"Don't bring it here. I'm gonna take a break."
Anita pecked at Sela's doorstep. His confused face looked at his beloved daughter. Sela had just sat on the bed with Nadin's help.
"Where do you want to go, Deck? Gama should be like you" Anita said.
Sela brushed aside Nadin's hand that was still embracing her shoulders violently. His sharp eyes looked at the lazy Anita. "Serah Mama's. I don't want to get involved with him."
Anita sighed softly. The middle-aged woman chose to turn around leaving her daughter's room. According to Anita, this is not a good time to argue.
"Well, you're still here!?" sentak Sela to Nadin who was still standing next to her.
"That's so fierce," Nadin led her before running small out of the room.
"Basic boy!" shouted Sela growled.
Anita walks lethargicly out of Sela's room. Behind him was Nadin who was running small while laughing. Near him the Guard who had just come from the kitchen.
"Running around?" ask Garda. Nadin yamg's back is still chuckling.
"No, no" replied Nadin with a grin.
Garda glanced at Anita who looked glum. The middle-aged woman sat on the sofa with Gama still loyal in her carriage.
"Why, Ma?" tanya Gama was next to Anita.
"Sela does not want to be with Gama," said Anita lethargic. From the time he was in the hospital, Sela never wanted to touch or even look at her own child.
"Let Gama in the same Guard room as Nadin first," said Garda. The man clearly understood Anita's concern.
Nadin immediately glanced at the Guard cynically. Disagree with her husband's decision. However, the beautiful woman did not issue any protest sentences.
"Well, brother?" ask Anita to make sure. "Mama also why can't forget not ready for the nursery, yes," murmured Anita astonished.
He was eagerly awaiting the presence of his first grandson. Anita only focuses on preparing baby clothes and equipment. While the room for the little whiz was unthinkable.
"No papa, ma," replied the Guard. The man looked at Nadin. "Please prepare the place first, yes, Nad," Pinta Garda.
At first, Nadin showed a look of disbelief to the Guard. But the Guard's sharp eyes immediately made Nadin comply. The woman walked slowly to her room.
Inside the room were several bags filled with baby equipment. Nadin knew for sure the Guard who had brought the item here first.
To start Nadin chose to replace the sheets with new ones. After that, just coat it with a cloth that is among other baby equipment.
"Have, Nad?" ask the Guard who just entered the room.
Nadin looked at the Guard and turned to the baby in his arms. "Gama will sleep with us?" ask Nadin.
The guard smiled at a glance hearing the question. Put the little baby on the bed slowly. After that the new Guard focused on the woman.
"Tomorrow the bed for Gama to come. So Gama didn't sleep with us" replied the Guard.
"But in our room?" tanya Nadin who was immediately nodding Garda.
Nadin's face instantly turned moody. "You don't like it?" asked Garda in response to the change in his wife's face.
Nadin sighed softly. "Why not be the same, Sela, anyway?" nadin whine. His clear eyes stared at the Guard with frowning brows.
"You know for yourself that Sela rejected Gama, Nad," explained the Guard. The man held onto both of Nadin's shoulders tightly. Made Nadin really focus on himself. "Gama will always be like us" the Guard said.
"I mean, Mas?" nadin was confused.
"Huh!? I'm serious!?" asked Nadin who was surprised by the Garda's words.
The guard nodded steadily with Nadin's question. "We adopted the child from the orphanage" the Guard said in a calm voice. "You have to answer that every time someone asks about Gama."
Nadin still could not accept everything the Guard said. Her mind immediately boisterously heard her husband's words. Nadin's confused gaze made the Guard cluck.
"Nad, you understand, don't you, what I said?" ask the Guard to demand Nadin's answer.
"We're Gama's parents?" ask Nadin again.
The Guard nodded firmly to Nadin's question. "More precisely Gama's adoptive parents. Gama we adopted from the orphanage" explained the Guard again.
"But why do we have to do this, Mom?" asked Nadin who still felt unacceptable with the statement of the Guard.
The Guard raised his head for a moment while taking a deep breath. That man was already upset. His head was rubbing against each other. This decision was also very difficult for the Guard.
"Is there anything else that could be the solution to this problem?" ask the floating Guard. The man looked at Nadin inside. "Mama didn't want Gama to leave this family. But ... Mama also does not want the good name of this family destroyed because people know Sela is pregnant without a husband," explained Garda again. The man looked down with a hunting breath. It feels like the Guard itself is heavy with this decision.
"Mas" call Nadin slowly. "I'm not necessarily ready for the presence of my own child. How can I be a parent to a child who is not my flesh and blood?" asked Nadin who looked worried.
"But there is no other choice, Nad," replied the Guard. The man looked up with reddened eyes. "Honestly, I also have a hard time making this decision" said the man.
Nadin was silent again with a chaotic mind. Of course this is a very big decision. He stared at the sharp eyes of the red-looking Guard. "I don't want to, Mas," said Nadin loudly. "I don't want to be Gama's adoptive parent" Nadin explained. This time he had to dare to speak. Because this is not a small thing to go through with force.
"Sorry" said the Guard. He held Nadin's hands tightly. "I did not ask for your consent, Nadin," the Guard said.
"I mean, Dana?" nadin asked.
"You agree or you don't, I'm going to make this decision. So ... Sorry," the Guard said again.
Of course the gaze did not accept directly greeting the Guard. Nadin took off the Guard's grasp violently. "Mas still want to be Gama's adoptive parents?" ask Nadin to make sure.
"Sorry, Nad," the Guard said again. "I can't do anything else."
"Is there no other way?" ask Nadin frustratedly.
The armband of the Guard made Nadin sigh resignedly. "Can you find another solution?"
"No," whined Nadin. Her eyes looked glazed. "But I don't want to have children yet" said the woman.
"Hey," call the Guard. He held both of Nadin's cheeks with his cold hands. "You have nothing to fear" the Guard said calmly.
"But, Mas-"
"We're just Gama's parents legally. The rest of Mama who will take part in caring for Gama," ternag Garda.
"But how is my family?" ask Nadin. "I'm not sure they'll accept this decision."
"We'll think about it later," the Guard said again. He looked into Nadin's eyes with a look. "It's important you remember this. The children we adopted from the orphanage. We adopted her because you can't get pregnant yet."
Nadin's chest immediately rippled with pain hearing the speech. Her tears slowly shed. He stared at the sharp eyes of the Guard with his wet eyes.
"I really can't resist, can I?" ask Nadin again.
"Help me this time," the Guard pleaded with a pleading gaze.
Nadin nodded despite the heavy feeling. The woman brushed away her tears that came back. "Mas Dana doesn't like me being defiant, does she?" nadin asked with the rest of her tears. However, both of his lips appeared to be thinly curved. "I must always obey my husband."
