Chapter 6
Along the Gondangdia road, there is a small shop that sells antiques and authentic items. From the outside, there was a distinct aura from the shop, like a mystic covering the store. Stores that are filled with dusty items where because they are rarely cleaned by the store owner. Many boxes of ancient records were stacked in one container, gramophones for rotating the disc, high-rise shelves, and collections of old comics, he said, there was even a glass box containing visible keris on the top wall, right next to it was a small counter in a corner.
There was a man who was over forty years old, sitting behind his small counter. Ki Gede who is known to people around and customers has a cross section that is no less eccentric like the shaman of the Majapahit era. The sharp face, a little scary but has an eye that implies kindness and is filled with the twists and turns of life that has been passed. The hair is shiny silver white and the beard is left long messy.
Ki Gede who was now widening his eyes to a girl right in front of him was holding a black disc that fell on the floor. The girl was surprised at the timid attitude of re-picking the fallen black disk. Ki Gede who looked like a witch doctor immediately rushed to snatch the black disk from the hands of the girl who managed to take it from the floor with courage of only about fifty percent.
"If you can't hold this disc, don't go into my store!" ki Gede snarled at the girl.
"But, Ki I'm going to buy that black plate, Ki," the girl still has a timid look on her face.
"Don't just say you! Just so you know yeah, this black disk is older than your great-grandfather, you know!"
Ki Gede who just put the disc back into the box again. The girl who heard that decided not to continue her desire and immediately decided to leave the antique shop. When he pulled the door to get out of the store, he almost hit three people in front of him who wanted to enter the store as well.
Yoga, Tia, and Dani did not seem surprised to see the girl who had just come out of the store. Unlike Tia who knitted next to her eyebrows. No wonder the rules owned by this store that makes the buyers decide to run away and withdraw to get out of this store in addition to the fierce owner and the goods in this store have age and age for centuries.
Tia who saw Ki Gede who was standing near the pile of special boxes of black plates was greeting as if she was familiar with the owner of the store. But in contrast to Ki Gede who has the authority to only respond with Deheman only.
"Ki, my order that came yesterday, has it?" ask Tia again.
Ki Gede who heard that, nodded his head at the sign that the item had been there and immediately showed his thumb towards a shelf that was next to his counter. Tia just went straight to the direction designated by Ki Gede. While Dani who immediately ran to where the old books while reading a glance.
While Yoga who has another agenda is immediately closer to the counter Ki Gede where Ki Gede himself is beberes his small desk.
"Ki, look at that keris in the box dong?" pinta Yoga while pointing at the keris where the keris is on display.
Ki Gede followed the index finger that set his gaze towards the keris on display inside the glass box. "Ah, you can't afford that, Yoga. Find another one," Ki Gede smiled as he looked towards Yoga.
The smile that Ki Gede had just shared seemed to disappear as he looked at the young man standing right in front of him. He knew there was something about the young man. He knows that Yoga does not realize that there is something wrong with itself.
"Huh?" Yoga is confused by the question that comes out of Ki Gede. It's not usual for Ki Gede to ask something like this, he thought.
Ki Gede did not take his eyes off Yoga one bit. He stared hard with his eyes almost out. Realizing that, Yoga felt fear enveloping himself suddenly. Soon Yoga came to a realization with a crisp smile rising on his lips.
"We finished watching the movie at Cinema XXI, kok.., not doing anything," said Yoga a little relaxed in response to the middle-aged man who was in front of him.
Ki Gede who is still looking at Yoga sharply as if dissatisfied with the answer given by Yoga. He stressed the situation so that Yoga was honest with himself what the young man with the indo face had just done. Soon Yoga realized again and immediately diverted the conversation that did not want to make himself afraid.
Yoga turned his gaze toward the displayed keris again, "Come on dong, Ki.., I just want to see, Kok. Not going to ration, promise deh," refer to Yoga. "I'm looking for inspiration again."
Ki Gede does not criticize the persuasion of Yoga. He looked at Yoga without a blink of an eye. He saw something no ordinary person could see. Only certain people can see such things. In his vision, slowly Yoga's face paled like an undead that would soon be stiff, then there was blood coming out of his nose slowly dripping which was getting more and more swift. The Yoga face becomes more and more blue with veins that are clearly visible on his face. His originally light brown eyes slowly turned blood red with pupils shrinking to a speck of black ink in a sea of blood. He did not take his eyes off for a while while the young man standing right in front of him was still blabbering with his style.
"YOGA!" Call Ki Gede who surprises everyone in the dusty little shop. "I asked you seriously..Why are you? What did you do just now?"
Instantly Tia who was still busy looking for his order plate on the back shelf, stole hear what Ki Gede had just said.
"Ga?" call Tia direct her gaze towards Yoga.
At once, Dani also looks confused by what really happened with Yoga. He looked at Tia and met a look, then shifted it again towards Yoga. Yoga who realized his friends were looking at him then shrugged his shoulders confused by Ki Gede's behavior.
Yoga turned his gaze towards Ki Gede again, seeing that there was something in Ki Gede's hand. A jug that was brown was made from clay and it looked quite old. Ki Gede directly thrust the pitcher towards Yoga.
"Take this jug. You're gonna need this!" ki Gede.
