Not Children Again
Gani receives a phone call, after finishing performing the ashar prayer, while his Azam—, whining because it starts to get sleepy. He should be on his father's lap if he's going to sleep.
The man attached the phone to the ear, after Azam was in his lap for the boy to fall asleep quickly. This habit arose since he lived in the house of in-laws and began to be close to his son. Gani shook his body left and right, until his baby fell asleep.
Gani accidentally invites Azam who has stopped drinking milk with the bottle, to come with him, after the divorce with Asthma occurred. He can indeed separate from his wife, because the woman is already very guilty but, he does not want to part with his only child.
Gani took that attitude because he thought, Azam every day was not taken care of by Asthma so, it is better to follow him wander. Moreover, he only intends to become a palm oil farmer in his brother's garden, of course, free to invite his son to work as well as know nature.
However, after he worked as a hotel manager owned by his best friend, he still took the child to work unless, indeed, there is an important agenda or other troublesome events, then he left the child to Lia, Lia, wife Algizali.
“What's up, Alti?” Gani asks after saying her greetings, she panics at hearing her sister's crying voice, across the phone.
“Emak fell from the bathroom, Bang! Now I'm with Bang Alpin again in the hospital, Mom fainted!”
“Is anyone injured, or bleeding?” Gani said as she held back her anxiety and panic, hearing her mother enter the hospital. He had already lost father without being able to see for the last time, this time he did not want to lose the same opportunity.
“Bloody wounds anyway, no .. just fainted, do not know why. Last time Bang Algi could not be contacted, so I called bang Gani aja!”
“Perhaps again in the garden, no signal!”
“Yes already, anyway one of you should go home, I'm afraid if there's anything with Mom!”
“Yes, hopefully Mom is okay, I think I'm going home, after a year I haven't seen Mom!”
“Pick home, yes Bang!”
“Yes, you can't hurry, you can't take your own plane there!”
“Ih, Bang Gani is still joking!”
The phone closed after they said hello and encouraged each other. Gani immediately looked for a ticket sales application and immediately made a transaction, then, he contacted his friend who became the Boss at the hotel and restaurant where he worked, to ask for permission to go home.
Gani only got permission for one week, even so he remained grateful, because the time given was enough if only for, look and release the longing for the mother.
The next day, in a different place, Usfi was busy packing, he was indeed planning to go home, by taking the most flight schedule this morning, around six o'clock, over fifteen minutes.
Already several times Ima—unya, calling and expecting his presence, during the event tasyakuran in order khaul or commemoration of the establishment of the foundation madrasah ibtidaiyah owned by Sholeh which will be held the day after tomorrow.
“Nggak, Bang .. right, he dah if early in the morning busy working in oil palm plantations pity if you have to nganterin, I have ordered a taxi online really, make it to the airport!”
“Greetings to Abah Ambu, Vi! Bring this from Teteh!” said Lia while giving a paper bag.
“Thank you, Tea!” Usfi received the parcel and immediately left after his pickup car came, it was still a little dark because the dawn had just passed. Usfi does not want to be late.
Arriving at Pontianak Airport, Usfi got off the car he rented after paying, he was grateful that there was still time before leaving. It means he's not late.
He put his jacket on his way to check in, while the voice of a woman at the airport announced his airline's departure.
While outside, although the sun began to propagate up, but the air temperature is not as warm as the light.
Usfi chose to close his eyes, after putting a bluetooth headset in his ear, to listen to the murottal recitation of Al Qur’an. He took advantage of his two-hour flight time to, get the same reward by reading it live.
Coincidentally Usfi got the seat number by the window, he opened his eyes as he felt a movement that signified when someone else would be sitting next to him.
How surprised he was when he saw a man who was also staring at him.
“Bang Gani ..?” Sluggishly.
“You're Oon, right?” said Gani, who quickly mastered his surprise, sitting down, having placed Azzam first among them. The man looked so patient and painstakingly taking care of the little boy who looked still sleepy.
He canceled the last flight of the afternoon, as it was impossible to prepare all the Azzam needs he had to carry, within a few hours.
So, the decision to delay departure was the reason for fate to reunite them.
“Bang, don't call me that from now on, we're not kids anymore!” usfi said with a frown.
“Hmm ...” muttered Gani slowly, while putting the plane's seatbelt, on his son and also on himself.
Usfi was surprised by Gani's answer that seemed indifferent. Not usually his childhood friends were so, during their association, Gani was always talkative, friendly and funny. But what he saw this time was, a flat face that was even impressed did not care.
There were so many questions in the girl's head, let alone looking at the little boy beside her. He was the same kid he saw yesterday, while attending a seminar invitation at a hotel.
