The longer, the more I realized that Jaka was quite lonely because there was no longer Roni who usually always accompanied him when leaving school.
There were no more jokes and laughter when they were helping me to prepare my breakfast and merchandise.
I can't do much this time either. The task that should be done by two people, must be carried entirely by Jaka.
How else, I also have to do my daily duties. In my mind, it would all be easier if we could just accept the situation and keep going as we should.
“Mbak, want to leave first.” said Jaka while kissing my hand.
“Yes, be careful. In a focused school of learning, make Mbak proud.” reply.
Jaka nodded.
“Assalamu’alaikum.” said.
“Waalaikumsalam.”
A man at the age of Jaka, must have felt the pressure so heavy left by the three closest family members.
Not to mention the activities that are usually done by Jaka and Roni together now he must play his own.
The fragments of memories with his brother will still be very imprinted and very difficult to forget.
However, I still hope and pray to Allah that Jaka, my sister, is given fortitude and smoothness in carrying out all her activities.
Today, coincides with Saturday. Learning activities at Jaka school are not as crowded as the previous days. There will be extracurricular activities starting at 11:00 and ending at 13:00
At school, Jaka followed the extracurriculars of painting. He knew that he had a flexible hand in drawing and he wanted to improve his drawing skills.
After school on Saturday, Jaka will usually stop by first to buy light snacks at the market and he will eat when playing on Sunday morning with his friends.
Jaka is a child who loves to share. Although he knew that what he could share was not much, but his strong desire to share had to be acknowledged and appreciated.
Sometimes, if going into the final exam weeks of the semester, Jaka will collect his allowance and buy snacks to share with his friends.
He invited his friends to pray together for the smoothness of the final semester exam to be passed.
I once caught Jaka when after school carrying a large crackle filled with snacks and drinks. At that time, at first Jaka still did not want to tell me what he would do with all the snacks.
However, since I was sure that Jaka was a good child and would not do bad things, I let him just like that.
Until in the end, Jaka told me himself at night after he distributed snacks and drinks that he bought.
For me it's a very proud thing to see a brother of mine who has had the desire to share with each other since this age. I also sometimes feel envious, because of their nature.
This time, Jaka did not buy snacks as usual. He prefers to go to a store that sells groceries and buys staples.
Maybe because he often helps with work in the kitchen, he almost memorized all the names of ingredients I needed to cook every day.
On the way home after shopping for the materials, Jaka saw a pamphlet attached to the power pole. He read the pamphlet carefully.
— RACE BUILDING DESIGN —
Jaka saw that there was no provision on who could take part in the race. The focus of the rules is the originality of the work. That means, even for children the age of Jaka can participate.
Then, he decided to take the pamphlet and bring it home. Along the way, Jaka wondered if he should ask me permission first or not.
Until in the end he made up his mind, that he wanted to participate in the race without my knowledge.
Arriving at home, I saw Jaka carrying the tree ingredients directly helping him to lower it all and put it in the kitchen.
Looking at his serious face, I was suspicious of what he had just experienced and I tried to ask.
“Jaka, what's up?” my many.
“Kok like thinking of something, your face is serious.”.
Jaka just shook his head and smiled at what I just said.
Seeing the response was just like that, in my heart the more curious there was actually a plan what was being done by Jaka.
But I also do not want to take a headache, all I do is hope that everything Jaka does is good things and given smoothness by God.
The next day, Jaka woke up early. Usually on Sundays, after the morning helps me in the kitchen then he will return to lie on his bed.
Unlike this time, Jaka decided to take a shower and pack.
“Mbak, Jaka out this want to go yes.” he shouted from inside the bathroom.
“Where are you going Jak?” my many.
“Ngerjain task.” reply.
The real reason is quite reasonable if you have to prepare so early, maybe because you don't want to go home too late and just miss the Sunday.
But what makes me wonder is why Jaka just asked me for permission this morning.
Usually, Jaka and Roni would tell me in advance if they were going to go to work on Sunday.
Whether Jaka forgets or is intentional, I don't know too much either.
“Ngerjain tasks where?”
My cries and questions this time did not get an answer. I who was preparing my breakfast and merchandise also did not have much time to force my sister to say where she was going.
Staying as scheduled, I do morning activities accompanied by the cold wind that blows this morning.
Hearing the sound of the bathroom door squeaking a sign that someone had just come out of it. I asked Jaka again.
“You have a task where, Jaka?”
“Oh, in. city, Mbak.” Jaka says.
“Be careful ya.” sayku.
Although I don't know whose house is in town. Because as I recall, Jaka's closest friends in his class mostly have houses in the opposite village which if taken by ontel bike only takes about fifteen minutes.
Somehow, someone who had just come out of the bathroom quickly came out of his room in neat clothes.
Seen the gray school bag was hanging on the shoulder of Jaka, he also has to wear socks. It was as if everything had been well prepared since yesterday.
And also, what makes me wonder is if there is any group work done so early.
“Mbak, want to pamit.” he said.
“This spring? What do you want to do anyway?” I tried to ask to get my curiosity answered.
“Tasks, to a distant city. Toh Jaka also brought provisions for breakfast.”
I immediately turned to the dining table, it was true that the hood was already open and there was a little bit of sambal that fell on the table due to the spoon attack.
I thought, since when did Jaka walk up to the dining table and take all that. I was in the kitchen why I didn't realize it.
“Yes already, be careful yes. Do not forget to pray and pray. Let everything be launched.” sahutku.
“Iya, Ma'am. InsyaAllah.”
Jaka grabbed and kissed my hand, and just walked away. Leaving me with curiosity still lingering in my mind.
