The Three Chosen

The Three Chosen
246. Ning And Janisa

That day Jaya continued to work as usual. Ning also reminded her husband to come home early because he needed money to pay the debt at the stall.

“ Did You payday today Mas. Go straight home, don't stop by anywhere first. Ms. Icih had rambled mulu just now, I'm not going to be good..,” said Ning that morning.

“ Yes Ning, you do not have to worry..,” suhut Jaya while kissing Janisa, the girl in her lap.

But these few days Janisa's behavior is a little strange. In addition to being fussy, Janisa also often calls the father if he is crying. Although a bit anxious but Ning tried to understand.

“ Papa..., Papa..” call Janisa while tinkering Jaya who is about to leave for work.

“ Papa go first yes Darling, Janisa same Mama at home..,” bujuk Jaya.

“ Ga..., Papa..., Papa....,” said Janisa while gripping the strong collar of clothes worn Jaya.

After persuading in various ways, Jaya finally escaped from Janisa's grip. Jay left in a hurry. Before leaving Jaya had looked at Ning and her son and smiled.

“ I love you guys, always and forever.” Jaya said with a smile.

“ Yes, I love you too. Be careful, Mas, do not forget to pray.” said Ning with a blushing face.

Jaya nodded and left. Ning did not expect that it was the last sentence that Jaya said to her.

In the evening Ning paced back and forth on the porch of the house while occasionally looking towards the front alley of the house hoping that the husband returned with the money he promised earlier. But until far night Jaya did not return. Until a few days later Jaya did not also show the trunk of her nose. Ning was getting annoyed and embarrassed. Lucky the mother got a windfall so that she could help him pay the debt at the stall Icih bu.

While Ning was at the stall, Ning's mother sat down to accompany her granddaughter inside the house. The door opened by itself to make Ning and Janisa's mother turn around at the same time. There was nothing there and Ning's mother looked back at the television screen. While Janisa seemed to laugh happily while soaring happily.

“ Papa..., Papa uwang.., Papa nini...,” said Janisa with a lisp while patting the empty spot next to her.

Mother Ning was surprised and felt if her hair bristled when she heard Janisa's words earlier. Especially the grandchildren

looks chattering merrily with ‘language planet’nya it. Ning's mother grew more anxious when she saw Janisa standing up and then ran to the room while calling her papa repeatedly.

“ Janisa here Son, Where are you going.?” ning's mother asked as she grabbed Janisa then carried her and carried her away from the room.

“ Granny.., Papa. There's Papa in nana...,” said Janisa to surprise Ning's mother.

“ Ga there Papa there Darling, Papa Janisa will be working again.” said mother Ning.

“ There is Papa in Nana Grandma..” Janisa said repeatedly and then cried loudly.

Suddenly Mother Ning felt a gust of wind pass in front of her along with a foul scent that burst forth to make Mother Ning hold her breath for a moment. A moment later the door of the house opened and closed by itself as if someone had just opened and closed the door.

Janisa was crying harder to make Ning run away to the house. Ning immediately grabbed Janisa from her mother's sling and took her out of the house.

“ At that time I hope that my guess is wrong Mas, but in fact all true..,” said Ning's mother as she rubbed her hardened tears on her face.

Ning, who was sitting next to her mother, seemed to be trying to remember the premonition she had received when Jaya never returned and gave her news.

Ning remembered that he always woke up in the middle of the night. Jaya's moaning voice behind her head made Ning wake up. When she looked, Ning saw nothing. Though Ning clearly felt Jaya's hand just hugging her body tightly.

Until one night Ning who was accompanying Janisa slept accidentally saw a shadow passing in front of the door of the room. Ning smiled thinking that the shadow was Jaya.

“ Mas..., You have come home. Mas...,” call Ning.

Not wanting to wake Janisa who had just fallen asleep, Ning got out of bed and tied up

original hair. Then Ning went to the living room and saw Jaya sitting down while looking down.

Jaya just kept quiet and did not answer until it made Ning wrong. Especially at that time Ning felt if the aura in the room was a little different, it felt gripping and much colder.

“ Mas...,” call Ning soft while touching Jaya's hand.

Ning was surprised when he touched Jaya's cold hand. Ning thought that her husband was cold from the night air and intended to go to the kitchen to make coffee.

“ I made coffee first yes Mas..” said Ning with an erratic beating heart.

But when Ning stepped into the kitchen Jaya was heard saying something that made Ning's hair bristling.

“ Don't Ning, I can't drink your coffee anymore. Sorry for all my mistakes Ning. And please take good care of our Child, educate him to be a child who sholehah..,” said Jaya.

“ You told me to take care of Janisa alone Mas, good. Our obligation to take care and educate him, not just Me Mas..,” Ning protest.

“ I also want it is Ning, but what power. I can't do it..” sahut Jaya in a soft voice.

Ning also frowned hearing Jaya's words that felt more distant. When Ning turned his head, he did not see anyone there. Ning was fixated on staring at the chair where Jaya was sitting and disappeared it with a raging feeling. For a while Ning remained in such a position. Janisa's crying voice resuscitated Ning to make her rush to the room to meet her son.

While gently patting Janisa's back, Ning glanced towards the wall clock and was surprised to see the clock showing two o'clock in the morning.

“ What this means is that you have left. Have you forsaken me and Janisa forever. O Allah.., if indeed Mas Jaya has passed away, please give me certainty. Please tell me where the grave is..,” muttered Ning while crying resignedly.

That night Ning passed by crying while hugging Janisa tightly. Prayers continued she chanted so that she could immediately find out the whereabouts of her husband.

Now the cry of Ning filled the room again. Ning's prayer was answered. She had just heard about the news of her husband's death from Iyaz and Izar. Ning tried to suppress her crying but failed. Janisa, who was in her lap, slumped down and walked closer to Iyaz and Izar.

“ Papa..., Papa...” call Janisa while staring at the spirit of Jaya who is behind Iyaz and Izar.

“ Yes Son, your father is here..,” whispered Izar as he grabbed Janisa into his arms.

Hearing Izar's words made Ning and her mother surprised. The two stared at each other for a moment and turned towards Izar.

“ What Mas Jaya is here.?” asked Ning with a trembling voice.

“ Yes...,” sahut Iyaz and Izar together.

“ Please tell her don't bother Janisa anymore. Kasian he's a kid. Let Janisa live a normal life without the shadow of her Papa. Simply look away from far away but do not disturb Janisa..,” Ning pinta while crying.

Understanding Ning's request, Iyaz and Izar nodded. Then Iyaz and Izar help Jaya communicate with her son for the last time. Janisa's conversation with her father's spirit made Ning and her mother cry even though they didn't know exactly what Jaya's spirit said to her son.

“ Papa go first, Janisa can't be naughty huh. Janisa should massage Mama and Grandma.” said spirit Jaya.

“ Papa nana..?” janisa asked with round eyes staring at the father's spirit.

“ Papa should go Dear. Janisa so a child who is sinter and sholehah yes, do not cry. Do not forget to doain Papa yes..” said spirit Jaya while hugging and kissing the child.

“ Yes Papa. Dada Papaaa...,” said Janisa while waving her tiny hand.

Jaya waved her hand back then slowly left and lost in the dark of the night. Janisa is no longer

crying out. He approached Ning, climbed up on his lap and kissed her cheek gently as if to say that everything would be fine even without papa beside them.

Ning and her mother cried again. Iyaz and Izar gave some money and promised to come back again. They intend to make Janisa as a foster child so that Janisa's future is more secure later.
