Horror Story
Mount Pulosari Part 1 - #12

To be honest, I had never believed in the existence of subtle creatures before. To me the stories of demonic apparitions and the confessions of those who saw them are big lies. In fact, I wrote some horror stories that led to the assumption that the story was just fiction so that people were not afraid of the devil.

But, all my principles were lost when I climbed Mount Pulosari. I became very sure that the supernatural beings did exist. They peek in the ear even if we don't hear them. They sit next to us even if we don't realize it. Or, even sleep with us every night.

That afternoon incident led me to believe that subtle creatures do exist. When Uswah and I were about to leave Curug Putri, there was a group of people carrying a coffin. I was astonished too. Why is there a cemetery on a mountain like this?

Apparently, the corpse in the coffin was Eldi. He died with a bloodied face. When I approached, the pallbearers just disappeared. I know they must be genies. I just saw that sighting.

A moment later, the Curug Princess glowed emitting a golden light. I closed both my eyes with my palms. Then the horse-drawn carriage approached. The train was carrying a beautiful woman who had helped me a few days ago.

The horse-drawn carriage was escorted by many people. The bodyguards are big like bodybuilders. They are also fully dressed like royal soldiers in Indonesia in the past as I have seen in the movies. They all carried spears. Uswah and I panicked to see the strange event.

When we were about to escape, the path was gone. The horse carriage door opened as if allowing us to enter it. I shook my head while grasping Uswah's arm so he wouldn't be affected.

Unfortunately, what I'm worried about is happening. Uswah's gaze suddenly blank. He slowly approached the horse carriage.

“Uswah, no!” I tried to hold her body. But, the two carriage guards instead pushed my body.

This time I will not lose my friend. I owe him my life. I have to save her. After Uswah entered, the horse carriage slowly walked towards the light coil. I followed him from behind. I screamed for Uswah's name.

I don't feel like I'm in a community. The citizens there kneeled down while bowed as the carriage passed by. In the middle of the journey, there was suddenly a small child whose body was covered in black feathers. It also fanged. His eyes were bright red. The boy approached the car while jumping around in excitement.

Among the people kneeling, there was Mira there. He screamed as he ran towards the boy. He held her, then went back to his knees. Mira's clothes are different. He only wore a brown floral pattern and a worn-out gray shirt.

“Mira! Mir! Ah.. thank goodness the cave met you again here. Come on, Mir, let's go home. There's a Curug Putri around here,” obviously I'm happy to see Mira back.

“No, Ri. The cave has said, the cave life is happier here. Please tell Om cave that the cave is married and has children.”

Set me up in a magnificent palace. There are palace ladies who welcome the arrival of the horse carriage. They dance while smiling. I entered the palace.

In the palace courtyard, Uswah got off the train. I tried to get to him, but my steps were blocked by the guards. Uswah was led by the beautiful woman to a small pond located right in front of the throne.

Uswah stripped her clothes and bathed in the small pond. The woman called the queen turned her head towards me. Two guards then grabbed my arm. They dragged me by force to get close to the queen.

All my clothes were stripped. I was forced to take a bath in that little pool. When we finished, Uswah and I put our clothes back on. We were taken to a beautiful room. There are various delicious dishes prepared. The Queen told us to sit down and eat together.

There is no other choice, I have to obey him. Otherwise, the guards behind me could have slashed my neck. The food served feels good. There are grilled chicken, goat bolsters, fresh fruits, as well as other foods.

Try to eat with gourmand. No chatter at the dinner table. The Queen looked at me while smiling kept making me. But it makes me creep more.

After the meal was over, the Queen took us to the palace grounds. There were ladies in the shower. They're all pretty. As I passed by, they stole a look at me while laughing a little.

In the courtyard of the palace was a cemetery. The mounds are neatly arranged with stacked rocks. On the tombstone is inscribed Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin. I remember, he was the founder of the Banten sultanate.

“Berziarahlah..” said the Queen.

Uswah and I sat beside the grave. I read my prayers as much as I can in my heart.

“You have until tomorrow morning to get out of this mountain. Come home, tomorrow morning there will be a big landslide on this mountain.”

The queen pointed towards the wall. From the wall there is a path. Uswah and I walked towards the wall. Miraculously, we were suddenly on a path. This must be the way home. We have to get out of this mountain before the landslide happens.

Seriate...
