Wife Arjuna CHAPTER 22
Silence stretched inside the room from the moment they returned after the dinner. Juna lay down on his back to Anggi. No one spoke, especially Juna. There was only a gripping silence, almost suffocating.
The warmth and sweet attitude of Juna rumbled out of nowhere. After an unexpected encounter with Viona, his face clouded gloomily.
Anggi stared at the sturdy back that was curled back to him. Juna lay so far from his reach. His heart grimaced. The sweet taste he had recently tasted seemed to be just pseudo.
Taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly is done over and over again. Scolding yourself for a moment. Forgetting the gap between Juna and himself. There was a desire to cross without knowing yourself. Forgotten as to what Juna thought of him from the beginning.
The seeds in the heart that had been stocked and began to sprout, he forcibly plucked from his roots without mercy. Not wanting to let the despair in her veins grow knowing it would definitely end in a wound.
Take courage. Anggi decided to rebuild the new fort. After witnessing for yourself how Juna reacted when he met Viona, that's when Anggi re-awakened where to position himself. His place is only as someone who must return the favor, not expect to be considered equal more loved.
Together with one clear drop from the fertilizer, Anggi closed his eyes tightly. Screaming and wailing at nature to give her sleepiness. At least in dreamland, his world always blossomed beautifully. Dreams that reflect hope, namely coiled in the arms of beloved Mother.
Mom, I miss you.
The second day after the event was over, Juna immediately left for Jakarta without attending a friendly event. Along the way, the two remained silent. There is no chatter or joke like when leaving.
Arriving at home, Juna just dropped down for a while and went away again somewhere, even though the day had entered the night time. Anggi could only look at the nanar. Hurriedly wiping the clear water that fell on the fertilizer using the back of a hand as soon as Mercy Juna's car sped out of the garage.
“Bu, maybe want to drink milk tea?” Bik Tiyas asked after he finished transporting the suitcase also souvenirs from Bandung into the house.
“Bby, Bik. Looks delicious. Also bring some ginger cookies purchased from Bandung. Half an hour to the room. I'm gonna take a shower for a second.”
It's ten in the night and Juna still doesn't come home. He wants Anggi to send a short message. She asked what she was doing and where her husband was.
He paused when he recalled what he meant to Juna. Anggi chuckles discordantly, the more he understands that he is only used as an impingement. But Anggi thinks rationally, isn't it worth it? She needs Juna for her mother's sake and for the sake of showing off to those who betrayed her. One intention is commendable, but the other is not. The impact on the consequences to be borne is not cheap.
Shooing the chest. Anggi do not want to lament fate. Choose to improve in the room while preparing the need to visit his mother tomorrow in the hospital.
He scrunched his forehead when he opened the closet which is where Juna's Jas is stored. Anggi put a clean suit that a while ago ushered Bik Tiyas into the room. Crouch when you see a paper bag open at the base of the closet.
Curious, Anggi took it. Frowning as it took out its contents which turned out to be his black bag. Anggi just remembered, this bag was left behind in the hospital when Juna dragged him home by force. He was forgotten because he fell ill after that day.
“Since when is this bag here?” he mumbled asking himself.
Anggi sat on the bed. Opening the zipper and the first to pop out was his mother's home certificate. Anggi. How could he forget the crucial thing about the certificate. Lucky securities that must have meant a lot to Ningrum, still neatly stored in there.
“Yeah, I can forget anyway!” he was upset himself.
However, then Anggi was stunned with his eyes fixed straight on the contents of the bag. Some of the contraceptive pills she bought were still intact in there. Instantly he flinched. Face paled. Just realized for so long not taking a pregnancy-preventing pill.
With trembling hands, Anggi snatched the calendar on the nightstand. Counting correctly and after repeated several times, his world seemed to rotate and collapse instantly.
