Fake Princess

Fake Princess
CHAPTER 121

Is the king alive or dead? Is Riana still a princess, or just need to wait a few days before becoming a queen?

I checked this little room, looking for a way out. However, this cell was as narrow as a dungeon in general. There was no way out of this place other than using magic, and no matter how hard I tried, I could not reach for my magic. Maybe the room was smashed, or maybe Melani put a spell on my body after I fainted outside Bella's house.

For the first two days of—or according to my calculations have been days— I live in endless feelings of fear. Scared for myself, for Devan and Bella. My body trembled in fear, feeling fear gripping me from the moment I woke up until I went to sleep. Is Melani going to kill me, or torture me, or just lock me in this cell until I become an old woman? I don't know, and ignorance is the worst.

But even fear has its limits. Little by little, when nothing had changed, I felt myself beginning to calm down and wait. Melani could kill me while I lay on the ground in front of Bella's house. Melani had already made Omar sick, and killed his own sister. He wouldn't have left me alive if he could. Melani was a careful planner, trying not to leave a trace of her rebellion. For these sixteen years, the only rash action Melani had taken was to send a storm at me. Melani had planned this coup down to the smallest detail. However, not even his careful attitude would be able to prevent him from killing me now, because I know too much.

I mean, unless he wants something. Considering I'm still alive, breaking up, Melani must need something from me. And it gave me a thin thread of hope to hold onto, the only thing keeping me from deep despair.

So I waited. And finally, after two days or four, Melani Enderson came to see me.

“ I'm sorry for locking you up this way, Amelia,” Melani said. “ Even your aunt's house in Treb, I think more luxurious than this place.”

Melani wore a simple dark blue dress, her hair rolled over her head like a crown. However, even her dress did not look as misplaced as her voice. Her voice was so sweet that you wanted to drown in it and never come out again. I forced myself not to move, struggling not to fall into his spell.

Melani raises her shoulders, a gentle gesture that covers the hard stance that lies behind her appearance. “ Even so, this is the only room in Puri Sare that can prevent you from using magic to escape, so what else can we do?”

I exhaled out loud. “ Puri Sare? Shouldn't you name it Feidhelm Castle?”

I saw her neck move as Melani gulped, but other than that she didn't seem to hear me. Melani was watching me and I, realizing that my appearance must have looked very sad after spending some days and nights in this place, was forced to resist the urge to sit upright. “ Amelia, actually it doesn't need to be like this.”
