I sat down again with my head bowed to the white cloth covering my legs. I moved my face, turned towards Tsubaru who was soundly asleep by sitting leaning against the wall. I lift my legs to the side of the mattress while my feet were moving closer to the door, “Princess, where are you going at night like this?”
I was stunned by glancing towards my arm that had been firmly grasped by it, “I cannot sleep. The sound from the bottom was too noisy,” I said with a glance towards the floor when the sound of laughter was heard a lot of men again.
“It's too late Princess, too dangerous to walk outside,” he said, standing beside me.
“Tsu nii-chan, just stay with me if you are worried,” I said by returning his gaze that was still fixed on me.
Tsubaru sighed before he turned around and sat crouching down to reach for his bag, he went back up with a thick blanket in both of his hands that he pointed at me. I grabbed the blanket before walking backwards as he moved to open the door for me.
I stepped past him as Tsubaru bowed her body. I unfolded the blanket and then I covered my body using the blanket with both my legs that just kept walking forward down the aisle of the ship. I pulled the blanket so tightly that it enveloped my body as the hallway ended which was replaced with the night sky decorating around.
I occasionally pulled my hair that had been blown by the wind before my feet stepped closer to the wooden barrels lined up neatly beside the ship. I climbed into one of the barrels with both of my eyes staring into the darkness that stretched as far as the eye could see. “Did something happen to you, Princess?”
I turned my head towards Tsubaru who had been standing beside me, “many. A lot happened,” I said by again throwing my eyes forward.
I sighed by lowering my gaze back, “nii-chan, have you ever lost faith in someone?” I muttered while remaining down.
“I once,” answered that made me look back at him.
Tsubaru moved to lift his feet next to his hands and opened the shoes he was wearing until they fell to the floor, “aku, lost both toes because of overconfidence in my father,” said Tsubaru, I was silent when my eyes fell on her right leg, which lost her ring finger and her little finger.
“Princess, just say very honestly .. What Princess, can know what I now think?” I immediately replied with a headband.
“What does Princess know, what do I mean?” I shook my head when he asked again.
“How do you feel after hearing it, Princess? Or, what if I say .. I take care of you because of the King's command which I cannot refuse. If I can choose, I don't want to spend my time serving a weak woman who can't protect herself. Are you still going to be okay hearing that, Princess?”
My lips clenched at him still glancing at him who had been sitting slightly in the wooden barrel behind me, “that's what you would feel if you trusted someone too much. That is what you will feel, when your expectations are too high for someone while that person. I'm sorry, which is a little wrong educating you, Princess,” he said with his eyes lowered.
“If only I, always warn you not to trust someone too much .. Princess, will not be troubled like this. However, I think it is not too late .. So Princess, do not trust anyone even if it is yourself, because yourself sometimes give the wrong decision. Don't believe me, I could have betrayed you, right?” he returned to look up his face.
“Tsu nii-chan,” I tapped slowly until she turned her head towards me.
Tsubaru raised his palm close to my head, long before it stopped before he pulled it back when it had not touched my head, “Princess, though I do not know what exactly the Princess was worried about, and I have no right to ask. When the people around you seem to be unappreciated and you are disappointed, you will blame yourself or you will appreciate yourself, it all depends on what you choose.”
“That's life, moving forward or keeping silent by accepting everything. When you are silent, nothing can change from your life, when you are silent. However, walking forward was certainly a risk and not everyone can do it,” he said, who again stopped, I turned to him when the sound of breathing again sounded, “make me your shield, he said, Princesses. Make me your sword .. Because that is what distinguishes a noble from his servant.”
“When your servant's body is injured for protecting you, do not blame yourself, because it will hurt the pride of your servant .. He will assume if he has failed to look after his master. Princess is very clever, so I think Princess will understand what I mean,” continued while moving from the wooden barrel near me.
“Tsu nii-chan, thank you. Listening to you tonight makes me a little aware, if we don't have to rely on the past. I, can already think well back now. Stupid me, wasting my energy on something that would hinder my own goals,” I said as I jumped down from the wooden barrel I was previously sitting in.
I stepped closer to Tsubaru's shoes, grabbed them and walked back to her by putting them near her feet, “I never thought of you as a servant and I as a master, nii-chan, I said,” I said with back up standing in front staring at him.
“For me, Tsubaru is still Tsubaru, Tsu nii-chan is still Tsu nii-chan ... The first man I admired, and even now I still admire him,” connect me while smiling at him.
I turned around and walked away, “I want to go back to sleep immediately, you go back to sleep, nii-chan! Don't ruin your handsome face with less rest,” I said by continuing to walk into the aisle of the ship again.
My footsteps continued to walk forward with one side of my hand moving through my own eyes. I fell silent, my steps stopped staring at the man who had been standing in front of my room, “what is it? Did something happen?” I asked him who had been looking as I walked closer to him.
