Mount Pulosari Part 1 - #4

After going through the thickets, I finally saw a hut house. The building seems abandoned. His room was covered in wild plants. It was a little hut that was originally made into what place.

In front of the hut were two mounds of earth like a grave. However, I can't be sure if the mound is indeed a human grave or not.

The door of the hut no longer has hinges. Mr. Jaro shifted the door and let us in. Eldi and Riki went into the hut. While I was standing at the door with doubt. How can I trust someone I just knew? I was very suspicious of the old man.

“Why you?” ask Mr. Jaro.

I'm silent. My eyes looked at the weathered hut.

“Same suspicion with me?” Jaro looked at me sharply.

“Ri, come on in!” Eldi tilted his head. He's pissed off.

“What do we want inside, sir?” I was curious and suspicious at once.

“There is a ritual that you must do as a form of apology.”

“Don't worry, Ri. Just come in,” this time Riki persuaded me.

I hesitated to step into the hut. There is nothing inside. The hut is just wet ground. Mr. Jaro asked us to circle. He then closed his eyes, took a deep breath, then muttered reciting the incantation for some reason. I can't hear it clearly.

“Your friends are qualified. You will also be affected. Tonight, you have to stay here. I will perform a ritual at Curug Putri so that all of you are safe.”

“How about my girlfriend, Sir?” asked Eldi with a worried face.

“Later after the ritual, she must have returned.”

The night is getting late. Mr. Jaro from this afternoon left us in this hut. We all roll out the mats and turn on the LED canting lights. Eldi and Riki slept soundly. While I'm not at all sleepy. My mind is creeping everywhere.

After a while, I smelled the fragrant oil pouring out to fill the hut room. I woke up sniffing my nose. Where does the smell of this oil come from?

I followed the source of the smell leading out of the hut. I shifted the room door. Outside a woman in a blue jacket. He was wearing levis pants sitting on a mound of dirt. He was dressed like a climber.

“Who are you?” my many.

He looked at me. The woman got up from her seat.

“Go home,” said. His look was sharp on my face.

“Go back?” I frowned.

From inside the hut suddenly came a noise. Soon I'll be back in. I was very surprised when I realized that Eldi was not in his bed. Iwake Riki. Still drowsy, he put his glasses back on.

“Why, Ri?”

“Eldi to where?” i'm panicking.

“Hah? Wasn't it here?” Riki asked back.

I heard the sound of the procession from a distance.

“Come, Ri!”

Riki's awake. He rolled up his mat and put it in a bag. I'll pack up soon too. We immediately rushed out.

From a distance, a group of people carrying torches can be seen. Me and Riki followed them. We broke through the thickets. The closer to the party, the clearer I saw that there was an Eldi among them. He marched while holding a torch. I don't know where they're going.

“Eldi..!” I shouted while continuing to approach him.

When I got close to the party, I tried to pull Eldi's arm. But he pushed me and continued to follow the group. I fell into the bushes. Riki helped me to wake up. I'm going after Eldi again. However, Riki held my arm.

“Why, Rik?”

“He's not, Eldi.”

“Lu said what the hell. That's our friend, Rik. He wants to be taken by the devil!”

“Better we just go, Ri. Here danger.”

“Lu how is it?! Becus is not a guide?!”

I'm upset. Kutepis his hand grip. The group is getting away.

Regardless of Riki, I chased after the group. They stopped at the edge of the ravine and sat down there. Only Eldi stood up. He stepped slowly to the edge of the abyss.

“Eldi, don't!”

Unable to reach his body, Eldi plunged himself into the abyss. My breaths panting. I pulled a flashlight into the ravine to find Eldi's body. But, the abyss was too deep. I can't find Eldi.

“Ri let's go!” Riki called me from far away.

The group of men who were sitting preceptively around looked at me with sharp glances. They seem angry at me. Soon I leave that place.

We continue the journey. This area is not very safe for us. If we wait for Mr. Jaro, I'm sure something bad will happen to us.

“Where are we going, Rik?”

I'm so scared. It all messed up that night.

“Ke crater.”

“Ngapain to it?” I stopped stepping.

“We have to find the Mira. The cave saw Eldi plunge into the ravine. We'll find him too. If you're dead, at least we have to find the body.”

“Begini, Ri. In the crater must be a lot of people. We'll ask them for help.”

I'm silent. There was also a point in what Riki said.

We walked for two hours. I don't know why I feel like we're getting lost. There is no path that becomes a climbing route. Unfortunately, we went back to the hut again. I sit limp on the ground. Riki shook his head. We were really being played by the demons that night.
