Mount Pulosari Part 1 - #14

Around seven in the morning, Uswah siuman. We were treated very well by the villagers. Many of them came and gave us food. In fact, we are not allowed to drive a motorcycle. One of the village officers drove us to our homes. While my motorbike was transported by pickup car.

On the same day, Mount Pulosari landslide. The local government then officially closed the climbing route to the mountain. Om Bobi, who is none other than Mira's Om is very angry with me. In fact, he took the case to court. He thinks I'm negligent in looking after Mira.

Fortunately, I was free from prosecution because I was among the victims who were lost on the climb. There's no hard evidence that I hurt, not even let Mira do any harm. The stubborn Om Bobi instead intends to climb Pulosari in search of Mira. He was not willing to lose the person he already considered to be his own child.

After the mountain, I was traumatized. I often stay home. I didn't think I was alive. If only my name wasn't Tubagus, I might have died on that mountain.

No word on Mira's search. Other climbers are also missing. Although the SAR team has tried, but until now the search has still not yielded results.

I know that Mira is still alive there. He is side by side with the jinn. And, I'm sure the spirits of Eldi and Riki are also trapped there. They died unsettled. I didn't expect a small carelessness could be so fatal.

Even though I managed to get out of the mountain, but nightmares about the mountain often come to me. In my dream, I met Mira. He looks very happy and has fifty children.

I always told him to go home. But, he still doesn't want to. In my dream I met Eldi. He became the slave of the mountain jinn. I saw him working to break up large rocks using a big hammer. If he was tired and stopped then the figure of a creature with a tongue sticking out to the ground would whip Eldi's back. I cried seeing him like that.

I also met Riki in a dream. What happened to him was very different. I saw his spirit all day and night always sitting under a big tree. His face was empty, his face was sad. In fact, he was still wearing a jacket and a mountain bag. In that dream I greeted him.

“Riki!” my broom.

He didn't answer. Not even a little.

Suddenly there was saliva dripping into my hands from above the tree. I'm looking. On the branch of a large tree, there was a female figure whose body might be as big as a buffalo. He was wearing a red robe, his face black, and saliva dripping from his mouth.

The figure of the woman then stretched out her long hair. He wrapped around Riki's neck with the hair and then lifted her up onto the tree. I reached for Riki's body, but to no avail. He became a toy of tree-dwelling creatures. Riki was admired by the creature. His smelly and sticky saliva soaked Riki's face.

Those nightmares keep coming almost every night. In fact, I've seen climbers whose spirits become herds of monkeys. They ran from branch to branch of another tree. Of all the dreams I can conclude that the climbers on Mount Pulosari who did not survive will become slaves of the genie there.

One afternoon, while I was in the window, someone knocked on the door. I'll open the door immediately.

“Ori!”

I was shocked to see the man standing in front of me. He's Om Bobi. Unwelcome to enter, he broke through and immediately sat down on the sofa. Something strange about his appearance. It was like going up a mountain. He also had an air rifle in his right hand.

“What's up, Om?”

“Company me up to Pulosari to find Mira,” the door.

Seriate...
