goodbye, even if only temporarily.
Julian nodded excitedly. Of course he would be very happy if Michaela could drive him.
*******
at the airport
“You have to call me every day. And tell me that brat keeps bothering you.”
Julian hugged Michaela and let go of the hug unwillingly.
“And you will directly come here?”
“I will only pray for you to be more steadfast in facing the child.”
Michaela hit Julian hard.
“Aduh!”
“But I'm serious, Mikaela. You have to tell me that she keeps bothering you.”
“Iya, Juls. Focus on your education there. I'll definitely visit you later.”
“Hust! Just be careful if you forget me.”
Julian hugged Michaela once more. “I'm really worried about you, Mikaela.”
Michaela returned Julian's embrace. “I love you, Juls. You're the best friend I've got.”
“And one more, I hope you stop your relationship with that man. He just doesn't want you to be owned by another man. That's why he still keeps tying you.”
Mikaela was silent. Only Julian knew of his forbidden relationship with a married man. A man who was Michaela's first love, but ultimately married another woman by mistake, but was unable to let go of Michaela.
Michaela had tried several times to break away, but the man also had many ways to pull Michaela back into his arms, and all because of something called feeling.
“I'm serious, Mikaela. He doesn't deserve to keep you waiting.”
Michaela still could not say anything. Every time this discussion came up, Michaela could only fall silent.
“Good. I know this is hard. You're an adult too and I believe you know what you have to do. I'm going in first, huh? I'll keep you informed.”
“Safe flights, Juls. Don't worry about me.”
Michaela and Julian eventually split up. Mikaela did not return immediately, but she climbed to the top level of the airport while staring at the row of planes that were ready to take off.
“Goodbye, Juls. I hope someday I will find a way to my happiness too. Like you have found your happiness.”
After half an hour, Michaela immediately continued her vehicle towards the school. Today there are no lessons, but the students will receive their midterm report card which will be given directly to each student.
“Has she gone?”
After all the students received their reports, Michaela exited the class and found Arka standing in front of the class.
“Where did you know?” Mikaela turned her head and looked towards Arka with a suspicious look.
No student knows about Julian's move. The headmaster had yet to announce it because this news was very sudden.
Arka just smiled hearing Arka's question.
“Don't-don't, you?” Michaela immediately thought that Arka was doing all that to keep Julian away from her.
“Now you know that I can do anything, including getting you married to me, right?”
