Ats stood staring at the dozens of skyscrapers standing gallantly. Each building has a different shape, showing how advanced the science of architecture. Street's big. Lights blatantly. It was one of the areas taken from the mapping of cities outside the constellation.
"It's just a virtual world that copies the shape of the real world, but it still amazes me" Ats muttered as he watched around, "All the facilities here are working fine. Transportation is going well. This city is ideal to be occupied, not even less than the capital. It would be better if someone ran it. It feels like a ghost town because no one's been living in it."
"Arselan, show 3D configuration!" ats, then give the coordinate point he wants to go to. A moment later, he saw a hint of direction that seemed to be coming from within the ground. Ats stayed behind to follow those instructions to get to his destination.
"Here we go" Ats stopped at a subway platform. It just so happened that there was a new car until then. With the help of Arselan, he could take easy entry access to it.
"Alone," murmured Ats again. Now he sits in one of the leading seats of the fast train. In the car there was only him. "It feels quiet and quiet."
During that trip, Ats turned on his map of the area. He also saw a building that extends like a tall and magnificent fortress. The fortress stood between a desert sea and a sea of salt water.
Ah, no. It was not a fortress, but a city compacted in one elongated territory. People outside the constellation called it the City of Lines.
"It's a very long area" Ats thought, looking at the map, "It would be very difficult to take the opponent's flag if the headquarters of each camp were at each end of the map."
"Tin!"
A clanking sound was heard, a sign that Ats had arrived at one of the stopping stations. He went down and checked the map of Arselan. There is a bright red dot in the middle of the map. That point is itself.
"It's Moderate" murmured Ats on the platform where the station was descending. He climbed the stairs and went up to the ground floor. Once there, a beautiful urban landscape welcomes its arrival.
The tall buildings rise here and there. Street food shops stand on the right and left. Colorful lights are beautifully lit. Again, Ats muttered the same thing, "It would be nice if there were residents in this city."
He wandered around for a while, then gazed up at the tall buildings. The skyscrapers are suitable to be used as a hiding place for snipers. With the right placement, the Ats team will be able to block the movement of opponents well during the race later.
As soon as he finished observing the central area, Ats returned to the underground station. He took the train to the end of the city. There, he inspected the gagged places that allowed him to infiltrate and hide.
"I'm done with this area" said Ats as he finished his safari, "Arselan, how much more time do I have?"
"We still have time left," Ats said as he stared at the interface screen that appeared before him, "Let's go to the next area. Arselan, move me to this area."
"Replace the virtual space ...," reports Arselan.
The scenery around Ats changed. Buildings, shops, and streets seemed to melt in the air. In less than half a minute, Ats had reached a desert defensive base.
"This time it's a real fortress, huh?" ats thought in his heart. Seen by a vast desert ocean. There is only yellowish dust and sand visible as far as the eye can see. As for where it stands is a building embedded in the sand. It is an octagon with large windows on each side.
"If it's not wrong, it's all around here," Ats's gaze swept across the entire fortress. He's looking for a gun that's usually around here, "Here we go!"
Ats took an assault rifle out of the box. He smiled faintly, then muttered, "When I first tried it, these weapons were just accessories that could not even be touched. The advice from the director of the Salamun Company was indeed great."
"It's a weapon the military used hundreds of years ago" Ats observed the weapon in his hand. When inter-clan warfare occurs, most clans use firearms and bombs to defend themselves or colonize their enemies. Although they had certain characteristics of abilities, there were usually not many who could use them. Only the most elite troops of the elites were specially trained to use the characteristics of that ability to fight, just like the Zarah Clan itself.
"How far is the closest fortress from here?" ats asked as he gazed into the vast desert.
"12 miles to the north" answered Arselan.
"12 miles?" Ats looked to the side. There's a jeep in there. "That's too far away if you use the particle displacement technique. Apparently, we'll have to get on that vehicle first."
Ats pulled a piece of cloth that covered the car. He was stunned for a moment too. The appearance of this car cabin is much different from the familiar shape.
"Wow, what to expect? It's a model from hundreds of years ago" Ats murmured softly, "At least, this vehicle can function properly."
Arselan showed Ats how to operate the jeep. It's not like Ats can't drive a car. However, this car is much different from what he usually wears.
"You're 12 miles, right?" ats asked as soon as he managed to start his car, "We'll be there in less than an hour."
