"Where are you taking me?"
"A place you'll definitely like."
Arka did not care even though Michaela said that she could not belong to Arka. He continued to take Michaela to a hill where he used to release fatigue since he returned to Jakarta.
After the car stopped at a field, Arka opened the door for Michaela and did not hesitate to hold Michaela's hand so that Michaela would follow him.
Michaela did not try to let go of Arka's hand. There would be no point, therefore also Michaela followed the groove that Arka created for the two of them.
Arka's steps stop at a long bench overlooking the valley that already shows its beauty in the afternoon.
He invited Michaela to sit and look at the beauty of nature before them. Arka kept holding Michaela's hand which she placed on her lap.
"I don't care even though you haven't loved me and there's still someone in your heart. I'm not doing all this to accept a rejection. Just tell me I'm crazy, but I know exactly what I want, and all I want is you."
Those words seem crazy. Michaela did not even understand the part of her that made Arka even to this extent. Mikaela was not a very prominent girl figure. It was beautiful, but not that special until a determined man chased after it even when Michaela refused it repeatedly.
Without Michaela noticing, Arka had already pinned a diamond ring on her ring finger.
"Don't ever let go of this ring, no matter what."
The request instantly made Mikaela look towards her finger and made a memory of Michaela present again.
"This ring? How could you know?" Michaela looked at Arka with a question mark.
The ring around her ring finger was the ring that Michaela dreamed of when she was a child. Whoever puts the ring on his finger, eats is the one Michaela will marry. Such was the promise that Michaela made every time Michaela looked at the ring from behind the storefront.
And right now a man she had not expected pinned her down.
Arka said nothing. Arka must have known that the ring she had long kept was Michaela's dream ring. He saw Michaela several times staring at the ring as they played together and passed by the jewelry store.
And Arka promised that one day the ring would circle on Michaela's ring finger and that she would pin it. That promise has been fulfilled.
"You will definitely regret for pinning this ring on my finger." Michaela twirled the ring that looked right on her finger.
"The ring was made for you."
Michaela thought that all this was just a coincidence. It is possible that Arka was the answer to a prayer that Michaela had said before, even in an impossible situation.
"Tomorrow at night I'll take you to dinner with my family."
"Tomorrow nights? That fast?"
"of course. I don't intend to buy time to marry you."
"Are you sure your family can accept me? I'm a lot older than you."
"They won't reject you. Just trust me with everything."
Arka smiled. He could not wait to introduce Michaela to his family, especially before his older brother, the God. Arka was eager to see the look on God's face when she saw that Michaela would be her sister-in-law.
There was nothing Michaela could do but obey Arka's wishes. On the other hand, Michaela was hoping that Arka could save her from the clutches of a man who had made Michaela unable to live her life in peace.
Julian knew of the man's whereabouts, but Michaela never told him how far the man had taken Micahela's life. Julian only knew that the man was a man who kept tying Michaela, even though he had chosen another woman to always accompany his life.
But there was great doubt in Michaela. The man who had been with Michaela was not an indiscriminate person that Michaela could easily leave behind. He had something he could use to threaten Michaela into not being able to leave her.
While Arka is only a child who is still in High School, although his family has tremendous assets and is quite respected as an entrepreneur in Southeast Asia.
"Are you ready?" Arka picked up Michaela at her apartment.
Michaela looked much younger than her age when she was wearing an ivory knee-length dress with a small bando ornament adorning her long hair.
Her tiny body does not show that she is now 23 years old.
"Are you sure?"
Arka just smiled and embraced Mikaela's waist which made Mikaela a little surprised. There was a warm feeling that Michaela felt. No one has ever embraced it this soft.
They walked into the elevator to the parking lot and drove straight towards the main house of the Arka family.
It took a while for Michaela's bagu to muster her courage to welcome Arka's hand waiting for her after opening the car door.
Michaela looked at the magnificent house that she could never even cross.
"Don't be afraid. I won't let anyone hurt you, even if it's my parents."
After taking a deep breath, Michaela finally dared to accept that helping hand and clasped it tightly.
"Trust me. Everything's gonna be okay."
Mikaela nodded. He had no choice but to trust Arka.
"Don't talk the way you normally do. A little mess with me. You should start getting used to it."
"You deliberately took a chance in a narrowness, huh?"
Arka laughing. Of course Michaela's accusation is correct. Were it not for meeting the Arcan family, there would have been no way Michaela would have been friendly to him.
Arka grasped Michaela's friendly hand as she entered the main door and walked towards the living room.
"Good night." A greeting that Arka had never said every time he entered this house. He deliberately said so that all who were busy chatting in the living room realized his presence.
Hearing Arka's greeting, they all stopped their conversation and turned their heads. When Michaela saw the figure of the man sitting behind her turning his head, in an instant the grip of Michaela's hand strengthened. Michaela almost lost her power to stand up.
Michaela who was trying to smile to hide her nervousness was immediately bowed by getting a sharp look from someone there.
"What's wrong? Is there someone you know?" asked Arka right in Michaela's ear while looking at the God who was currently surprised to see the girl Arka brought as his future wife.
That question of course did not need Michaela to answer, because from the beginning Arka had known about Michaela's relationship with her brother, the God.
