"It's nice to meet you, Ats," said a jet-black-haired young man who greeted Ats intimately. A friendly smile gushed on his lips. The smile showed her good and polite feelings.
"I'm also happy to meet you, Emir," Ats replied with the same friendly smile.
The Emir is the ambassador of the Asir Family in the capital. It takes care of all the important needs and tasks there. Whenever there is an invitation to attend a meeting, it is the one who will be the representative of his family.
"Greetings, Aunty," The Emir also greeted Doctor Razana politely, "I congratulate her because Bibi is getting married soon. Aunt's wedding will definitely be a great and memorable one this year."
"I'm looking forward to it" Doctor Razana replied with a calm smile. There was a very faint red tinge on his cheek. "Just pray that the wedding goes well."
"Surely," replied the Emir briefly. He looked at a girl hiding behind Ats, then greeted her with ease, "You must be Princess Ayya, right?" It's nice to meet you."
"Hm," Ayya only nodded briefly. He also gripped Ats clothes firmly as if he did not want his time with his brother to be disturbed by the young man.
"We have prepared all your needs" the Emir concluded, "This is our home. So, just tell me if there's less."
"Thank you, Emir," replied Doctor Razana representing her entourage, "This is more than enough."
"He is a Syrian," the Emir introduced a young man who was more or less the same age as Ats, "Call him when you need something."
Syan lowered his face, showing obedience. His hand was taped to the chest, a sign of readiness. His body is ready, ready to receive orders.
"Okay," Ats answered understood. The young man walked into his room followed by Ayya. I feel tired after a long trip. He wants to rest now.
"Observe them" the Emir whispered to Syria. He is a busy man. There was no time for him to pay attention to the person who would probably become his rival in the future.
"Understand me, sir," replied Syan in response.
The emir breathed. He immediately left the residence to finish the rest of his work. Although the Asir Young Master was quite suspicious of his cousin, he was sure Ats would not do anything for now.
As commanded by his master, Syan watched every movement of his guests closely. He played a professional servant so that he was not suspected at all, even by Arselan. Well, after all, his job was to just keep an eye on the pair of sisters who spent their last hours before parting ways. So, there was nothing important that he could report to the Emir other than trivial things.
"Why?" Ats frowned in wonder. In this ultramodern age, it is very rare for people not to go to school. Well, there might be some in the suburbs. However, that does not mean they cannot because the imperial government has given free school facilities to every citizen.
"I can learn anything by myself," replied Syan with his expressionless face, "Again, I don't need a certificate to work for the 'Young Master' Emir."
Syan stressed the word 'young master' to the Emir to affirm his employer's position in this house. After all, he was the loyal servant of the Emir, while the young man sitting enjoying the beauty of this night was his master's rival. Whatever happens, he definitely supports the Emir to be the successor to the leadership of the Asir Family.
"Oh, great," Ats comments briefly. He also turned his eyes to the sky. His eyes stared at the dimly lit artificial star cluster above, but his heart was busy breaking through the infinite horizon.
"I'm happy" Ats said later. His eyes closed, while his lips smiled faintly. "You are a very competent person, Shan. Emir's brother will definitely be greatly helped by you."
"I still have many shortcomings" Syan was aware of him. His experience is still feet. His knowledge is even more superficial. He still has a lot to learn everything.
"Who is a man without flaws?" reply Ats who now opened his eyes, "Everyone must have a lot of shortcomings. How do they take advantage of that lack. Basically, that deficiency can be a strength."
"..."
Syan. This will be a useful note for him. Not to report to the Emir, but really to himself. As far as his observations have been concerned, there is nothing suspicious about Ats' movements. So, you could say that the young man is not a threat—at least now.
"You know?" ats asked quietly, but didn't need an answer. "The world is very small, let alone us who occupy it. What we have will be gone. Nothing is eternal in this world."
"..."
Again, Sean could only be silent. He listened to the words of Ats. His mind tried to guess the direction of the young man's speech.
"Everything in the world has its time" Ats continued after a brief pause, "Children will become adults, then old. The shoots will grow, bear fruit, then weathered. The ocean has its ups and downs. What good is all that pseudo."
"I don't understand what you mean, Young Master," Syan finally replied to Ats. He still could not guess the young man's intentions as hard as he tried.
"It's just a simple philosophy" replied Ats, "In this temporary world, it's as mortal as ever. There is life, there is death. There is day, there is night. They change according to the rate that has been determined for him. Sally, people overestimate me too often. They want me to reach for something heavy and troublesome for me. Fortunately, there was an Emir who wanted to replace me."
