The explosion!
A tall building collapsed as a body slid into it. Amidst the rain of falling debris, the figure quickly changed his posture in the air and fell towards the nearby building on the side.
"Damn it, they have witches among them!" Kaiyi stabilized himself by holding the pipe open, then shouted towards Alice's, "Be careful of the familiar!"
A spell was sung and a purple glint ensued.
"Hissing-"
A gigantic snake spread its wings and shot upwards at an astonishing speed, revealing bloody jaws and sharp fangs.
Alice's eyes narrowed as she threw her wand, plunging the tip of the knife into the wall at the side.
"Hissing!"
Shining yellow eyes set their sights on the hunter as the giant snake viciously bit down on Alice's!
Jaws came pinching, but suddenly stopped. The silver-feathered claw gripped the snake's upper jaw as a blade-like claw cut through its skin and drew blood. The second claw caught the snake's lower jaw.
With the force exerted up and down at the same time, the giant serpent's jaws were gradually torn apart. His body wriggled as he struggled frantically but it was useless as his body was mercilessly split from the middle.
The spark! Blood and offal paint the walls red.
"What?!" The magician who summoned the familiar staggered back in surprise. The color on his face dried up as he cried in disbelief, “How is this possible? How could he maintain his rationality with the mutation rate of this ferocious beast! Damn it, I think it's just a rumor and Heris will tell us if he finds out. He's just using us!”
“What's the point of finding out now? We are already on the battlefield!” another witch beside him. "Don't panic! The Heavenly Wolf's blood was afraid of fire!'
“But it's raining..”
“There is no point in thinking about it excessively! Prepare the gunpowder! Take it easy, he's just a Pandemonium rank. We can win!"
"Howl ..." On the rooftop, a silver wolf as big as a hill stood with its hind legs, its claws glistening with blood as its fur fluttered in the wind. Staring at the witches with piercing gazes, a hoarse female voice came out from her mouth. "There's no way out for all of you!"
In the distance, Kaiyi and Marcus landed on the ground. "Miss ..." muttered Kaiyi excitedly as she stared at the beautiful and dangerous silver wolf above.
Alice's no longer bore any resemblance to a human and had fully studied the mutating conditions of a savage beast. If not for him still being able to speak, any hunter who saw him would have thought that it was a powerful dream monster.
This was the strength all hunters craved! Kaiyi has a premonition that the young mistress will bring a new world to the hunters!
But who exactly was the mysterious tenant at 23rd Avenue who caused all this and helped the young mistress? What exactly is his motive?
"Don't think about it too much" Marcus stopped his thoughts. Patting Kaiyi on his shoulder, he continued, “We just have to follow and share in the glory that will come after him.”
Kaiyi exhaled slowly as his fingers turned black. “You are absolutely right. Come on, the battle still has to go on.”
The two turned into blurred lines, darting at high speed towards where the witches were.
With gunpowder in their hands, the witches chanted fire spells.
“Fire Charms – Fire Activation!”
Behind them, the aether condensed, forming a large amount of fire elements. The white fireball turned into a rain of flames that shot towards Alice's direction.
The silver wolf howled and jumped away, avoiding the dense burst of flames as it landed on all fours and started running. Another barrage of fire arrows struck the ground beside him, creating an explosion that caused him to stumble and scorch some feathers.
Elemental flames continued to rain down, melting the construction in a nearby area due to the high heat.
Alice's howled in pain though the wounds on her body began to close as she continued her mad dash, knocking down a building and hiding herself in a cloud of dust and debris.
He knew that the sorcerer Heris had hired was not weak. The three of them were elite magicians of the Pandemonium rank.
Who could have imagined that a witch who had always hated hunters would cooperate with him?
If not for the gifts and guidance he had received from Mr. Davey, Alice's would have been killed.
Heris was indeed worthy of being the leader of a large group of hunters. First, he had betrayed the second leader Kaji before joining the witches. Moreover, he had been hiding behind the scenes all this time…
But it doesn't matter. In the sky, "Steel Resolve" floated above him, covering the entire area. He had already found Heris' position.
The enchantment of the two mages had already reached its end, The huge flames continuously warped before finally turning into a three-meter long spiral spear.
“Fire Charms – Spear Katya!”
Whooshing
A whirling white fire spear shot forward, creating a sonic boom and dissolving the rain into mist in an instant.
At this moment, Kaiyi and Marcus's sneak attack from behind was successful. Witches were extremely weak in close combat and the three witches were instantly killed. The hunters turned around and watched the fire spears attack the body of the huge silver wolf and explode.
The explosion!
"Thanks!"
......................
With his hands in his pocket, Heris looked at the urban area before him wrapped in a boundary charm. Flames flickered in the rain as explosions sounded like muffled thunder crossed the line. In this heavy rain, no one noticed.
Small and large battles like this have taken place dozens of times in Norzin.
The damage the buildings suffered in this battle would be blamed on the torrential rain that would wash away all the blood.
Heris looked like a mature middle-aged man. The wrinkles around the corner of his eyes and the gray hair with white strands made him appear firm and cold.
Behind him stood a young man holding a black umbrella.
“Uri, someone helped him,” muttered Heris. “I never knew there was such a person in Norzin. Control animal mutations..Even Wilde has no way to do this.”
"Mm" the young man holding the umbrella groaned in acknowledging.
"Have you seen Wilde?"
"No."
“Go visit it. He is still your teacher. Someone from the Secret Rite Tower told me that he appeared on 23rd Avenue. Maybe, he might have some leads. ”
"Yes." Yeah."
Only
“Also...” Heris cut off in the middle of the road.
"Reload!"
A small crack in the aether appeared in the air as the silver wolf leaped out, moving so fast that it was only a streak of silver.
It was Alice's!
The Heavenly Wolf's blood surged on his body and this high-level beast mutation gave him the special characteristics of a dream beast.
Moreover, the Sky Wolf had a reputation of being able to leap through space and time!
Steel Resolve gave him a certain degree of foresight. Just when the fire spear was about to attack him, he had jumped to the coordinates he had set his sights on!
Heris' cold indifferent attitude turned into a shocked expression. In the next moment, the silver wolf had dropped it to the ground and ripped off his shoulder.
He took out a dagger and stabbed viciously into the silver wolf's eyes, tightening his muscles as he held onto the silver wolf's leg with a vice-like grip. "Mad!" he growls.
The young man who was pushed away by the shockwave staggered back twice. Blood flowed from his forehead, but his gaze was sharp as he shouted, “Technique of Confusion! Technique Flash!”
The power of the black magician language depended on his innate skills as well as his creativity. How subtle and simple the spell of a witch would illustrate her mastery of magic. A simpler spell represents a higher level of mastery.
For example, teacher Wilde, a black mage at the periphery of the Supreme rank, was able to complete the release of magic with just ordinary words.
Alice's howling, Her mind was caught in a puzzling vortex and her vision was bleached from the stabbing.
As Wilde's student, Uri has honed his skills in many battles and is adept at providing top-notch support.
Heris hooked her hands up, breaking the silver wolf's front legs. He took out a dagger and turned the big wolf to the ground.
"Damn!" Alice's felt her whole world falling. His spine seemed to be almost broken and a great sense of danger enveloped him.
"Decide Steel!" reciting Alice's.
The octopus-like spiritual mass in the sky that followed him stuck out its tentacles to cover his nose and mouth, dispelling the negative status.
Alice's awakened and through her blood-soaked vision, saw a cold ray quickly approach her.
The feathers on his body stood up as he quickly opened his jaw, tilted his head and bit the piercing dagger towards him.
Extinguish!
The dagger pierced through his cheek and got caught between the teeth and the flesh.
Alice's cold eyes were filled with killing intent as she turned her head and tore Heris' arm while her large body rolled forward. The sickening sound of bone crumbling erupted from Heris' body.
Alice's then reached out her hand and clawed Heris' body from both sides.
"Fire Spell – Rotting Sun!"
With enough time to prepare, Uri finally finished his spell.
A blinding illusory sun appeared above Alice's, shining down on her. His flesh and skin started to swell and wriggle as rotten black smoke started to pour out from his body where the sunlight hit. It was a terrifying strength and Alice's felt as if her body would swell and explode at any moment.
Visually, this was just a sickening sight.
The danger! Extreme danger! Escape! This was the only thought in Alice's mind as she immediately chose to make a powerful space leap once again.
His body that could no longer bear the tension completely changed in the process of jumping.
Plash!
He doesn't even know where he landed.
“Haa... Haa..” Uri gasps as his limp hands form a movement to throw Putrefying Sun into the sealed boundary. “Mr Heris... Are you okay?”
He stood up, looked ahead and met with an alarming sight.
The leader of the White Wolf, Heris, was lying on the bloodied ground with his severed arm thrown several meters away. He seems to be on the verge of death.
"I'm fine." Unexpectedly, the man's voice was as calm as ever.
Shaking heavily, he stood up. The flesh and muscles regenerated rapidly and an arm grew from its stump covered in blood. More surprisingly, another arm grew from the wounds on his body.
Heris glanced at him for a moment and then released her extra arm.
This is a common occurrence for a hunter with a high concentration of dirty blood — physical mutations.
If Heris did not do the 'cleansing' of her body periodically, she would become a multi-eyed and many-eyed abomination in no time.
“It looks like the tenant at 23rd Avenue is even stronger than we imagined.”
"Are you talking about the power to transcend space-time?"
“No,” Heris shook her head. “I mean, he can use Ruen's soul to access her intelligence network, determine our exact position, and also eliminate your mind confusion techniques. This kind of power interests me a lot. ”
The two completely drenched figures stared at the severely damaged area within the boundary after being ravaged by Uri's Putrefying Sun for quite some time.
“Unfortunately, I have a more urgent matter to pay attention to now. Just look, Uri. He's more important than Wilde.”
"Yes." Yeah." Urin.
Heris opened her palm, revealing an egg that looked like a gemstone.
"Say, Uri, what do you think will hatch from her?" muttered Heris while looking at her with an obsessed expression on her face.
"... A dream animal."
"No, not at all. It was a god, a true god.

Davey closed his bookstore, locked the door, and locked the window. He then checked all of his bookshelves once and kept his register logs and account books.
Finally satisfied, she took the dreamcatcher Wilde gave her and headed upstairs to get ready for bed.
The layout of the second floor is very different from the first. The first floor was full of books while the second floor was where all the living facilities were located.
In addition to the restroom, kitchen, and bedroom, there is even a special small corner for exercise.
Since she doesn't go out much and spends most of her time confined inside a bookstore, Davey has no choice but to put together a weekly practice schedule for himself.
Although his training level was not too challenging, he could not allow himself to truly become a vagabond.
Due to the unrelenting rain and slight leakage from the ceiling, the entire second floor felt damp.
Davey felt he was negligent and completely forgot to take the chalk dryer to absorb the moisture. "Haa, I'll take it when the rain stops."
Davey opened his bedroom door, revealing only the bed, table, and chairs in this narrow space.
Piles of paper containing his research sources piled up on the table. All of this was a small investigation he had conducted over the two years he had spent assimilating into life in Norzin.
Davey found a nail, plugged it into the wall to form a simple hook and hung a beautiful dream catcher on it. His position is located right on his pillow.
If Davey is lying down, the tip of the dream catcher's feather will directly face his eyes.
After storing his equipment, Davey stretched his back, took off his clothes, turned off the lights, and lay on the bed.
He noticed the soft feathers swaying on it.
“Hopefully this is really effective..beautiful dream.” Davey closed his eyes and darkness took over.
......................
The dreams?
Davey blinked a few times as he stared blankly at the vast white world before his eyes as delicate snowflakes fell gently around him.
He raised his head and looked at the lush green branches, covered in snow. The tree trunk was bent like an artery growing from the ground with a large canopy that seemed to block the sunlight. The vast expanse of white iris flowers on the ground swayed in the wind.
Under him, a silver-haired woman was lying with her eyes closed.
Her pretty face was like pure moonlight and she was wrapped in a thin white cloth. A pair of pale, stain-free legs peeked out from under the cloth.
Soon, Davey thought of some words he had heard before from a source he had long forgotten—— With a needle rug and my snow crown.
