Chapter 58: Honest

"Black," call Red.

Black watched. They have finished their meetings and continue their activities. Black was about to communication at that time.

"Why?" Ask Black.

"When the meeting was over, why were you quiet? Did something bother you about my story?" Red asked back.

"He noticed me as it turned out," Inner Black. He took a deep breath and looked at Red.

"Come with me. I'll tell you why I was quiet, "take Black and walk with Red.

He's turning the direction of going up the electrical. In a tower that serves to stop sabotage. Black sat on the floor of the tower, followed by Red.

"It's going to be a secret for both of us, so I hope you can keep this a good one" Black said. Red nodded.

Back when Black was still in Mira HQ

It's midnight, but Black's still holding out in his office. Accompanied by a cup of coffee, he noticed the doorlog. His eyes were already tired, but there was something that made him have to be on guard tonight.

"Hooaamn..." Black yawns wide.

Suddenly a call came in from Polus. Black sat up straight and raised the call. On the screen of his monitor appeared Professor Andromeda who looked terrified.

"Black, this is critical" Professor Andromeda said fretfully.

"Why? You look scared" Black commented.

"Zero, he's going to kill me" Andromeda replied in shock.

"Calm down, try to tell me what's really going on" Black said. He knew that the two Professors had never given Mira HQ a real report. Such a thing is also unknown to him.

"He was infected with the creature we were studying. I isolated it and tried to get the creature out, but I couldn't. He seemed to be controlled by the creature and now he wants to kill me" Andromeda explained frantically.

Black opened his mouth, about to say something. But suddenly...

JLB!

Black surprised. Blood came out of Andromeda's forehead until it splashed onto the monitor screen. Professor Andromeda froze and fell. Behind him was Professor Zero who was already wearing long-sleeved green clothes.

Professor Zero's stomach opened and formed a mouth filled with sharp teeth. He also used something extending from his stomach to stab Andromeda in the head. It was like a thin but sharp tongue.

He pulled the tongue in and his stomach closed again. His eyes were green and his body looked pale. He smiled at Black and approached the computer.

He attached his thin, sharp-nailed hand to the blood attached to the monitor screen so that his hand stamp was formed.

Black quickly shuts down communication with Polus. His heart was beating with fear. Body shakes. He was shocked again when he saw the SOS code of The Skeld 301.

Black contacted The Skeld, but the call was not connected due to a signal. He tried five times, but nothing.

He stood up and ran to the admin. Black checked the radar and his breathing was blocked. The Skeld 301 is missing from radar.

FLASHBACK OFF

Red surprised. He could not comment anything. The two of them were silent and there was only the sound of snow crossing the area.

"So, from the beginning you knew all this?" Red asked after a long moment of silence.

"Yes," Black replied briefly without turning his head.

"But why didn't you report that to Mira HQ?" Red asked in a disappointed tone. He thought that had Black reported that, surely none of this would have happened.

"The result will be the same. But differently, we won't meet" Black replied, staring at Red.

"What do you mean?" Red did not understand.

"Years ago, I made it into the Mira HQ archive room. It was a place that was heavily guarded by them. There I found a lot of shocking data on Mira HQ related to this mission" Black explained. He paused for a moment to scoop up the snow and then he compacted it into a ball shape.

"In one of the documents, I found there were a lot of missing person cases in Mira HQ. Scientists, guards, and communications officers like me. They suddenly disappeared and until now unknown whereabouts. Worse, they did not continue the search and immediately stopped after one week. It's like someone forced them to stop."

"That sounds really weird. But doesn't that have nothing to do with this mission at all?"

"I haven't finished the story. Before I made it into that place, I met one of those missing. But he is in a sickly condition and is being treated by Nevi. He told me why he could be like that. But unfortunately after that, he died from his injuries."

Black threw the snowball against the wall until it was destroyed. Red was still staring at him.

"He said he was tortured by a group of people who seemed to still be in contact with Mira HQ. They tortured him after he told about the deaths of the scientists sent here. It was from this that I found out about their secret," Red was surprised to hear that.

"Wait a minute, they've sent scientists here?" Ask Red.

"Don't I say it? Or not yet? (Author forgot) But now I'm sure you know which way to go" Black replied.

"Does that have anything to do with my vision?" Ask Red.

"I think so too. But I'm still wondering about you who felt you were there" Black said.

"It feels like someone gave me this memory" Red continued, watching his hands.

"OK, back to my original explanation. I'm sure you understand my reasoning."

"Yes, I understand very well" Red replied, turning his face away. He began to imagine if it happened.

Red begins to feel disappointed by Mira HQ's decision. He also felt sorry for the Scientists and Crewmates who were victims.

"But why am I the only one you tell?" Ask Red. He knew exactly what Black was like.

Black stood up, "I just believe you," he replied and walked away from Red.

Red scrunched his forehead then left as well and parted at the intersection. They went back to their own rooms.

Black continues his investigation. Red lay down and began to think of Black's words. Now he realized how mysterious that person was.

A DUG!

"Akh!" Red sat down and grabbed his own head. The pain attacked him again.

This time another vision appeared. Red looked at himself sitting on the bed from the corner of his lower room. Red was surprised and opened his eyes and looked at the small hole in the corner of his room.

His heart was racing and his breathing was wheezing. He started to sweat cold and felt uncomfortable. She felt a bit traumatized by what happened to her a while ago.

Without further ado, Red came out of his room and locked him up. After that he ran to Black's room and knocked on his door.

Black who was thinking hard, was surprised to hear that knock. He hid his things and opened the door. Red's pale face stood before him.

"You why?" Black asked worriedly at the sight of his friend's face that was not drained by blood.

"Black, can I stay in your room? I got another vision," said Red.

Black is surprised, "Come," and lets Red in.

That day, Red stayed in Black's room until he felt calm. He started to feel strange about the place.
