Chapter 18 - Talisha Assailed

Talisha got out of the elevator with a breath of frenzy, she turned her head to the right and left looking for a way to escape from the masked criminals.

Shortly afterwards the man got out of the elevator as well, both of them were on the same floor.

Talisha ran towards the stairs, he went down by running. The man continued to chase after himself until he fell.

Talisha stood up by sticking her hand on the wall. Trying his hardest to run even though he was very tired.

"Please!" She screamed with tears.

The man slowly approached Talisha who was already sitting on the floor with a knife.

"I beg you, don't!" Talisha knelt down with her hands.

The tip of the knife was now in Talisha's jaw.

"What's my fault?" He asked as he looked at the man before him with trembling and frightened lips.

The masked man did not answer, but raised a knife and was ready to stick it.

Talisha lowered her head and closed her eyes.

"Stop!" Shouted Ezaz.

Talisha raised her head hearing her husband's voice, there was a feeling of relief in her heart.

The masked man looked back then ran away from Talisha.

Some of Ezaz's men are after the masked criminal.

Ezaz ran up to his wife and helped her up.

"He wants to kill me, Zaz!" Talisha said with trembling.

Ezaz hugged his wife. "I'll protect you!"

Talisha poured her tears in her husband's arms.

Talisha was still in bed, she had fainted from shock. Ezaz remained beside him waiting for his wife to come to her senses. Melia contacted him many times.

Talisha slowly opened her eyes, Ezaz smiled in relief.

"Zaz..."

"Don't move, what do you need let me get you?"

"Has that man been caught?"

Ezaz shook his head.

"It was like my dream" Talisha said.

"Dreams?"

"Yes, these few months that dream always appears. I'm so scared, Zaz." Talisha again shed tears of anxiety.

Ezaz clasped his wife's hand. "Don't worry, you're safe with me!"

Talisha's parents came to see her daughter after hearing the news that Bram did not miss either.

Talisha hugged Lidya, "Mama!" when they arrived at her husband's house.

"What's going on?" Lidya stroked her daughter's hair.

"Someone stopped the taxi I was riding when I was going to the restaurant for lunch" Talisha said. "Then the man forced open the door and he forcibly pulled my hand and took me to the old building" she said, again tearfully.

Ezaz could see his wife was deeply traumatized by the incident.

"Grandfather won't let the man go free!" Grumpy Bram.

"Pa, that guy is very dangerous. It could have been our target, he was us" said Lidya.

"I don't care about you, it's important to me that my grandson's safety" Bram said.

"That girl is not my granddaughter!" Answer Bram.

Radit clenched his hands, it felt like he wanted to beat up the elderly man.

Ezaz pulled the corner of his lips looking at his annoyance in-law.

When his wife's family came home, Ezaz brought Talisha back to his room. They slept together, he did not want to leave the woman alone.

Talisha daydreamed more, looking at the room sky once in a while her tears trickled down.

"Lisha!" Ezaz.

Talisha looked to the side.

"Everything will be fine" he said.

"No, Zaz. Before the man got caught I couldn't calm down, a lot of people were trying to hurt me."

"Many people? Meanin?"

"Five years ago, I almost died of poisoning" replied Talisha.

"You know who poisoned him?"

Talisha shook her head.

"So you think someone wants to harm you again?"

"It seems like yes," Talisha replied again. "Last year, I've always had bad luck. My career was ruined, my efforts were unsuccessful, I was forced to marry you and almost killed" he said.

"What's my fault, Zaz? So they wanted me dead" looked at her husband's face with watery eyes.

Ezaz, who was still sitting, stroked his wife's head and kissed her forehead. "You're not wrong, I'll try to take care of you!"

"Thank you, Zaz." Talisha smiled faintly.

"Sleep!" Ezaz calmed his wife.

Talisha nodded slowly, before long she fell asleep.

Melia waited for her lover in the restaurant with a pouting face. Shortly after, Ezaz arrived.

"Why have you been so hard to contact since yesterday afternoon?" his protest.

"Talisha was in severe shock" Ezaz replied.

"Now you are very attentive with him" Melia said.

"He's in danger, someone wants to harm him" Ezaz said.

"Why doesn't he just disappear from your life?" Melia looks dirty.

"What are you talking about, Melia?"

"Because he's got less attention, you left me alone in the restaurant just to save him. I suspect, don't you really like it?" the accusation.

"Melia, she's currently in a slump. Is there no empathy in your heart?"

"I hate him so much for taking you from me!" answer Melia.

"Why are you so selfish, Melia?" Ezaz.

"I hate you!" Melia stood up and left her lover.
